Chapter 154 154 Melissa/Huntress

"Hi, are you okay, you fell in the snow so I rushed over, are you sure you are fine, do you need help," Alex said.

"I'm fine, this is nothing," the girl said.

'Ohh, I remember now, her name is Melissa, shit I don't know what to say, I can't keep staring at her' Alex said inwardly.

'He's looking at me without saying anything, do I look bad, is there something on my face, there is no way this cute boy is interested in me, wait my face' Melissa quickly touched her face.

"Did you lose something?" Alex asked as Melissa faced away immediately.

'Did he see my face, oh no, or maybe not' Melissa mumbled as he looked at the ground.

When she fell, the mask she was wearing got stuck in the snow but outside was already dark so Alex didn't see her face that well.

"Are you looking for this?" Alex asked as he picked up a face mask from the ground.

Melissa glanced at his hand and stretch her hands without raising her head so Alex wouldn't see her face.

"Is something wrong, are you afraid of something?" Alex asked as he turned around.

"I'm not, I'm very sorry," Melissa said as she turned around.

"Wait...I didn't mean to scare you away, you left your...and she's gone" Alex mumbled weakly.

"I don't want him to see my face" Melissa spoke as she closed her door, immediately she did she saw her mum coming down the stairs.

"Are you back, did you run or what?" Melissa's mum asked.

"Back from where? Oh...give me a minute" Melissa mumbled as she dashed outside again.

"What is she afraid of, why is she covering her face, is she afraid of the cold or what, what do I do with this, should I hand it to her or just throw it away" Alex stood there thinking about it when the door opened again.

Melissa walked out of the door and picked up the pace, when she heard Alex's voice.

"Melissa..."

"Who is...damn forgot about him, what is wrong with me today, my mask...I can't go back in"

"Do you still want the mask back?" Alex said as he walked towards her.

"Yes...Thanks" Melissa said as she wore the mask and covered part of her face. Both of them stood there looking at themselves before Alex spoke.

"Are you going somewhere?"

"Yes, I'm going to buy something for my mum" she answered shyly.

"Can I come with you?" Alex asked.

"I thought you were heading somewhere?"

"No, I was bored at home so I came out, I'm not heading anywhere," Alex said.

"Okay, but the store is quite far"

"No worries," Alex said as both of them walked forward.

'Why is he walking with me, is he interested in me, no we only met twice I'm just overthinking this, I normally spend all my time at home so I don't talk with boys a lot and besides this boy is too handsome'

"So Melissa are you in college?" Alex asked.

"Yes, I go to school here in Northfrost, what about you?" Melissa asked.

"Woodpine"

"Ohh, my friend attended that college, I heard it is a really good school," Melissa said.

"Yeah," Alex chuckled slightly as both of them walked out of the large estate gate.

Both of them walked to the store without speaking to each other, Alex was busy admiring the surrounding as he had never seen walked around this street before while Melissa was too shy to start up a conversation till they finally reached the store.

"Woah, it's really big" Alex mumbled.

"It's the biggest store around and they sell almost everything you can possibly look for," Melissa said.

The store was one of the largest stores Alex had visited, the design was simple and thousands of light made the store very beautiful.

Alex stood there looking around while Melissa quickly grabbed a shopping cart.

"I'll push it just grab the items you need," Alex said as he took the cart away from her.

"No, I can push it, you don't need to bother yourself," Melissa said.

"It's not a bother, lead the way," Alex said.

Both of them walked through each section of items and Melissa selected the items she needs and placed it in the cart while Alex pushed them around.

"Ohh, that's a great spot for a date, isn't it," Alex said as he looked at a small eatery inside the store.

Melissa's face turned red and she quickly faced away, if Alex was showing her somewhere great for a date then he was planning on bringing someone.

'Wait...what if he has a girlfriend, I didn't even consider the possibility that a handsome boy like this wouldn't have a girlfriend, he attends a school in woodpine so his girlfriend would probably be there'

"Melissa..." Alex called.

'But there's a possibility that he might not have a girlfriend, even though he doesn't, there's no way he would want me to be his girlfriend right?'

"Melissa, are you okay?" Alex asked jolting her back to reality.

"I'm sorry, let's continue," she said with a smile.

'Have I met her somewhere, she looks too familiar, really familiar...where did we meet' Alex thought as he looked at Melissa.

The two of them walked around and reached the game section, she wasn't buying anything from there but the two of them took their time looking at Nova Online helmets.

Melissa took over the cart as they reached the counter, she removed her mum's credit card from her pocket and paid for the items she brought.

Once again Alex carried the items for her as they walked home, after a few minutes of small talk they finally arrived home.

Melissa stays with her parents, like Alex Melissa's mum was a housewife and her dad did all the providing, she had a little brother around Alex's last sister's age.

"I'm sorry for prying but why are you covering your face with a mask?" Alex asked as they were a few meters away from Melissa's home.

pαndα,noνɐ1,сoМ "Nothing..." Melissa said, "I'm already home, thanks for your help," she said as she grabbed the items from Alex's hand.

"Are you angry, I'm really sorry for asking" Alex said without taking his hands off the things she bought.

"I'm not angry, and let go I'm already home, I can carry it myself," Melissa said as she attempts to drag it from Alex's hand but instead she slipped in the snow and fell backward.

Alex quickly let go of the items and wanted to catch her but it didn't go the way he envisioned and both of them ended up falling with Alex on top, her cap fell off and her white hair came out.

"Wait, I know you" Alex spoke as he removed the face mask from her face.

"What are you doing!!" Melissa shouted and face the other way to cover part of her face.

"Huntress..." Alex mumbled.

"Huh!! how did you know my name?" she asked immediately and looked at him.

"I knew you looked familiar, you don't remember me right, I was just a low-level player you used to achieve your goals," Alex said as he stood up.

"I usually wear a mask so I don't know how you recognized me, I really don't...wait...you are that boy, oh my God"

"You remember me, in the mountain, I was used as bait for scorpions, I didn't know then that you were the top 5 player," Alex said with a smile.

"I became the top five player after I completed that mission," she said with a smile, she had forgotten that her face mask was on the ground.

"You look beautiful so I don't think you should cover your face with a mask, isn't it uncomfortable?" Alex asked.

"I'm used to wearing it so it's not uncomfortable, and don't try to make me feel better by telling me I'm beautiful"

"I'm not trying to make you feel better, I told you the same thing the first time I saw your face, you look even more beautiful in real life" Alex said with a smile.

'I look beautiful, he said I look beautiful' Melissa's face had turned bright red and she faced away as she blushed furiously.

"I can't believe you are the top 5 player, how much do you get paid?" Alex asked.

"5,000 dollars in a month," Melissa said.
