CHAPTER 321 – Rage

Jade did not want to lose to this scoundrel and no matter what Xander said, it did not change the fact that letting go and spraying the floor with his blood would be the perfect thing to do.

She was filled with anger, her pain written plainly on her face as her body tensed up.

The anger, the regrets, and the sadness she had been through and spent many months trying to escape from were thrown in her face like they meant nothing.

Those were her parents, her life support and the joy of her existence for years. How dare he mock the very life they left and their death even after killing them.

No, he deserved no mercy. There was no mercy for a mass murderer like him.

He should die. He should pay for all he did.

He deserves the worst punishment there is.

He should die and be used to mopping the floor for his father to see the outcome of his wayward son.

But knowing how angry she got, there was a possible chance she was going to miss and if that played out, the outcome was going to be a bad one.

One day she could not risk anything. It was better than anything to calm down or she lost more than she needed.

She couldn’t bring herself to be the cause of anyone’s untimely demise. But for Zane and Zains, she wished to do more than be a smiling pretty.

“Jade,” Xander called out once more and this time she responded.

“My love.”

“Let it go. I would handle it.”

“Fine. So long as he doesn’t pull another stunt, I would be happy not to kill him. Should he do so, however, I won’t hesitate as I have ever done. I would plunge it into his thick skull.”

“Sure. And I won’t stop you either.”

Getting her confirmation from him, Jade nodded visibly. It was war. So let it be done.

“What are you nodding for?” Zane’s questioned with a scoff.

“At the fact that you keep running your mouth, just the way you hide your tail between your legs scared for an actual confrontation with him, a dragon.”

‘These kinds of creatures shouldn’t be let to exist in this world. It would be my mission to rid us of them.”

A loud scoff resonated from every corner of the warehouse where they were. All of the dragons snickered at his remarks.

A very impossible action he wished to take. The road no one should thread upon.

Even without Xavier’s go-ahead, they were sure they could end his miserable life anytime. He had spoken too much and he was a miscreant who needed to be removed from the world.

“Did that hurt your feelings, little Lizards?” He inquired sarcastically, a triumphant smile smearing on his lips. “My pleasure. There are plenty more waiting to be said, sorry excuses of a tadpole.”

That was it. Enduring his insults was one thing the dragons could no longer bear in their hearts.

They were proud beings but having the lowly likes of him, a mere human who could be squashed or roasted alive with a breath from them, insult them, that was unforgivable.

Minerva was the first to speak up via the mind link as her dragon roared in anger at Xyler.

What was he waiting for? Death on his mate first or what? She could no longer stand it and she gave her order.

Whoever chose not to comply had themselves to blame and their eardrums at stake.

“Block your ears. I am going to kill someone.”

“Minerva wa...”

Before Aramis could stop her, she lifted her head, tilting it back a bit as her mouth opened wide while Zane was distracted by his taunting.

Thanks to the earbud still stuck in Macy, Asia and Jade’s left ears, they were of what was going to happen as she muttered those words out as well, but low enough so they could hear using the communicating device but low enough to not set their enemies off.

Irrespective of the warning she gave, Aramis and Xander were bothered about the girls.

They were not prepared enough for such a close-range attack. Besides, her target was Zane and Zain, one of whom was standing farther from the others.

For such to work, she needed to put more force into her powers and scream.

They could not reel out the danger that proposed to the ladies having one of their ears blocked.

“You know what your problems are as a dragon? You have such a weak leader as your Lord, tied around the waists of a lousy hum...”

“Aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!!”

Without warning or apology, Minerva screamed out her lungs making sure her hit was going to be sure.

To the surprise of all those who were not ready, painful vibrations surged straight at them, hitting right at their brain through their eardrum.

Starting from the man who held Macy hostage to the others Asia pointed her gun at, Zain and Zane, everyone was affected instantly by the attack.

Bang!

Shocked and hit by the waves, Zain pulled the trigger on his gun, hitting Jade right on her left hand as she crouched low a bit.

Thanks to the distraction her scream caused and the injury she dealt to them, Zain’s aim was no longer straight, causing him to miss Jade’s head.

Regardless, as soon as the bullet was shot, Xander roared in rage. That singular action triggered the rage and pain of the other dragons.

Instantly, everyone took that as their cue and the attack began.

Xander moved with the speed of light decking forward as he slammed right into an anguished Zain, sending both of them into the opposing wall.

Similarly, Asia rose back into a straight position, pulling on the trigger of her gun as she shot at the other men left.

Taking the commotion to his advantage, Zane made for a quick run while the others got engaged in a swift and painful battle, making sure the humans present screamed out in agony as their limbs were torn from their bodies.

“Aaarrrhhhh!”
