311 Fight For Control

CHAPTER 311

“And although I am new to this mate bond thing, I believe that Xander can sense it and it is why he is eager to end Anders family and carry on her revenge as well as the pain of their love.

The silence continued while her words sank into their minds. She was speaking about what she knew because they needed to understand and not judge Jade wrongly.

This was life. These were feelings. People got scared and Jade, being a Mafia Lord wasn’t free from such feelings considering Xander was her first love.

“Only then would he try again,” Asia continued. “That is what I have analyzed and seeing this today, I think I may not be far from the truth. He wants everything to be done properly.”

“Nice speech, Asia,” Astoria commented. “I can say this with utmost confident that the Dragon Lord, is a gentleman.”

Both Asia and Astoria smiled at each other. This was the truth and such was life.

“Yes. Indeed. That was a touching speech, Asia. I am proud but I think Aramis is prouder,” Maron confessed.

She peeled her gaze from him and looked at Aramis. Just as he had said, her boyfriend smiled with so much pride in his eyes at her.

“I love you,” he mouthed to her and pressed a kiss on her forehead. “Jade is lucky to have you.”

“As I am to have her.”

“Okay then. I think we can end this meeting here and go relax before the big war because judging from this, I know Xander’s intent to kill the Anders mafia family is stronger now,” Sky informed them.

“Sure. Meeting adjourned,” Jay dramatically announced.

The sound of the door opening and slamming hard against the frame, coming to a close as two people walked in, reverberated all around the big room.

Xander pulled her body and pressed her against the wall pinning her hands above her head on the wall. “Xander...” Jade called out, seeing the anger and desire spiral in his eyes.

Before she could utter the next word, his lisp crashed on hers instantly. He broke the kiss, letting her hands drop while he wrapped on her waist and held her face.

“Xan...” He cut her off once more, silencing her with a fierce kiss.

Jade did not understand what was doing on. One moment he was out there defending her and claiming to be the problem but now, he was acting mad and jealous for some reason.

She could not place it but she knew something was wrong with him and he was not his usual self.

‘Xander,” she called out through their mind link but what she got as a response was the angry big scary eyes of Xyler.

She let out a gasp in her mind and flew her eyes open.

Immediately Xander stopped and looked at her. The fear in her eyes spoke volumes to Xander.

She saw his eyes shift from being dilated into a slit then changing back to their original ones and changing again.

She could tell he was fighting with his dragon’s consciousness to take control. She finally understood what they spoke about minutes ago.

Xander may be patient but his dragon did not have that ounce of patience left in him and he was mad. However, the question that probed her was why?

She reached for his face soothingly, as she rubbed her palm against his cheek and brought her face closer. “Honey. Can you hear me?”

The shifting continue and he snarled at her. She swallowed and smiled from her heart. Xyler was reacting really bad and if anything were to happen, she would not be able to hold him down which was risky.

“My love,” she voiced out in a whisper and although all she saw now was Xyler looking sternly at her, she ignored it and brought her lips to his.

Without hesitating she pressed her lips harder on his, forcing his lips open as she slid her tongue into his warm mouth.

All she could think of was how much he mattered to her and how sorry she was for not trying harder to fight for their love while he suffered.

With that she poured her feelings for him into the kiss, opening their mind link through the mate bond and allowing him to feel all of her insecurities and love.

She was not going to hide from him again. She was tired of doing so.

Sensing her love through the mate bond, Xander felt her pain and joy. Being the ever-protective mate that he was, he pushed through and won over Xyler to speak to her and calm her down.

The man she kissed who did not respond to her kiss suddenly wrapped his hands around her body, pulling her into him and reciprocated her kiss with the same love and fervour.

They breathed in unison. Hearts yearn, minds becoming one, feeling intertwining and memories coming close.

“I am sorry,” he breathed and swallowed hard, licking his lips. “I am sorry I lost control.”

Jade smiled at him and shook her head as her eyes washed over his face. “No, love. No. Honey, it wasn’t your fault,” she pressed their foreheads together while reaching into his hair and gently massaging it.

“You had all the right to do that.”

“No. I was silly. How can I rule if I cannot tame my dragon.”

“He is a part of you, Xander. There is no taming of that naughty dragon.”

“Hhahaa, but well, I guess what I can not make up on my own, my mate can. You tamed him with a kiss and brought me back. Ah, Sky and Jay would laugh the living daylights out of me, if they ever find out.”

“Good thing we are the only ones here. They won’t be finding out.”

No sooner had she said that than Xander whipped his head to the side and snarled. The change in his eyes and attitude was brief, barely up to three seconds but it was enough to send his message.

By the time he was returning his gaze to her, his eyes had changed once more and his face was full of smiles.

“What was that for?”

“Hahaha, you can guess. Now we are three who know of this.”

She creased her brows, narrowing her eyes at him. “Three?”

“Yup. The nosy was eavesdropping.”

“Astoria?!”

“Hahaha yes. I sent her out though. She knows if Xyler wakes up her dragon, she would be toast. She won’t pry anymore.”

“Oh, I see.” She heaved out a sigh of relief and smiled again. “Good thing, ’cause I do not want anyone hearing you moan aside from me.”

His brows raised up in silent wonder. “Hearing me moan? Where is that coming from?”

A hint of mischief lined her eyes as she licked her lips sexily. “What do you think? I want to make you moan, cum, groan, growl, whichever one it is.”

“Jade,” he let out in a warning tone. She was asking for trouble saying those words to an eager dragon. “Don’t play with flames.”

“I want to get burnt by them. Devour me, make love to me.”

She watched as his eyes darkened with lust to the point whereby his eyes changed again. She was waking Xyler up.

“Please.” His voice came in a whimper as he pleaded with her. “Don’t make me take you like this Jade.”

“But I want...” Her words fell off her lips, watching his eyes change back to normal and he grabbed her butt, pressing his lips on hers. “I want you too but not now.”

Immediately, he pulled away, leaving her alone as his fingers reached up to comb through his hair.

His chest rose and fell with each deep breath he took. How could she be this so damn enchanting without even trying?

“Xander?”

He waited for some second but did not respond. He was busy chanting to keep Xyler out of his consciousness.

“Xander,” he called for a second time and he replied.

“Yes?”

“I love you.” Hearing those words was like music to his ears. He turned to look at her and rushed to her side and hugged her.

“I love you too. Come.”

He pulled her over to the big bed at the centre of the room and sat down before placing her on his thigh. “Jade, I miss you. I want to start over.”
