Chapter 59 Predicament

Name:MMORPG: Crowd Control Author:Idczhen
As the Stun was cast, the closest hounds thought it was clever to be able to dodge it again.

Unfortunately for him though, this time, the Stun was not cast directly at him, but more toward the right side.

And the hounds were hit by the Stun. From afar, it looked like the hounds were jumping toward the Stun itself, almost like a dog jumping up for a frisbee.

The scene was pretty hilarious, but Lei Zhen kept his cool and hurriedly used this time to swing his sword.

The [Stun] was a saved slot from the effect of Robe of the Archmagi, so he didn't dare to idle around.

His mana recovery rate was ridiculously slow and Lei Zhen made a mental note in mind to fix this problem.

With the hounds being stunned, Lei Zhen quickly hacked it to pieces and was able to slay it time.

However, during the time he was hacking on the hounds, the second hound arrived and managed to pounce itself toward Lei Zhen.

Lei Zhen was pinned on the ground and the hounds howled angrily at him. It was clear that Lei Zhen killing his companion had enraged it.

His eardrum nearly burst open from the loud howling and he received damage just from its razor-sharp claws alone.

Hoping to use his staff to cast, the hound glinted its eyes and used its paw to slam Lei Zhen's hand, prompting him to drop the staff.

This time, Lei Zhen didn't even need the system prompt to tell him that he had received a ton of damage.

His health points were constantly decreasing, and with his body pinned down, he was unable to move an inch.

ραпdα nᴏνa| сom And even whenever he tried to make an attempt, the hounds would notice it and stop his attempt.

It was clear that the hound was planning on giving Lei Zhen a slow and painful death to avenge his companion.

'Damn it, our strength difference is too much.' He clenched his fist in disappointment. Being pinned down and unable to do anything was humiliating.

Meanwhile, his health points continued to decrease from 654 to 321.

His chest was bleeding due to the claws and he was slowly losing strength.

Their level difference was simply too much, it was a 53-level margin.

Honestly, Lei Zhen was already proud of himself for even being able to defeat one of them. It was just a bit regretful of him for not being able to rescue Kate.

Ding!

[Your health points have fallen lower than 10 percent]

Seeing the notification, Lei Zhen slowly closed his eyelids to admit his fate.

And just when he thought everything was over, the hound that was pinning him down was blasted away.

"What the-" Lei Zhen held a look of confusion.

He knew Kate was overly fatigued, so it could not be her that had rescued him.

So who was the one that made a strike?

"Hmph, I was wondering what was taking my protector so long to return back. But it looks like my protector's skill was so-so and that I was scammed of my 3 copper coins."

A familiar voice echoed in his ears, and a look of astonishment appeared on Lei Zhen's face.

"C-Chris?"

He called out and slowly turned his head, only to see Chris standing proudly near a tree branch. His hand was still flashing some lightning.

"Heh, if I was just a second later, then you would have become food for that dumb dog," Chris smirked and jumped down from the tree branch.

His footstep then paused when he noticed a woman laying on some clothes near the corner. Soon, his lips curled upward as he looked at Lei Zhen teasing.

"Tsk tsk tsk, Lei Zhen, you are unbelievable. Trying to play the hero to save a beauty, but was saved instead. Are you not ashamed of yourself?" Chris shook his head and laughed heartily.

"Are you really pouring salt on a man's wounds?" Lei Zhen clicked his tongue in annoyance.

Although Chris's words were far from the truth, he was unable to explain the current circumstances in a few words.

Not to mention, it was a fact that his life was saved by Chris, so arguing with him now would make him look ungrateful.

And he knew Chris was the type to go further in his tease if he tried to argue back.

Despite that, Lei Zhen was still grateful for Chris' timely rescue. He really thought he was a goner again this time, and he wouldn't know where he would be teleported to.

"Can you stand?" Chris stood next to Lei Zhen and asked calmly.

"The hound is dead?" Lei Zhen was bewildered that a single strike from Chris was able to kill it.

"Just a damn dog. How hard is it to kill it?" Chris shrugged his shoulders, not planning on explaining things further.

Lei Zhen nodded his head in understanding and held his hand to receive support to get up.

His body was covered in blood and his face was bruised. He may have survived this fight, but he knew he had lost the battle.

Checking his health points, Lei Zhen saw the number 23.

"Thanks for the help," Lei Zhen said sincerely.

Chris didn't bother to reply and merely handed over a red-looking potion.

It was a Superior Healing Potion, a rare item. The one he gave Kate to drink was just Greater Healing Potion which was uncommon, so the one Chris gave was a rarity higher.

Items are separated into common, uncommon, rare, epic, legendary, and unique.

Without any hesitation, Lei Zhen drank the Superior Healing Potion before walking toward Kate.

"Do you have more of these healing potions?" He turned around and asked him.

"..."

Chris was rendered speechless by his shamelessness. He was already being charitable enough to give him a Superior Healing Potion yet Lei Zhen wanted more.

"Do you take me as some form of a charity organization?" Chris cursed angrily. A rare potion cost at least 1-3 gold coins and it pained his heart to waste such a precious potion on him.

"You already gave me a rare healing potion, so what's the matter with adding another one?" Lei Zhen shrugged his shoulders.

"Besides, this woman doesn't seem to come from an ordinary background. So if you help her this time, then you can probably gain a lot more in the future."

"Tch, what can a woman like her be from-"

Suddenly, Chris paused his words when he finally got a clear glance at Kate.

His facial expression quickly turned pale as he looked at Lei Zhen in disbelief.

"H-H-How did you encounter her?" His speech was fumbling.

"Huh? She was being targeted by a mysterious man and I intervened to help." Lei Zhen replied, not bothering to give many details.

"Do you even know what her identity is?" Chris turned a deaf ear to Lei Zhen and continued his monologue.

"That woman is someone we can never encounter in our life. She's the princess of Yors Castle, the only daughter of the current King, Francis Norton."
