Chapter 198 What A Twist

Name:MMORPG: Crowd Control Author:Idczhen
The conversation between Peter Heisen and Charter was quite confusing for Lei Zhen to comprehend. He originally thought Charter wanted to come here to verify that the prisoner they captured was indeed Peter Heisen.

However, based on their conversation, Lei Zhen had an instinct that the two of them knew each other.

His suspicion was increased further when Peter Heisen looked like a mouse that had seen a cat, almost as if he was completely frightened by just the sight of Charter.

'Are they former comrades in arms?' Lei Zhen wondered silently.

It wasn't uncommon for former soldiers to turn bad after realizing they didn't get much in return for their services.

But Lei Zhen didn't dare to overestimate his intelligence to guess the relationships between the two. He was an outsider currently, so he quietly left the prison cell to let the two of them chat.

He didn't believe Charter would attempt to break Peter Heisen out of jail since the possibility of that was less than 1%.

Nevertheless, Lei Zhen did have Candice spy on them with the help of her ability to communicate with the wind.

One can never be too sure regarding safety.

Time slowly passed by, and Lei Zhen's suspicions were even higher when Charter took almost half an hour to converse with the supposedly wanted criminal.

"What's the relationship between Charter and the prisoner, Peter Heisen?" Lei Zhen decided to turn toward the two soldiers that were waiting patiently by the side and asked.

"Well, it's not really a secret in Athea, so I suppose I could tell you. Charter's last name is Heisen as well." One of the soldiers responded.

Although there was barely any context on it, just one simple clue was enough to clear his mind.

'No wonder why Peter Heisen was scared to death when seeing Charter's appearance. He's the little brother meeting the big brother after getting into massive trouble.' Lei Zhen exclaimed inwardly.

Realizing they had this kind of relationship, Lei Zhen was beginning to act more cautious toward Charter.

After all, at the end of the day, they are still related by blood, so it was hard to determine whether Charter would be impartial or not.

Sometime later, Charter finally returned to the ship deck with a solemn expression.

"Sorry that I took quite a while. I'm not sure if you hadn't noticed it yet, but Peter Heisen is my little brother. However, that doesn't exclude the fact that he was nearly a national traitor if it wasn't for the shipwreck he had experienced." Charter then said apologetically.

Lei Zhen nodded his head.

"Then what do you suggest to do, Charter Heisen." Lei Zhen said, outright calling his full name.

"I will notify the justice department to transport him over. Given my relationship with the prisoner is too closely related, I shall not partake in this activity."

"Understood, then I'll wait for you to return back with the justice department personnel."

Charter didn't say anything else and left with the other two soldiers.

Once their presence was gone, Lei Zhen turned toward Candice and asked about the result.

Candice shook her head and replied, "That Charter guy is lying when he mentioned that he was going to inform the justice department."

"And what about partaking in this activity?"

"Also a lie."

Hearing that from her, Lei Zhen nodded his head as his expression turned solemn.

"Everyone, listen up, we are to move the ship immediately and head toward the capital of Athea directly." He ordered loudly.

Howard didn't even bother asking why as he was the first one to rush toward the Steering Room and began starting up the ship.

As for the other crewmen, although surprised by the sudden order, they hurriedly got to work and lifted the anchor.

Meanwhile, Lei Zhen himself went toward the basement level to meet with Peter Heisen. And seeing Peter Heisen showing a contemptuous face, Lei Zhen knew he had made a big mistake.

"What a shame it is. I originally didn't plan on making a move and just trying to earn some merits. Unfortunately, your big brother had just sentenced you to death." Lei Zhen said sinisterly.

"W-What are you trying to do?" Peter Heisen backed up to a corner and seemed afraid of Lei Zhen's tone.

Alas, the act could not escape the ability of Candice who swiftly notified him that his fear was an act.

"Seems like Charter has given you quite a high-quality health potion." Lei Zhen chuckled softly.

There could only be one reason why Peter Heisen was not afraid of him currently. And it was because he had regained his strength and ability.

"Keke, big brother was right. You are indeed an overly cautious person. Although big brother is a man of the law, he is extremely soft when it comes to his remaining family member which is I." Peter Heisen laughed maniacally and unleashed his aura.

His aura was powerful enough to cause the steel bar of the prison cell to shake rapidly, almost as if it could break at any moment.

Meanwhile, Lei Zhen remained still as he flashed a pitiful gaze at Peter Heisen.

Since Peter Heisen had never seen him fight before because Lei Zhen was asleep at the time of his attempted escape, he had zero ideas of Lei Zhen's ability.

Without hesitation, Lei Zhen quickly used a quick cast slot from his item, Archmage of the Magi, and stunned Peter Heisen.

The stunned landed perfectly, but Lei Zhen dared not hesitate for a moment considering his stun could easily be broken through depending on the opponent's resistance.

Hence, he quickly fired Rupture and clamped Peter Heisen in place.

With the combined attack of them, Peter Heisen could only rely on his defenses to withstand the ongoing barrage of attacks.

"I admire your defense capacity, but I hope you don't mind me using this weapon that you tried to trade it off to the Barasack country." Lei Zhen smirked coldly, his hand pulling out a weapon.
