Chapter 112 Elite Lizardark, Hazerak

Name:MMORPG: Crowd Control Author:Idczhen
Tie Longkun's face was completely aghast as he watched his health point depleted to zero and had no chance to comprehend the situation.

All he knew was that he was dead and the next login time was 24 hours, effectively shutting him off from Magnolia for a full day in the real world.

Meanwhile, the Elite Lizardark was the most astonished one as he glanced at the two people suspiciously.

Although he didn't know why they helped him, he didn't dare to lower his guard after what had occurred to him and his clan.

"Who are you two and why did you kill that swordsman?" The Elite Lizardark asked coldly.

"Because we have a grudge against him too, and seeing you were going to fight him, we decided to help you out." Lei Zhen stepped forward and gave the excuse he had prepared beforehand.

Even though it was kind of immoral for him to betray Tie Longkun to gain an acquaintance with the Lizardark folks, it was a necessary betrayal.

Tie Longkun had already killed too many of their folks, so no matter what they wanted to say or explain, the Lizardark would not listen.

Therefore, by killing Tie Longkun in front of the Elite Lizardark, they have proven their innocence and that they have nothing to do with him.

Not to mention, Tie Longkun could still revive in Yors Castle so it wasn't like it was a true betrayal as long as they give him a proper explanation for their action and offer some compensation in return.

Meanwhile, the Elite Lizardark became hesitant, clearly unable to discern whether Lei Zhen's words are true or false.

Though one fact remained, those two indeed assisted him in killing the fearsome swordsman.

"The two of you shall stay right there if you really meant no harm. I would have to notify my Chief of this situation." The Elite Lizardark said.

To this, Lei Zhen and Griselda gladly agreed to his request and stayed put. Earning their trust right now was the priority, so they wouldn't deny such a simple request.

Seeing that the two had no intention of moving, the Elite Lizardark hurriedly turned around and retreated, clearly to their hideout to notify the chief.

Once the Elite Lizardark was gone, Griselda sighed softly, "We are really no good beings. I bet Tie Longkun must be extremely irritated right now."

"He can only blame himself for the bad luck. Besides, you're going to give him 100 silver as compensation. I believe that is enough to pacify a simple man like him." Lei Zhen said calmly, almost as if betraying someone wasn't a big deal.

"You are surprisingly calm after doing such a vicious act."

"Human nature. That's just how the world is. So long as if the profit is right, betrayal can happen at any time and anywhere."

"Seems like you have a dark past as well."

Lei Zhen shrugged his shoulders in response. If Griselda could track his apartment with just a phone contact, then he was sure she had his past checked up as well.

And given that his past wasn't really much of a secret, it was obvious she knew what had happened to him but merely kept silent.

Some things are better to be kept in mind and not say it aloud. Otherwise, it would harm the cooperative relationship they currently have.

Time slowly passed by, and the Elite Lizardark soon returned with a solemn expression.

"The Chief has agreed to meet with you, but no weapons are allowed." The Elite Lizardark stated.

Lei Zhen nodded his head readily since he didn't have any weapons equipped from the beginning. He still had his Robe of the Archmagi 'saved spell slot' available so a weapon wasn't really needed unless the situation were dire.

As for Griselda, she merely stored her weapon in her inventory and raised both her hands up, indicating she was unarmed now.

The Elite Lizardark was a bit confused as to where the weapon disappeared but didn't question much. So long as they are not holding any weapons, it was fine for him.

"Follow me," The Elite Lizardark said, turning around and beginning to walk forward.

Lei Zhen and Griselda then followed its footstep, treading through many narrow passages in the meantime.

The passages weren't difficult for the Elite Lizardark given their clawed feet, but it was somewhat difficult for the two of them.

In fact, Griselda nearly tripped numerous times and had to place her hand on Lei Zhen's shoulder as support.

"Careful, aren't you a veteran player?" Lei Zhen asked, thinking that she does not act like her level and the praise she received from the public.

"Do I look like the type to tread through this treacherous environment? I'm a woman and women always prefer clean and nice things. Why would I bother with entering a swamp in the first place if not for the mission?"

"..."

Unwilling to speak further, Lei Zhen decided to just keep following the Elite Lizardark's footsteps while having an extra weight to carry on his shoulder.

At the same time, he would stop believing whatever these celebrities of Magnolia said on television.

99 out of 100 of the celebrities are all false and riddled with lies to deceive viewers for ratings.

Sometime later, they finally arrived at a cave-like entrance with numerous Lizardark standing guard with angry expressions, clearly displeased by their appearance.

"Please forgive my clan's folk behavior. You will understand why they reacted in such a way when you meet with the Chief." The Elite Lizardark said.

"It's fine, we're strangers after all, so it's a given they are cautious toward us." Lei Zhen replied.

"You people must be the one Hazerak mentioned, right?"

The Elite Lizardark, called Hazerak, nodded its head and introduced Lei Zhen and Griselda.

"Yes Chief, these two are the slayers of the swordsmen that have been massacring our clan folk."
