Chapter 152 Ehhhhhhhhhhhh

Name:MMORPG: Crowd Control Author:Idczhen
When Francis mentioned that everything was within his control, Kate didn't even get a chance to ask since Lei Zhen walked forward.

"Wait a damn minute," Lei Zhen interrupted.

"That doesn't even make sense since that would mean you knew all along your two sons were planning to rebel. Yet you did nothing and allowed that to happen. This is illogical." He added, feeling it was a big plot hole.

Upon being questioned by Lei Zhen, Francis could only smile bitterly as he looked up at the sky.

"Everything is fated and planned from the start," Francis said expressionlessly.

"I'm sure you have met with Priest Tauren already, so you should know about the prophecy. Back in my youthful day as king, the goddess prophesied to me that my two sons would betray me and only my daughter could inherit me. But my reluctance to give up on my two sons led to this current situation. In the end, they created their own demise due to greed."

After his explanation, not to mention Lei Zhen, even Kate was left aghast as she never knew her father was such a deep schemer.

For a prophecy, he kept this hidden from her and even allowed her two elder brothers to walk the path of no return when he could have stopped them.

Unable to accept her father being so ruthless, Kate turned around and started to run away.

Seeing her running away, Francis knew this day would come sooner or later.

"You understand my point of view, right?" He turned toward Lei Zhen and asked.

"Understanding and accepting are two different stories." Lei Zhen calmly replied.

"Although I didn't get played for a clown like Kate, I was still implicated because of you and Robert. Now, I felt like my achievements were nothing but a sham." He added, turning around to chase after Kate instead.

Everything he did seemed superficial and pointless now that he realized he was actually a chess piece, not a chess player.

It was like his every move was monitored and controlled.

Meanwhile, Francis placed his hand behind the back as he watched the two of them leave.

He knew what he did was out of line, but as the king, even he could not control things such as fate.

"Seems like it's time to have Robert personally take action. I doubt my dear daughter would bother cleansing those rotten souls now." Francis murmured in a bleak tone.

While Francis had a plan of his own, Lei Zhen successfully caught up to Kate.

pαndα,noνɐ1,сoМ "Can I be alone for a moment?" Kate asked, unwilling to let Lei Zhen witness her current self.

"I'll stand by here then." Lei Zhen replied, keeping a 6 feet distance from her.

This was his action of making sure she doesn't do anything stupid once he was out of sight.

Kate just received a shocking detail that whatever she experienced could have been prevented by her father but didn't, could possibly force her to do something out of her character.

'Sigh, I could almost no longer differentiate this world and the real world.' Lei Zhen thought to himself.

The human emotion aspect was exceptionally programmed and the NPC acted exactly as any normal human would.

Time slowly passed by, and Kate was just staring at the water fountain with a dazed look, seemingly contemplating something.

As for Lei Zhen, he was sitting by the bench, watching over her silently.

Though he was thinking a lot of things in his mind. The most important thing that kept bugging him was the fact that he was transported to Lux Forest since his character creation.

At first, he believed it to be the power outage in his area, but the more he thought about it, things didn't seem to be that simple.

'Just what is the reason for that bug transportation?' Lei Zhen wondered silently, unable to find any logical solution.

After racking every bit of his brain cells, Lei Zhen came to one conclusion.

'Screw it, so what if it's planned or not. I'll just play however I want from now on.' He swore inwardly.

Why should he force himself to overthink in a game?

It's a game for fuck sake.

How do you play?

No one would give a damn about it.

'Once this event is over, I can finally leave Yors Castle for a bigger world.' Lei Zhen made up his mind.

As for Kate, she's going to have to learn everything else by herself. He could not be a nanny for her every single day. That's just plain impossible.

Time slowly passed by, and Lei Zhen finally decided to walk toward Kate.

He had given her enough time to cool down, so it was time for him to have a proper conversation with her.

"Kate, I know you're probably still upset about King Francis' method, but as a king, he was doing it for the bigger picture. He didn't let his personal feelings affect his judgment and the well-being of the citizens." Lei Zhen said, hoping that she could understand it from Francis' point of view.

However, to Lei Zhen's surprise, Kate turned around and chuckled softly.

"I know about that already." She said calmly.

And she continued, "I'm not even brooding over that matter after having some time to think about it."

Lei Zhen raised an eyebrow in confusion.

"If that's the case, then why did you still stare at the water fountain with a dazed look?" He asked.

Upon that question, Kate smiled bitterly at him.

"Isn't it because of you?" She said sarcastically. "You suddenly drop a bombshell at me about you leaving without any heads up. How am I supposed to handle that along with my father's scheme at the same time?"

Lei Zhen twitched his mouth, clearly not expecting that she was brooding over his leave announcement.

"Take off your mask." Kate suddenly asked.

Although confused by the question, Lei Zhen nodded his head and took off his mask.

And before he could comprehend why he needed to take off the mask, Kate lunged herself forward toward him and pecked him on the lips.

'Ehhhhhhhhhhhh?'
