Come back, all right?

Jian Xingfeng felt his entire body turning cold, and didn't dare to say anything else. He kept his head down, and bent his body while trembling.

He turned around, and without saying a word, he pulled Jian Ning away from the place.

After the two of them got on the carriage, they looked at each other. Shang Jin pulled her hand to get closer and caressed her hair.

"Jian Xingfeng can't die so quickly. There's still a great use in keeping him."

Jian Ning nodded obediently, smiled gently at Shang Jin, and then said: "I still need to thank you."

He closed his eyes in pleasure and dozed off on his back.

She did not ask where she was going, and quietly looked out the window at the scenery, allowing Shang Jin to pull her.

Unknowingly, the two of them had already reached the top of the mountain. Seeing that Shang Jin was really asleep, Jian Ning alighted from the car softly.

With winter right before his eyes, the mountain's climate was slightly colder than the weather below. Jian Ning unconsciously pulled tightly onto her clothes, and looked at the scenery below.

The moment Shang Jin woke up, he saw Jian Ning standing at the edge of the cliff.

"It's so dangerous outside, why are you running?"

Although it was a reprimand, it didn't contain any anger, it was just pure worry for her.

But just as he finished speaking, he touched her cold little hand and couldn't help but reprimand her. He even carefully took off his coat and put it on her.

"It's such a cold day. I don't know if I'm hiding in the car or not, but I've never seen someone as stupid as you."

Jian Ning did not speak, and only quietly enjoyed this rare moment of consideration with a smile on her face the entire time.

"Shang Jin, can you come back?"

Just as he was about to let go, Jian Ning suddenly grabbed him forcefully, looking pitifully at him, begging him to come back.

Being suddenly persuaded to stay, Shang Jin stood straight and stared straight at Jian Ning.

After a long time, he said hoarsely, "Aren't you afraid that I'll treat you the way I did before?"

Jian Ning pursed her lips and shook her head with all her might, while hugging onto his arm, unwilling to let go. She continued: "Without you here, I'm afraid."

He was afraid that someone would barge in, afraid that he wouldn't be able to see them even if he died, even more afraid that he would be mysteriously be killed one day.

did not dare to say those words out loud, as she was afraid that Shang Jin would instantly kill her here.

Shang Jin remained silent for a while, then took out his phone and called Uncle Liu.

"Get someone to clean up my room and come back in the evening."

After giving a short explanation, he gave the phone to Jian Ning, "If there's anything else you're worried about, just call Uncle Liu."

She smiled and shook her head, then tiptoed and hugged his neck, burying herself in his chest. She bashfully said, "As long as you come back, nothing else is important."

Now, only Jian Ning knew what she wanted.

Shang Jin hugged her back, placed his chin on top of her head, rubbed it, and laughed: "Why do I feel like you're just a child that hasn't grown up yet."

"You've given me a sense of security. What does it matter if I grow up or not?"

She slowly closed her eyes and continued to numb and hypnotize herself: You really want Shang Jin to come back, to rely on him, and let him accompany you.

In a place where she couldn't see, Shang Jin lowered his head to size her up. His gaze was deep, making others not know what he was doing.

Only after the two of them had hugged in the cold wind for a long time did Shang Jin slowly let go of Jian Ning.

"This place is?" She pointed at the path in front of her, puzzled.

Shang Jin looked at the endless road and rubbed the back of her head, "He's an old friend."

Since he didn't want to say it, Jian Ning didn't ask and obediently followed him.

Just as he walked to the door, Jian Ning smelled a fragrant scent of flowers, roses that did not belong to this season.

She raised her head and looked at him curiously before looking at the pitch-black inner room. Suddenly, she felt a chill run down her spine.

"Don't worry, I'm here." Shang Jin lowered his head and whispered into her ear, obviously not taking this seriously.

He pulled her inside and turned on the lights familiarly.

With the lights shining, Jian Ning felt like she was in a paradise. Looking at the situation, her mouth gaped open for a long time.

Small bridges and flowing water were nothing. Most importantly, the garden was full of flowers. There were all sorts of flowers, and most of them should not have appeared during this season.

"Child, you didn't even say anything when you came up."

While she was still astonished, she heard a very old voice. However, it did not sound weak. It was a very robust old man.

Shang Jin didn't react at all. The expression on his face was faint, and his gaze was fixated on Jian Ning's body the entire time.

Hearing footsteps, Jian Ning immediately went back to Shang Jin's side and hid behind him.

From the dark corridor, a figure walked out. He had a head of white hair and was dressed in Tang suit. From afar, he looked like a sage.

"He really knows how to pretend!" She mumbled softly.

Normally, what he hated the most were some old men dressed like this.

The old man rolled his eyes at her and looked at Shang Jin with great displeasure, "Who is this?

Shang Jin pulled Jian Ning and pushed her to the front, "The person you want."

Jian Ning tilted her head and looked at Shang Jin, while the old man looked back at him.

What do you mean?

That's it?

Both of their eyes expressed their dissatisfaction, but Shang Jin pretended not to see anything and continued to explain: "Jian Ning is Shang Yue's chief designer, she suits your requirements very well."

The old man arrogantly snorted. Raising his chin, he placed his hands behind his back and said, "How could this little girl know what I'm most suited for?"

"I can't." Jian Ning immediately rejected her offer and pulled Shang Jin's arm and whispered.

But it was still Shang Jin who forcefully pushed her out, "She's not in a good condition right now, help her recuperate."

"You brat, I can't just help heal an outsider's body." He turned away, vehemently against it.

"Then think of her as a member of my Shang family."

The moment he said that, the old man immediately turned around, and looked over Jian Ning from head to toe, then reluctantly nodded his head.

"Then come in first."

Shang Jin brought the still foggy Jian Ning in, went around the long corridor, and walked towards the backyard.

Everything that he saw made Jian Ning feel like his eyes were not there enough, he never thought that there was actually such a paradise on earth in Hong Kong.

The antiquated courtyard had all sorts of inscriptions on it, every part of it was exquisite to the point that Jian Ning couldn't even keep her eyes straight.

"How strange!" The old man lowered his head and muttered. He looked down on Jian Ning's current state, but was very happy with her performance.

He pulled Shang Jin to the side and sat down. Then, he took a sip of the tea and closed his eyes to enjoy it.
