When the doorbell rang, Lee Wooyeon pulled a pillow and covered his ears. The constant sound of the doorbell continued.

“Fuck.”

Lee Wooyeon threw the pillow and got up from the bed. It was ten in the morning. Today was a day without a schedule, so he read a book until dawn and fell asleep. In short, it meant that no one has been given the right to wake him up at 10 am.

He opened the front door without asking who it was.

The man who was about to ring the doorbell stood still and looked at Lee Wooyeon.

“…What’s going on?”

Lee Wooyeon asked in an annoyed voice. Choi Inseop stuttered and answered.

“Oh, today’s schedule has changed, so I got a call saying that the filming should be done today morning instead of the day after tomorrow.”

“…”

A faint annoyance appeared on Lee Wooyeon’s face. It was not uncommon for filming schedules to change. But at the very least, shouldn’t they warn in advance?

“Sorry.”

Choi Inseop bowed his head.

“No. It’s not Choi Inseop’s fault. Fine.”

Lee Wooyeon immediately put on the mask of a good person and responded. He said, “Come in,” and as he stepped out of the door, Choi Inseop flinched and looked around.

“Are you going to stay outside until I get ready?”

“Ah… Yes. Then.”

Even after entering the front door, Choi Inseop did not think about taking off his shoes. When Lee Wooyeon told him to come inside and wait a few more minutes, Choi Inseop took off his shoes.

“Sit down and wait. Can I get you a drink?”

“No. I’m fine. I will just wait.”

Choi Inseop waved his hand and walked away, as if he hadn’t heard anything. Lee Wooyeon thought Inseop wasn’t the kind of person to work this type of job. In order to be a manager, sincerity was important, but shamelessness was an essential element.

Taking water out of the refrigerator, Lee Wooyeon turned around and found Choi Inseop sitting on the sofa, with both hands on his knees, very nervous.

How is he going to work with such a personality? Well, it doesn’t matter. They won’t see each other in two months anyway.

Lee Wooyeon went into the bathroom to take a shower.

Left alone, Choi Inseop saw that the bathroom door was closed and began to look around. The modern and neat interior that shows Lee Wooyeon’s taste as it is, caught his attention. It was so clean and tidy that it was hard to believe that it was a house where a man lived alone.

The only cluttered parts were the bedroom without sheets and books on the table. Choi Inseop quickly scanned the title of the book he was reading with his eyes. He had a good memory, so he was able to memorize all the titles of the book by reading it once. However, Choi Inseop took out his cell phone from his pocket to commemorate this moment. He even downloaded a program so that it would not make a sound even if he took a picture. He should record everything about Lee Wooyeon. He had to figure out as much as he could.

He took a picture of the sofa first. He’ll sit here and watch TV or listen to music. Then there was the CD. As if to prove that listening to music was a hobby, the cabinet was packed with CDs. While Choi Inseop was taking photos of the CD catalog, Lee Wooyeon came out of the bathroom after taking a shower.

“What are you doing?”

“Ah, I…”

Lee Wooyeon was wearing a bathrobe, but Choi Inseop did not dare raise his head. His heart was pounding like a boy caught doing something bad.

“If you like something, borrow it.”

Having said that, Lee Wooyeon went into his room. Choi Inseop’s legs were shaking, so he went back to the sofa and sat down.

It was still hard to believe that the two of them were alone in such a close space. Whenever he faced Lee Wooyeon’s personal appearance one by one, Choi Inseop felt rewarded for the efforts that he had put in to stand here right now.

Lee Wooyeon came out with his clothes on. Choi Inseop jumped up from his seat. Lee Wooyeon asked a question mixed with laughter as he ran to the front door and put on his shoes first.

“Why are you in such a hurry? It’s fine.”

“No.”

Putting on his shoes, Choi Inseop quickly opened the front door and waited. The same went for taking the elevator. First, he grabbed the elevator door and stayed far away from it.

Lee Wooyeon disliked being close to people, like the managers. He quickly cut off the managers who were arrogant and sarcastic as if they could do anything.

Even in the elevator, Choi Inseop was standing alone, staring at the wall without making eye contact. Lee Wooyeon felt that saying the new manager was his fan was something that was just said out of courtesy.

When they arrived at the parking lot, Choi Inseop told him to wait and quickly brought the car. When he opened the car door and Lee Wooyeon entered, bread and coffee were laid out. If it was sweet coffee with whipped cream or milk, he had specifications, but it was an Americano. The bread was also white ciabatta from his favorite bakery.

“I thought you wouldn’t be able to eat breakfast, so I prepared it.”

“Thank you. Did Inseop have breakfast?”

“Yes. I did.”

Choi Inseop answered that as they were leaving, and turned the wheel. Lee Wooyeon hated the smell of other people’s food in the car. Of course, he chose only the food he ate that did not have a strong smell.

While eating the ciabatta, Lee Wooyeon remembered CEO Kim’s words that the manager would never quit. It seems that this time, he really thought about it and chose him. Because of this small conscious, he felt a little sorry for CEO Kim, who would have put a lot of effort into choosing disposable items.

As he drank the slightly cold coffee, he looked at Choi Inseop’s back.

“I made a reservation at the shop, and with the help of Manager Cha, I picked out a few outfits.”

“Thank you.”

Lee Wooyeon said that to the back of the head of the new manager, who not only has a good sense but was also meticulous in his work. As soon as he spoke, Choi Inseop’s ear went red, and Lee Wooyeon noticed.

He recalled that the new manager was a big fan of his. Was it just a courtesy? Was it true? Suddenly curious, he asked a question.

“Are you serious about that?”

“Yes?”

At the red signal, the car stopped. Choi Inseop asked, making eye contact from the rearview mirror.

“What do you mean…”

“You said you were my fan.”

“…Yes, I am a fan.”

Seeing the strength in the hand holding the handle, Lee Wooyeon smiled. It seemed to be true. He didn’t like the female fans, but he hated the male fans even more.

“How is it to see me in reality? It is said that there are many cases of disappointment when you see a celebrity in person.”

“No. It’s not like that! Never, never been disappointed. Rather much more…”

Even if one was to blaspheme God in front of a faithful Christian, they wouldn’t jump like that. Choi Inseop turned his body completely back and opened his eyes and shouted.

“Much more?”

Lee Wooyeon smiled and waited for Choi Inseop to say the next thing.

“How about much more?”

“It’s wonderful. The best.”

“Thank you.”

“I’m not just saying this out of courtesy. Really…”

Horns blared from behind. Suddenly, the signal turned green. Choi Inseop turned his body forward and muttered in an awkward voice.

“It really is. Really… You are the best.”

Lee Wooyeon smirked from behind and waved his hand, saying, “I understand.” Choi In-seop kept his mouth shut as if he was concentrating on driving again. He didn’t open his mouth until he got to the hairdresser.
