Chapter 169 169 Great Forest

'I don't know why but for some reason, that girl pisses me off, and I got myself into a bigger problem, how do I explain this' Melissa mumbled as Alex was looking at her in surprise.

Melissa dragged Alex till they got to the door and let go of his hands, immediately she moved away from him and turn her face away.

"You are the one that said we have to get there before nightfall and you are flirting with an NPC!!" Lynx mouthed.

"I wasn't flirting and besides they are not NPCs anymore, we are exactly like them," Alex said.

"So where to next, weapon, armor, or normal clothing?" Max asked.

'Phew!! I thought he would ask me why I held his hands' Melissa mumbled under her breath.

"We already have weapons, we should head to the armor shop, or do any of you need weapons?"

"Nah, let's go"

[Blood Dagger - Epic]

[Skill - Ownership]

Alex brought out the dagger Melissa gave him from his inventory and held it as they walked towards the armor shop, the shop was just a few meters away but the crowd made it hard to get through.

'Melissa have no idea what the skill means, I also have no idea what ownership means, is that even a skill, well I'll try it when we get to the forest, wait...inspect'

[Ownership: Blade returns to the hands of the owner anytime he wants regardless of where the blade or the owner is, blood synchronization required]

'Ohh, the inspect skill is really helpful, but what is blood synchronization?'

"We're finally here, I hope we get good equipment" Max spoke, as a paladin he was the one that needed good equipments more than the rest of them.

"Hey guys, do any of you know what blood synchronization means?" Alex asked the group.

"Blood synchronization, syncing something with your blood, that's probably it, why do you ask" Gabriel spoke.

"It's this dagger, anyway let's..."

Before Alex could finish his sentence Max already opened the door and to their surprise, the store was filled to the brim with players, all selecting different armor to buy.

...

"That was hard, all the good items were already taken" Max mumbled.

"But you still got a chain mail, the rest of you bought nothing," Lynx said.

"So we're heading towards the forest now right," Gabriel said nervously.

"Maybe, or should we get more food, we don't know when we'll exit the forest and we are definitely going to get hungry," Alex said.

"I saw a bakery, we should stop and get some bread and water before leaving," Max said.

"I'm a little scared guys, I really don't think you to the forest would be a good idea," Rebecca said.

"We have no choice, we need the health potions and only one potion shop is in Melmond, and even if we decide to leave this city, traveling is still dangerous," Alex said.

"The forest is filled with low leveled beasts, there's nothing to be afraid of, just stick close to me, the boys can protect themselves," Melissa said.

"Ohh...I totally forgot we have someone reliable on our team, let's go kick some ass" Gabriel said.

"Hey... I'm also reliable" Alex pouted.

"Yes, but you are no longer the strongest here so you have to learn your place" Lynx snorted with a smile on his face.

"But Alex is also reliable, he makes all the plans and brings good ideas, now that I think about it, if we had gone to the Gold You guys wouldn't be able to fight at all," Melissa said.

"Are the beasts in the Gold Continent that powerful?" Alex asked.

"Really powerful, level 35 and above, but there is a particular beast tribe that stands out among all, they are called the lizard folks"

"Lizard, like a real lizard?" Max asked.

"They are lizards but they are human-sized lizards capable of wielding weapons and the worst part of all, their HP increases when they are in water, for them any water is like a regeneration pond"

"So even if their HP is 1, if they get in water it heals them back?" Gabriel asked.

"Yes, and they also don't fight alone, but that's the Gold Continent, you guys are save here, you are already considered high-level players in the Bronze Continent so there's nothing to worry about," Melissa said with a smile as they walked towards the bakery.

The bakery was just like the eatery, all the items there were Medieval, and the group had to wait in line for them to get served. Alex was the one responsible for buying as he had more money than any of them, Alex bought 20 portions of large-sized bread just in case.

Pilgrim bottles were used to keep water and the group had six bottles, one for each person and so their journey was starting.

The six of them had no more stops so they walked towards the city gates, the sun was already going down by the time they arrived at the gate so they had to move fast.

As soon as they exited the city gate they could see the forest from afar, now that they were actually heading there Alex was starting to feel nervous.

If any of them were killed, then it's over, since his HP was just 220, he had to be extra careful, especially of marksmen and hitmen whose headshot could finish anyone off with a single hit but with his team here he wasn't afraid.

Melissa was the strongest of all and he had seen her power first-hand against the desert scorpion so he knew nothing in the Bronze continent could match her power.

"It seems most players choose the Bronze Continent same as us but none of them have left the city," Max said.

"That's good news for us, at least we won't have to worry about getting ambushed by other players," Gabriel said.

"Who would dare ambush us, after seeing Melissa's level none of them would dare," Lynx said.

"We can't see each other levels anymore" Rebecca pointed out.

ραпdα- n૦νe|`c,0m "Still we have to be careful, some players might have left the city so we have to be extremely careful" Alex spoke.

"Don't worry, I have good ears along with a skill that helps me locate prey so nothing to worry about" Melissa said.

"Prey... I'm really happy you are on our team" Max said.

The group walked for a long time and finally reached the forest, now it was already night time and they could barely see but Alex wasn't disturbed.

[Inventory]

Alex opened his inventory as he brought two of his daggers out, his blood dagger and his demon blade, the rest of the group also prepared themselves in case of danger, Melissa brought out her quiver and bow, Lynx held his flintlock, while Max wore his armor and had his sword in his hands.

Rebecca did as Melissa told her and stick close with both of her healing canes in her hands. Alex opened his map and now that they were in the great forest, a good portion of the map was visible.

After visiting a location, it becomes visible on the map forever, so Alex could see exactly where the moonlight plants were and they were not that far out.

"The plants aren't that far away," Alex said.

"So what's the plan, we barge in there and take some plants then a bunch of undead jumps out and protects the plants right?" Lynx asked.

"Yes, but last time we already got the plants before the skeletons attacked," Max said.

"Skeletons, so we can meet any undead warriors, that's pretty slick" Lynx said.

"I hope we don't get attacked by skeletons, I really hate them last time" Rebecca muttered.

"I hope we get attacked by skeletons, among all the undead, they are the easier to kill because their body is easily shattered," Gabriel said.

"Undead, I just hope we don't face ghouls, they are pretty strong for undead warriors," Melissa said.

"Ghoul, even their name is scary," Rebecca said.

"But you have all the advantages against undead, now that you have two healing canes, you can deal double the damage you were able to deal last time," Alex said.

"She's a healer, how can she deal damage?" Lynx asked.

"Healers use light magic to heal, and light magic is effective against undead, SnowEmpress can defeat an undead army with her eyes closed," Melissa said.

"We are here," Alex said.

"Wait, this is the same place we got the moonlight plants before and the large tree is still there, but it feels different," Max said.

"Flesh..." an eerie voice echoed.
