Chapter 102 How To Get Family Approval 101

As Vincent sat in Sophia's living room, surrounded by her family, he couldn't help but feel their gazed. They were all staring at him like he was a piece of prime steak at a vegan convention. And who could blame them? With his chiseled jaw and piercing eyes, he looked like he could have just stepped off a Vouge magazine cover.

Sophia's mother was the first to break the awkward silence.

"So, how did you two meet?" she asked, her eyes gleaming with curiosity.

Vincent smiled, remembering the day he had saved Sophia's life.

"I saved her from a mugger, and we've been inseparable ever since," he said, his voice oozing with charm. However, what he didn't reveal was that his heroic act was actually just an unexpected consequence of his search for human flesh at the time. Despite this fact, he still viewed his encounter with Sophia as a fateful encounter that brought them together.

Sophia's face flushed with a deep crimson hue, and she nervously fidgeted with her fingers, her gaze fixed intently on the ground. She felt a strange mix of emotions - a heady combination of embarrassment, gratitude, and overwhelming joy. It was as if Vincent's story had transformed her into a real-life princess, straight out of a fantastical novel.

But the atmosphere turned sour when her big brother chimed in.

"I think you're moving too fast, buddy. You're a rich guy, and I bet you have a ton of side chicks," he said, his eyes narrowed suspiciously.

He was aware that men like Vincent, who were wealthy and attractive, often had a reputation for being playboys. While he was happy that his sister had found a wealthy man, he feared that it would be all for naught if she was just being used.

He couldn't shake off the feeling of unease, knowing that his sister had been swept off her feet by Vincent's charm and wealth. He hoped that it wasn't just a fleeting infatuation, but a genuine connection that could stand the test of time.

Vincent paused for a moment, feeling unfairly judged. He opened his mouth to defend himself, but before he could say anything, Sophia's brother exploded.

"I knew it! You're a womanizer! I bet you have dozens of women at your mansion somewhere !" he yelled, his face turning red with anger.

Vincent was taken aback. He had expected some resistance, but this was a whole other level.

He didn't deny it, though. Instead, he stayed quiet, feeling guilty about his lustful tendencies. The word "womanizer" seemed like a serious understatement to him, but he knew that trying to explain himself would only make things worse.

"'I'm guilty as charged " He sighed to himself.

He sat in the living room, feeling the tension in the air . He could practically hear the gears turning in Sophia's family members' heads as they tried to figure him out. They were now more curious about whether it was really true that he had a number of girls by his side.

But just as he was about to drown in the awkwardness, Sophia's little sister, Stacey, swooped in to save the day.

"Can we have cake now?" she asked, blissfully ignorant of the drama unfolding around her.

"Of course, sweetheart," Sophia's mother quickly chimed in, sensing an opportunity to diffuse the tension. She didn't want to come across as a gold-digger mother who was only interested in her daughter's partner's wealth so she remained neutral all this time.

"Good work, Stacy " he winked at her after he let out a sighed of relief and put the cake on the table.

The box alone was a work of art, made of high-quality materials with a tag that read "Elegante" The family members mused, assuming it was a rare and expensive treat.Well, at this point, anything he serves or gives will look expensive. He could buy an ordinary bread from an unknown local bakeshop, and it would still look like a rare delicacy in his hands.

And as expected, their assumptions were quickly proven as they opened the box to reveal a stunningly beautiful cake in full display. It was a work of art in its own right, with intricate designs and an array of colors that caught everyone's eye. The family members were shocked and impressed by the level of detail and craftsmanship that had gone into creating such a masterpiece. This cake must had cost thousands of dollars .

As they savored each delicious bite of it, Vincent couldn't help but smile, pleased with by their surprised reactions. It was a small gesture, but one that brought joy and excitement to the entire family.

After their delicious snacks, The conversation turned back to him, and he realized he had almost forgotten something important.

"Oh, I almost forgot!" he exclaimed, beckoning his assistants over. He whispered something in their ears before they walked outside to retrieve something.

The assistant came over with a plethora of gift bags, each one displaying a high-end brand name like Prada, Gucci, and Louis Vuitton. And that was just the beginning. Vincent had gone all out, getting them gifts they could only dream of. There was a PlayStation 5 Pro VIP edition, XBOX X Limited Edition , an Alienware gaming laptop, and even toys from Harrods London.

They were left utterly stunned, their eyes widening in disbelief at the sight of the lavish gifts before them. Even Sophia's brother, who had previously been suspicious of Vincent, found himself suddenly softened by the sight of the PlayStation 5 Pro and the newest AAA games available, along with dozens of PS5 and XBOX X game passes and virtual currency cards. It was abundantly clear that his brother-in-law was filthy rich.

"Thank you, Big Brother Vincent," he said, his voice laced with a hint of awe.

Feeling grateful for the gifts, Sophia's brother couldn't help but express his admiration for Vincent.

"I don't care if you have many women in your life, you're handsome, rich, and incredibly kind, so it's only natural that you attract a lot of hot girls," he grinned, looking like a pet dog fully tamed by Vincent's generosity.

Vincent couldn't help but chuckle at his reactions. He had done his homework, asking Sophia about her family members' likes and dislikes, and he knew he had hit the mark. In that moment, he felt like he had gained their trust and respect, and that was worth more than any expensive gift.

"Who says money can't buy happiness?" he thought to himself. In that moment, he felt like he had just proven that 'saying' wrong. Money might not be able to buy happiness, but it sure could buy a lot of goodwill and appreciation.

As the family members continued to examine their gifts, Vincent observed their reactions with a sense of satisfaction. They were clearly delighted with the lavish Gucci bags and designer Prada clothing that he had selected for them. Though he was aware that they were quite materialistic, he didn't judge them for it. It was just their way of enjoying life, and he was happy to provide them with some luxury.

Despite their average status, Sophia's family appreciated the finer things in life and Vincent respected that. He didn't see anything wrong with enjoying the fruits of one's labor, especially if it brought joy and happiness to others. In their case , their fruit of labor was Sophia, they should thank her for being attractive and remaining pure.

Evangeline's phone pinged multiple times with notifications of credit purchases. She rarely bothered checking her balance, considering the stupidly huge amount of money at her disposal. But this time, her curiosity was piqued. She knew it was Vincent, and she couldn't help but giggle as she read through the purchase history like it was a riveting novel.

"Looks like my big brother is on a shopping spree," she mused with a smile. Memories of her brother past exploits came flooding back. She remembered how he would shower his various lovers with lavish gifts, using Elizabeth's money, of course.

There was the time he gifted a normal human villager with a crown made of pure gold and diamonds simply because she was a virgin. And then there was that one time he helped a bullied princess take over a country just because she was beautiful. Of course, Elizabeth was forced to send an army of vampires to assist him.

Evangeline sighed, a hint of a smile still playing on her lips.

"My sister always spoiled him, and it seems that his habits haven't changed," she muttered to herself. "But who am I to judge my sister? I love spoiling him too." She lifted up her tablet and continued browsing, content in the knowledge that Vincent was still his old, extravagant self.
