Chapter 72 Grand Party

The grand hall was nothing short of spectacular, with glittering chandeliers hanging from the high ceiling, casting a warm, golden glow over the space.

The walls were adorned with red patterns depicting scenes of a beautiful young woman with white hair and red eyes. And the floors were made of polished marble, reflecting the light from the chandeliers and creating a dazzling effect.

At the far end of the hall, a grand stage had been set up, complete with a bandstand and dance floor. The musicians were already playing a lively tune, their instruments filling the room with music and adding to the festive atmosphere.

In front of the stage, the tables were draped in crisp white linens and adorned with delicate floral arrangements in shades of red and lavender, adding a touch of elegance to the already luxurious setting. Waiters and waitresses moved gracefully among the guests, serving glasses of champagne and trays of expensive looking food.

As the guests arrived, they added to the opulent atmosphere, dressed in their finest attire and ready to celebrate Evangeline's birthday in style. The grand hall was a testament to the lavishness of the occasion, and all who entered could feel the excitement in the air.

Looking closely , most of the guests were stunningly beautiful, as they were Evangeline's handpicked adopted children. She has been very picky in choosing her family members so all of them were very attractive.

Throughout her long life, she had always longed for a large family, and this was her way of fulfilling that dream.

"Did you receive Mother Evangeline's orders?" asked a handsome man with brown hair and black eyes.

"Yes, She instructed us not to reveal our true nature as vampires tonight. We need to act like normal humans, and anyone who messes up will be killed on the spot." Replied by a beautiful blonde woman.

"That's a very weird order." The man replied with a puzzled look.

"Let's just follow the rules." another woman chimed in.

The hall was abuzz with gossip as they eagerly awaited Evangeline's arrival.

After a few minutes , the lady of the evening finally appeared on the second floor. She was still seated in her wheelchair, but this time a striking young man was pushing her. His presence was magnetic, and the ladies in the room couldn't help but feel a strong attraction to him.

As the group of women below the stairs caught sight of him pushing Evangeline's wheelchair, a hush fell over them. They couldn't help but notice his tall, chiseled frame and handsome features, which exuded a raw power that was hard to ignore.

"Who is that man?" whispered a petite brunette with hazel eyes. "He looks delicious."

"I don't know, but he's got a very strong sex appeal, doesn't he?" replied by a tall redhead with a lustful smile.

The women below the stairs continued to gossip about the young man, remarking on his undeniable allure and speculating about his background. But he remained stoic, as if he was oblivious to their attention.

The men on the other hand were divided . Whispers and murmurs rose from them as they gathered.

"Who is that young man pushing Mother Evangeline?" one of them muttered.

"He is not a vampire for sure," another replied. They were able to tell, because of his vigorous life force.

"A human?" the first man scoffed. "What could she possibly see in him?"

"He's young, handsome, and charming," a third chimed in. "You can't deny that he's captivating."

"Mother Evangeline is just using him as a play toy." the first man sneered.

As the men continued to gossip, Fir kept his cool and remained silent, watching the scene unfold. He knew that jealousy and envy could be dangerous emotions, especially when it came to rich people.

He gently pushed Evangeline's wheelchair towards the stage of the grand hallway, where the elegant red chair reserved for her was waiting, glimmering under the chandeliers like a throne for a queen .

It was carefully positioned so that everyone could see her, knowing that she was the centerpiece of the celebration. The guests turned their heads towards her, their eyes filled with admiration and respect.

"This girl seems like an important person. I can't mess this up " He couldn't help but feel a sense of responsibility as he pushed her. This little girl had been the one providing him with a luxurious life in this mansion, but he couldn't remember her at all. He wondered how he ended up in this situation, as he struggled to piece together his forgotten past.

"Lift me up," Evangeline raised her hands like an adorable little girl.

"Alright " Fir nodded.

As Evangeline was lifted from her wheelchair, her delicate features seemed to glow with delight. The guests watched with complicated emotions as Fir's arms cradled her petite frame with ease, as if she weighed nothing at all. It was clear to see that the two shared a special bond, one that was deeper than the surface level of their interactions.

As he gently placed her in the plush red chair, Evangeline's gaze lingered on him, filled with affection and longing. The atmosphere in the room was filled with curiosity and intrigue, as everyone wondered about the nature of their relationship.

"What beautiful eyes " He muttered to himself as his mind was racing with questions. But he couldn't help feeling a sense of comfort in the way Evangeline looked at him. Despite not being able to remember his past, he knew deep down that he was exactly where he needed to be.

Evangeline sat before her guests, a small celebration to mark a milestone. Her gaze swept over the crowd, taking in the familiar faces of those who had taken time from their own busy lives to attend.

"I appreciate your effort," she began, her voice clear and firm. "I know each of you has your own affairs to tend to, and yet you still came here tonight. For that, I am truly grateful."

She paused, gathering her thoughts. In a different time and place, she might have filled the air with words, spun a tale to captivate her audience. But tonight, she simply wished to enjoy the company of someone special.

"Normally, I would talk a lot during this type of occasion, but for now, let's just enjoy the night."

As her words echoed through the room, she was met with a resounding applause. And with that, the party began in earnest.
