318 Silver Bullet

**************

CHAPTER 318

The moment the words fell out of his mouth, Xander tightened his hands by his side and got ready for a real attack.

He was done playing nice. Now he was going to unleash all hell.

SWOOSH!

His eyes fell wide open when he felt the bullet pierce his right shoulder from nowhere. Instantly, several eyes fell open the moment they felt him wince in pain and Xyler roared in their minds.

Their dragons stirred in their mind just watching to pinpoint where the attack had come from should in case another happened.

“Xander...” Minerva called out. Instantly she felt a burning sensation spread through her body, moving to her throat and she held her neck.

COOOHHHH

.....

She coughed out loud, completely taken aback by the toxins effect.

She spat out a mouthful of blood. Her eyes went wide at the same time when she realized inhaling the smoke had done too much damage than she could have imagined.

“Xander this isn’t good,” Sky whispered, sure enough, he could be heard and instead of the usual firm reply he got he felt Xander’s mind link weaken a bit.

“Xander, Xyler. What is wrong? Speak to me,” alarmed, Sky half yelled.

He did not get a response fast and only after a few heartbeats, did Xander speak up.

“Yes,” Xander replied weakly.

“Why are you not bloody healing?” He inquired again. This time his eyes went wide as he looked at his friend, waiting for a response.

“You want to know? Hahahaa,” Zane let out a peal of devilish laughter, driving dread down the hearts of the men present with him. “Because,” he suddenly called out, earning him glares from every angle.

Sadly, for them, he was least worried about anything. He had carefully plotted against them, should in case they tried any funny business like what they did when he had Jade.

“Because I came prepared.”

His gaze shifted to the far side where a man dressed in all black stood with a snipper in his hand.

The smile in the man’s eyes told Zane that he was more than prepared and happy the first strike hit the biggest shark.

“Because it’s a silver bullet,” Astoria spat out.

“Good one missy. But I think you all should watch yourself,” Zane’s sarcastic tone echoed at them.

The second he said that Astoria lifted her chin up a little and chuckled softly. “You seem to be forgetting something. As much as a silver bullet can kill us, just how do you intend on marking your target?”

At the very same moment, the last word left her lips, the guy shot two bullets at her.

“Tsk,” the smug smile remained on her face as she effortlessly dodged it, pushing Xander out of the way.

“You lost the game the second you began to breathe. You only got us for a second because of your smoke screen.”

She lifted her hands in the air and before anyone could say anything, she snapped her fingers, distracting the man and dashed in his direction, charging at him with a speed the man could barely react to.

Quickly, he took a silver dagger and blocked his face, waiting for her attack.

“Aramis!” She called out and her twin was on her heels, chasing after the man.

If there was anything, he made a terrible mistake going after Xander first.

GBISH!

Her boots landed on the silver knife, kicking at the hilt o the dagger, before spinning around and sending her other feet right at his face.

Her attacks were fluid and without blemish. She was mad. Angry to say the least because right before them, he had hit Xander first.

To make matters worst, the second the bullet met with his shoulder, Xyler screeched loudly in their eardrums, upsetting their dragons in turn and no one wanted an upset dragon to go berserk in their head.

Taking that cue, Sky made a sharp stickappear in his hand and stabbed directly into the place where Xander was shot, pushing out the silver bullet.

A low grunt escaped Xander’s lips but he did nothing more. Even without him speaking, his council members and closest friends knew what to do.’It was no wonder they were the heads of their houses and won so many battles.

After a few seconds, Xander flexed his shoulders, flaring his wings to the side as his neck snapped from side to side.

The moment he did that, Zale watched in horror as the bullet wound began to close up little by little.

“Nice one Zale. But I think I am done playing games as well,” Xander’s deep voice echoed loudly. He had been busy mentally speaking with his mate but now... he had time.

He pushed his right hand to the side where Minerva was. His blood-thirsty eyes dimmed as she gave a low command. “Feed.”

Her gaze shifted to his head, hoping she had heard wrongly but the look in his eyes when he looked at her from the corners of his eyes told her he meant every single word he said.

“Feed,” his deep voice ordered again. “Dig those fangs in and become better. I am going to enjoy killing every one of them with you.”

That was the maddening cue she needed plus her dragon raging deep within at being hurt and she dug her fangs willingly into his arm, feeding a bit on his blood.

As the Dragon Lord, his blood had curative abilities. Out of everyone, she was the weakest when it came to attacks that affected their senses and she was the one he needed most to kill them with a single screech from her.

It did not take long and she began to feel better. Her dragon as well calmed down its nerves as well, setting everything in place.

While this happened, Zane was shocked to find Aramis and Astoria giving his trump card guy a tough time.

Since both of them had their eyes and ears, it was easy to predict his movement and from his breathing, they cornered him easily.

Within minutes, several punches were landed on him, with both obtaining the upper hand.

“Do not get distracted, Zane. The main fight is here and now. Do not get scared, I shall make it painful and torturous.”

“Hahhaa, scared? I am just getting started.” Zane laughed out, bringing out a gun from his side, and aiming it at Xander, took a shot.

Instantly all the dragons took to their heels, moving around swiftly and fighting all the men he had with him.

Minutes later, they had taken care of a normal of men, killing so many of Zane’s men.

All the while, Jade watched from where she was. Her anger rose up faster than normal when she saw the sinister trick Zane pulled.

It took all her will power not to jump down and shoot Zane a thousand times in the head when Xander was shot.

Thankfully for the mate bond, Xander was busy satiating her and keeping her rage in check lest she forgets her plan and attack.

Minerva on the other hand had better work to do and was ready to let out her cry when they heard the thudding of boots against the floor as it shook in response.

She halted in her mark, narrowing her eyes around, to sense where the boots came from.

No sooner had her eyes dropped close than Astoria yelled out at her... “Not now!”
