Chapter 243 Cars

Butler Gongshun Ren was normally composed in a refined manner, but today, he had truly lost control of his emotion when his dedication and meticulous work were all ruined.

He could not fathom the amount of time he wasted to convince Lei Zhen to come back to the mansion.

Yet one small incident had managed to cause the rift to crack even further.

As for the men, they didn't dare to idle any longer and quickly brought Cecile away from the living room.

Currently, the living room was no different than a time bomb, ready to explode at any given moment.

Once everyone was gone in the living room except for Lei Quan and Butler Gongshun Ren, Lei Quan sat back down on the couch exhaustively.

"This nephew of mine can truly make me lose my composure quite quickly." Lei Quan covered his eyes with his hand and muttered.

"Master Lei Quan, with all due respect, you were completely out of touch today. You should have never revealed the matter that you sabotaged his doctor's test when we both know his reason to become a doctor." Butler Gongshun Ren said calmly.

Out of everyone here that could talk to Lei Quan in such a manner was just him and Lei Zhen. Though there was another person, just that she is currently in a comatose state to be arguing with him.

"I know, but that nephew of mine was treading on my bottom line constantly." Lei Quan responded, seemingly trying to justify his action.

However, Butler Gongshun Ren shook his head and sighed in defeat.

What Lei Quan said was nothing but an excuse in his ears.

There was no way that Lei Quan was not able to withstand some provocation when he dealt with some of the worst people before and kept his calm composure. It was just that the opposing person today was someone he cared about too much, which resulted in such an outcome.

"I'll be heading out now since Young Master Lei Zhen would probably struggle to return home without any vehicle." Butler Gongshun Ren said, dismissing himself and at the same time, allowing Lei Quan to take this time to cool down.

Lei Quan nodded his head.

"Does that mean I won't be able to enjoy your Buddha Jumps Over The Wall today?" He then asked.

"Until the day Lei Zhen is here at the diner table sitting with us, you can forget about eating any of my specialties." Butler Gongshun Ren responded, leaving the living room to catch up to Lei Zhen.

As Butler Gongshun Ren left in a hurry, mainly because he knew Lei Zhen had no vehicle to go back to his rundown neighborhood, Lei Quan could only silently shake his head.

While Lei Quan sighed disappointedly, Butler Gongshun Ren managed to catch up to Lei Zhen, who was standing by the wall.

"Young Master Lei Zhen, thank heaven you're still here." Butler Gongshun Ren flashed a smile and greeted him.

"Well, what can I do when I don't have a way back except stand here in a daze." Lei Zhen said emotionlessly.

He could leave the mansion easily, but this place was quite isolated from the populated areas and it would take him at least hours to even get near the main street.

"Of course, let me bring you back then." Butler Gongshun Ren was relieved that Lei Zhen had no intention of questioning him regarding the bogus doctor's test.

"Not that car," Lei Zhen shook his head and said when he saw him walking to a limousine car.

"I have invited someone to go to an opening theater, so I need a decent car to pick her up." He added, letting Butler Gongshun Ren know that he got a date.

Although it wasn't a real date, it was still considered one when he said he was going to pick her up. Hence, it would have been bad if he was to taken her to the train station as a means of travel.

Meanwhile, Butler Gongshun Ren instantly flashed an understanding smile as he nodded his head.

"Very well, then we must also get you dressed up properly in that case." Butler Gongshun Ren said and went to the garage where most of their cars were stored.

Lei Zhen patiently followed behind him.

Sometime later, they arrived at the garage and numerous luxurious cars and vintage ones were displayed neatly.

"Which car do you prefer, Young Master Lei Zhen?"

"I don't want those fancy coloring or the vintage car that would attract attention. Just a decent car to pick up a famous doctor should do."

"I see, then how about this black version flying car. It's designed with the latest specs available in the industry and bulletproof windshields. In addition to that, it had automatic defensive activation as soon as there was harm incoming." Butler Gongshun Ren seemed to have transformed into a car salesman as he spent the next few minutes explaining the car's specifications to Lei Zhen.

Despite the long-winded explanation, Lei Zhen was paying attention to it. These were the safety procedures he needed to learn in case there were any unexpected situations, so he wasn't going to disrespect him and yawn like most people do in their college courses.

Time slowly passed by, and Lei Zhen decided to go in the car that Butler Gongshun Ren had recommended. It had the latest protection necessary and specifications. Plus, it was decent looking to not embarrass Doctor Samantha's status.

"Ok then, here's the car key but you're not allowed to leave yet." Butler Gongshun Ren readily handed him the key but prevented him from starting the car.

"I don't know who you have invited for the date, but you are definitely not dressing up like this." He added, glancing up and down while shaking his head, almost as if he was disapproving of Lei Zhen's attire.

And with that said, Butler Gongshun Ren dragged Lei Zhen to another room for a grand makeup.
