Chapter 27 Training Hall[2]

Name:Manaless Mage Author:Gladstone_
The interior was just as Harry remembered it to be.

The hall extended to the far end of the ground floor, at the end of the hall was a brown counter. A female receptionist could be seen on the counter, she was there to act as a form of guidance for newcomers and those who have any query.

The ceiling was white and the ground was designed with yellow and blue tile that blended well with each other.

At the side of the hall, different windows and doors leading to different rooms could be seen.

Harry started walking towards the end of the hall. As he walked, he turned his head towards the doors and windows at the side of the hall.

Through the windows, he could see a few students(normal/regular students), some were skipping and some were doing other forms of exercise. There were even a few playing video games. His gazes met that of a few students, they stared at him weirdly for a few seconds before finally turning their heads away.

Harry wasn't too surprised by this. Although the building was said to be for 'training', there were still other recreational activities in the hall.

The ground floor was used for activities like this, since not all students were elementalists or combat mages.

The first to the fourth floor was used for elementalists and combat mages training and also duels. The fifth floor was used only for academy events, compared to the other floors, it was very spacious.

Students could only step on the fifth floor when there was an event going on in the academy. The yearly ranking competition also took place on the fifth floor.

The ground floor appeared to be quite scanty, this was because students rarely came to this floor. Most student found the ground floor boring, since it was only filled with normal mundane stuffs, they preferred to go to the other floors where Elementalists and combat mages trained.

Besides, the ordinary people in the academy were only few, about seventy percent of the students were Elementalists, about twenty percent were ordinary human beings while the remaining ten percent were combat mages.

Harry kept walking forward till he reached the end of the hall. He turned towards the corridor at the right corner of the hall, he walked through it before arriving at the stairs.

Though there was an elevator in the training hall, it only led to the fifth floor. Students couldn't use it as it was mostly locked, the only time it was unlocked was when there was a need to use the fifth floor—during important events or competitions.

The stairs stopped at the fourth floor, the academy made sure to cut all access to the fifth floor from the students. The training hall didn't have as much floors as the academy itself so using the stairs wasn't too stressful.

Harry didn't find this too stressful as he was already used to using the stairs in the academy. Besides, he was only going to the first floor.

His plan was to find something 'liftable' and then he would leave the building. He was only here to complete his quests.

If it were the past him, he would have been thrilled at the thought of watching the elementalists test out their spells and duel with each other but that thought didn't seem to excite him anymore.

After climbing for a few seconds, he finally reached the first floor.

"Hyah!!"

"Huah!"

"Hyah!"

"Hyaaah!!"

It was as if he had entered a different place entirely. Compared to the ground floor, the first floor was bustling with activity. Some students loitered around the hall.

There were slight differences between this floor and the ground floor. The windows and doors at the side of the hallway were fewer.

These windows were different as Harry couldn't see through them. The only thing he could make out was the sounds coming from the rooms at the sides of the hallway.

The moment Harry stepped into the hall, all the students attention turned towards him. Some of them hissed when they noticed who stepped in and simply turned their head away while the rest kept staring at him with weird expressions.

Harry wasn't surprised by this, since the incident with Han was still quite recent, it was only natural his presence drew some attention.

He ignored their gazes and continued walking down the hallway. As he continued in his steps, he could still feel the eyes of some of the students on him.

After walking for a few minutes, Harry finally arrived at the end of the hall. By his left was a corridor that led to the stairs, however, he ignored it as he had no intention of climbing to the second floor. He turned to the right where different weight could be seen.

There were black-coloured steel weight lifting plates neatly arranged on the racks. Some parts of the racks were empty which meant that the equipments were currently in use by other students(combat mages).

There were also weight lifting rods by the side, some of the rods had plates on both ends.

Those were equipments used frequently by combat mages, since combat mages were mainly focused on strength and body enhancement, they often perform strenuous exercise that put strains on their muscles.

'At least, even if I lift the 'lightest' one, it would be enough to complete the quest.' Harry thought as he moved towards the weights.

However, just as he was about to touch one of the rods, he felt a presence behind him.

"What are you doing here?" He heard the person say.

Harry's brows furrowed slightly as he paused in his tracks. He slowly turned around and stared at the student that just spoke.

It was a boy sporting purple hair and deep black eyes. He hatefully glared at Harry as he said, "What is… trash doing here?"

'Justin? Hah… Although I expected this, it's still very annoying to witness it actually happen.' Harry frowned. He wasn't here to cause or look for trouble but it seemed trouble always found its way to him in the academy.

When the purple haired boy saw that Harry wasn't answering his question, his face squeezed. "Can't you hear what I'm saying?"

"All students are allowed in this hall… you're free to leave if you're not comfortable." Harry said nonchalantly. All he wanted was to complete his quest and leave the hall, not indulge in some useless banter.

Meanwhile, the purple haired student's expression turned dark as he heard Harry's words, it felt like he was been mocked. 'Do you really think… one lucky day means you get to talk and act anyhow?' He said inwardly.
