Chapter 54 Awakening

Denise transformed into a swarm of flies and chased after her sister, who was being dragged through some kind of portal. The descent seemed to go on forever until they finally emerged in a wide, spacious room filled with corpses.

Denise quickly stabilized her footing and caught her sister , her face remaining calm despite the chaos surrounding them.

Debbie, on the other hand, felt a sense of dread wash over her. This was the first time she had ever experienced something like this. Was this the life her big sister had to live through? She had always been mean to her big sister, but now she realized that Denise had only been trying to protect her.

She noticed Debbie's expression of guilt and quickly comforted her with soothing words.

"Don't worry. I won't let anyone harm you," she said confidently, her voice reassuring and filled with determination.

Denise remained calm. She was holding back her full power, so she still had some trump cards up her sleeve. The problem was the house itself.

"This is the core of her domain," Denise scanned the enormous room.

"Domain?" Debbie asked, unfamiliar with the term.

"You don't need to know about it. But having a domain means she's close to reaching S-Rank," Denise replied.

"S-Rank?" Debbie shuddered. She knew about the rankings of the supernatural world so she was aware of how difficult it is to be considered an S-Rank.

Domains were different from territories like the dryad's. A domain was essentially another world that separated itself from reality. It was not something that could be easily created, as it required an immense amount of energy and skill to accomplish.

"It's weird.I know this place is a domain, but I can sense that a big part of it was from Aunt Celeste. Could this be?" Denise thought to herself, her eyes glinting as she realized something .

But before she could finish her thoughts. The walls started bleeding and the imposter emerge from it.

She appeared with a sly smile, triumphantly showing off her naked and tattooed body. Her eyes glinted with malice and her grin widened as she looked at them. It was clear that she was confident in her ability to defeat them. Her posture exuded arrogance and superiority, as if she knew that she had already won.

"You're Aunt Celeste, aren't you?" Denise spoke.

Debbie was shocked and wanted to correct her big sister, but she stayed silent because she knew that her sister won't say something without a reason.

"To be exact, you're her clone. I get what's happening now. Aunt Celeste tried to divide her soul so she could leave this place. Basically, you're nothing but residual waste," Denise taunted her.

"Don't call me that! That damn bitch wanted to leave me here alone!" Celeste was triggered and started acting hysterically.

"You're not even a real person " Denise grinned as she finally found her sour spot.

Vincent lay on the bed, entranced by Celeste's spell, as his body slept peacefully. He was completely under her control, his soul trapped within his own flesh.

Frustration boiled within him as he struggled against the enchantment, his voice rising in a desperate plea for release. He watched helplessly as the scene unfolded before him, his mind trapped in a perpetual nightmare.

"Think, damn it, think!"  He berated himself for falling so easily under her spell, knowing he should have fought back harder. The memory of their multiple sexual encounters made him feel even more foolish, as if he had willingly opened himself up to her manipulations.

Lost in his regret, he suddenly noticed the medallion start to shine brightly, illuminating the room. To his surprise, he felt a surge of energy and was slowly able to move his body once more.

"What's happening?" he asked with growing excitement .

Then an idea came to his mind.

"It seems that my medallion is trying to break the curse " he exclaimed in excitement.

Driven by his determination, he guided the energy through his body, the light from the medallion fusing with his veins. His body began to jerk and move, and he knew he had to keep going.

"I can do this!" he yelled, a newfound sense of strength coursing through him.

With a renewed sense of purpose, he struggled to his feet and quickly gathered his wits. He knew that time was running out to save Debbie and Denise from the clutches of that damn witch.

Despite still feeling weak, he was determined to push through and do whatever it took to rescue her.

"Wait for me, I'll save you now," he forced himself as he struggled to walk.

Following Debbie's scent, he made his way through the now normal-looking house. It was as if Celeste was preoccupied with something else, allowing him to use his enhanced senses this time.

The house was eerily quiet as Vincent descended into the underground basement. The air was thick with the stench of decay and the only sound was the soft thudding of his footsteps. As he reached the bottom, he could see a faint light flickering in the distance.

Vincent knew he was getting closer. With his heart pounding in his chest, he steeled himself for what lay ahead and took a deep breath before walking forward.

The battle between Denise and Celeste was a spectacle beyond the realm of mortal comprehension. These women fought with the ferocity of demons, wielding their most powerful curses against each other.

Although Celeste held the advantage of being on her home turf, Denise possessed a far greater arsenal of potent spells. She summoned abhorrent maggots that ravaged the walking corpses with frightening speed, exploding in a shower of corrosive fluids once their hunger was sated. Her wind curse sliced through anything that dared approach her.

Debbie on the other hand found herself safe within a dome of flesh and blood that Denise had conjured, shielding her from harm.

As she fought, Denise had a sudden realization.

"I see it now," she muttered between curses. " She only knows how to use Aunt Celeste's spells, but she doesn't know how to truly utilize them."
