Chapter 150 150 Surprise Attack

The carriage was coming from the forest, according to the map, a small path was created in the forest by the bandits that allowed a carriage to pass through as long as they don't speed up.

After seeing the map, Alex directed the girls to stand watch and look in the area the carriage would arrive from.

The three of them quickly moved into action, even though they had minutes of rest, they were still mentally exhausted, their strength and everything were back to normal after they leveled up but going right back into a fight was tiring.

But they had no choice, the group finally met up close to one of the houses and they could already hear galloping sounds closing by.

"They are more carriages" Alex mumbled, 'that's right what am I thinking, he's coming here to take slaves so they would be carriages used for transporting the slaves'

"We should hide," Gabriel said.

"That's the obvious choice but what do we do after hiding, the merchant would come here alone right, he's going to be here with guards, guards that are more powerful than normal bandits," Lynx said.

"Alex what are you thinking about, what should we do?" Max asked.

"I'll show myself to them," Alex said.

"Huh!! you'll do what, if they have more guards, you'll probably get killed, it's too risky"

"I won't, you guys should go around while they are focused on me, count their exact number and I'll give you guys a signal and we'll attack, also don't take out the merchant, if he tries to run take his legs, now is the time we need Bridget and she's no..." Alex slowed down and chuckled slightly.

"Why are you laughing, and where's Bridget, she's good at throwing knives" Lynx grumbled.

"I'm right here," Bridget said and the rest of them flinched before turning around, Alex was facing the other way so he was able to see her.

"That's why he was laughing," Lena said.

"You girls should go with them and stay out of sight, we are taking over the carriage," Alex said and turned around.

"I'm nearly out of throwing knives" Bridget spoke.

"Then take mine," Alex said as he opened his inventory and handed her all the throwing knives he had left, when searching the camp he found his demon blade and his second steel dagger so he was already complete.

The carriages were now inside the camp and the group's plan was in motion, according to one of the girls, the merchant carries around 20 girls each time, so two carriages are for transportation while the other two are for guards, the carriages stopped at an open ground close to the forest trees.

Alex took a wooden chair from the camp and walked towards the carriage, the guards were getting down one after the other and Alex placed the chair quite a distance away and sat down comfortably, while the other went around to use the back.

"Who's that guy, is he one of them, what about Zen"

"He doesn't look like one of them, it's just a kid, what happened here"

"I wanted to say the same, it's unusually quiet, where are the others" the guards who saw Alex spoke to themselves.

The guards Alex saw were ten in total before the merchant stepped down from the carriage, the merchant was a short fat bearded man.

[Alan - Merchant]

"Huh!! something Isn't right" the merchant spoke as soon as he looked around.

Other times when he arrived, the bandits along with the girls would already be waiting then when he arrives Zen would be called, but now he could only see one kid sitting on a chair.

"You there where is Zen, and I haven't seen you before, are you new," Alan asked.

"Yes I'm new, I'm the new owner of this camp, I'm Alexander" he spoke with a smile.

"What do you mean new owner, did you kill Zen?" one of the guards asked.

"Yes, along with everyone here, except the girls of course, I knew something special would come with them and I guess I was right," Alex said.

"You are really confident, sitting down talking to me when you can be killed in an instant" the merchant spoke.

"That's not the issue on ground, for now, these questions are supposed to be going through your mind, 'How did he kill Zen, how did he kill everyone single person here, how powerful is he' These questions are supposed to be what you need to be asking"

"It doesn't matter if you are stronger than Zen, if you try anything stupid, you are going to be killed, and I guess you now have control over the girls, where are they?"

"Anything stupid, you are still missing the reason I'm sitting here"

"And what is the reason?" the merchant asked.

"I want in on your business, not as one of your lousy guards, but as a partner, and given my strength I can serve as a personal guard" Alex spoke.

"You want in...on my business, you do know you can be killed right now, and if you are killed the slaves are transferred to the person who kills you"

"I know that, but here I am sitting fearlessly," Alex said with a smile.

[Hey Alex, they have two marksmen watching you and I think they are gunmen among the guards, Bridget is going for the marksmen, we'll tell you when they are dead] Gabriel messaged Alex.

"Why do you think I'll agree to your request, I don't need a partner and the last thing I need is someone I know nothing about following me around"

"But you already know everything about me, I already told you my name is Alexander, what else is there to know Alan" Alex spoke.

"How do you know my name, have you been following me around?" the merchant asked.

[She killed the marksmen, and now I have more guns and more bullets, so what's the signal?] Lynx messaged.

[We strike the moment I stand up from this chair] Alex messaged back.

"No I just happened to guess right" Alex smirked.

"Should we dispose of him?" the guards asked.

"No need, we have a faster way of doing that" the merchant smiled as he raised his right hand, the guards all smiled as they knew what was going to happen but Alex sat comfortably on his chair.

"What is wrong with them?" the merchant shouted.

"Are you really asking that, you really don't know what is wrong with them, then I'll give you a hint, the gods rescued them from the bloodbath that is going to occur" Alex spoke as he stood up.

"They are more enemies!!" one of the guards shouted and was about to turn around.

>BAM!!<

>BAM!!<

Immediately Alex stood up from the chair two of the guards fell and blood flowed uncontrollably from their heads, the rest of the guards were prepared to run so they could get out of the range of the marksmen but the ground suddenly turned soft.

When the group was scouting, Lynx saw some of the guards with gun holsters, and they were the first ones he killed.

"What's wrong with the ground?" the guards shouted.

"My eyes, I can't see" one of the guards screamed as two small knives were sticking out of both of his eyes.

Even though the guards outnumbered them, they had one advantage, the best advantage in a battle, a surprise attack.

Everything was happening so fast that the guards didn't know what to do, the ground was slowly drawing them in, two marksmen were on the roof, Alex was rushing towards them and someone else was throwing knives at them.

The riders of the carriage immediately jumped down and ran away as soon as the first shots were fired, luckily they were a few meters away from the horses so none of them were startled by the sudden gunshot.

The merchant couldn't fathom what was going on, his guards who were supposed to protect him were getting killed one after the other and his legs were sinking as he struggled to escape but he had the worst luck of all.

Alex wasn't going for any of the guards instead he had his eyes on the merchant.
