Su Zongwen and Ming Jiling rode their horses and galloped towards the deep mountains.

"Those who obtain their heads will be heavily rewarded!"

The leader of the men in black shouted, and the others immediately charged forward, whipping their horses as they chased after them.

The group followed closely, but Su Zongwen and Ming Jiling were still unable to get away from them. The further the horses galloped, the more narrow the mountain road became, and when Su Zongwen saw that the pursuers were getting closer, he could only abandon his horse and escape.

"Your Highness, there is no road ahead. The only thing we can do now is abandon the horses and run up the mountain." Su Zongwen turned and look at Ming Jiling.

"Alright." Ming Jiling nodded.

"Whooosh." They pulled on the reins and stopped by the side of the road.

"Cousin, you're injured?" After the two of them dismounted, Ming Jiling finally noticed Su Zongwen's back that was drenched in blood and frowned.

"No problem, it's just some flesh wounds."

Su Zongwen left the two horses by the side of the road and observed the ground for a while. Then, he pulled Ming Jiling and went into the forest, "Let's go this way."

The two of them took the bows and arrows from the horses and walked along the tangled paths in the forest. After walking for an unknown amount of time, they finally let out a sigh of relief when there were no pursuers behind them.

"They don't seem to be chasing us, why don't we find a place to rest first?"

Su Zongwen looked around to confirm that there was no danger, and then he spoke.

"Alright." Ming Jiling nodded, when he looked around, he saw a cave not far away, his expression became happy, he pointed at the cave and said gently: There seems to be a cave ahead, let's go ahead and hide.

After the two entered the cave, Su Zongwen could no longer hold on, and could not even stand stably while supporting himself against the wall. His entire back was dyed red with blood, and his face was as pale as paper.

"Cousin, are you alright?" Ming Jiling immediately helped him to sit down.

"I'm fine." Su Zongwen shook his head with a pale face, then took out a few medicine bottles from his chest with much difficulty, "These are the pills Yue Niang prepared for me before we leave.

After Su Zongwen finished speaking, he could no longer hold on and fainted with a pale face.

When he was fighting with the group of black-clothed men earlier, in order to protect Ming Jiling, he had suffered two cuts on his back. Along the way, he had gritted his teeth and endured the pain.

It was a good thing that Ming Jiling had also trained in the army camp, and he was not the kind of delicate prince who had never seen a bloody scene before.

The medicines in the small porcelain bottles were all refined by Shen Zhu from his spatial space. There were hemostatic and pain-relieving medicines, antipyretic medicines, and even some medicine that could increase blood circulation and remove blood stasis. In order to make it convenient for her to use them, she had intentionally labeled them on each small porcelain bottle.

Ming Jiling found some medicine from a few medicine bottles to stop the bleeding and relieve the pain. He then carefully applied the medicine on Su Zongwen and tore two pieces of clean cloth from his body to bandage him up. After he was done packing, he also picked up some dry grass and laid it on the ground for Su Zongwen to rest.

This cave wasn't very big, but the cave entrance was surrounded by weeds. If one didn't look carefully, it would be difficult to find a cave here, so it was very safe for the two to stay here.

From the way the group of black-clothed men acted, it was clear that they wanted to kill them. They would not give up so easily at the moment, and with Su Zongwen being injured, it was not safe for them to go down the mountain. After Ming Jiling had settled them down, he planned to go out and find something to eat.

They had not eaten for an entire day.

He was fine, but Su Zongwen was still injured, so he had to eat something to recuperate.

Ming Jiling looked at Su Zongwen who was lying on the dry grass, stood up and patted off the dust on his body, then brought his bow and arrows out of the cave, planning to hunt some wild game for his stomach.

Su Zongwen slept until nightfall, and when he woke up, a fire had already been lit in the cave. For safety's sake, Ming Jiling had even put two stones at the entrance of the cave to hide, to protect against both wind and beasts.

"Bro, you're awake." Ming Jiling was roasting the pheasant beside the fire, and when he heard the noise behind him, he immediately turned his head.

"I've already drugged the wound on your back. Do you feel better now?"

He stood up and walked towards Su Zongwen's direction and extended his hand to help her up.

"I feel much better already."

Su Zongwen lowered his head to look at the bandaged wound on his body, and spoke with a weak voice, "Thank you for your hard work."

He didn't pay attention to the way Ming Jiling addressed him.

Ming Jiling reached out to help the people to walk to the bonfire and sit down, "I got a chicken, it was roasted very quickly."

"Your majesty, I'm afraid the group of black clothed people attacking us today are after you."

Su Zongwen sat in front of the fire, his expression heavy, "Those people are all extraordinary, their moves are deadly. From the looks of their martial arts technique, they are very likely to be Death Soldiers."

"Brother is right, that group of men in black are all well-trained. Someone wants to take advantage of this opportunity to get rid of me."

Ming Jiling's gaze darkened as a cold smile hung on his face.

He could slowly play those people to death by injuring him, but he didn't leave a single one of the brothers that he put in his heart!

Su Zongwen was startled by the term "Ming Jiling", but after being stunned for a moment, he continued to analyze calmly, "It looks like those people will not leave without finding us. The terrain of the mountain is extremely complicated, and they might not be able to find us in a short period of time.

"In my opinion, we should spend the night here. As for other matters, we should plan after dawn. The other party does not have many people. As long as General Liu and the others can find us before noon tomorrow, we will be fine."

That night, the two of them rested in the cave.

The injuries on Su Zongwen's body were too severe, causing him to catch a high fever last night. From then on, he would sleep soundly the entire night, and by the time he woke up, it was already noon.

"Your Highness, what time is it now?" Su Zongwen supported himself on the floor with his arms, standing up with much difficulty. His voice was a little hoarse.

"Looking at the sun, it should be the end of time." Ming Jiling reached out to support him.

"From what I see, this cave isn't safe. Those black-clothed people probably won't be able to find this place for long. If General Liu still isn't able to get here, then we'll be in danger." Su Zongwen frowned slightly, he had a bad premonition in his heart.

"This cave is very well hidden. I've already blocked up the entrance a bit last night, so those black-clothed people won't be able to find it for now." Ming Jiling looked at Su Zongwen worriedly and continued, "You are still wounded, we can't leave this place right now."

"These are all flesh wounds. It's fine." Su Zongwen forced himself to stand up, "We need to leave as soon as possible, or else, when those black-clothed men find this place, the consequences will be unthinkable."

"Brother, sit down first." Ming Jiling helped the person to sit back down.

"You rest here first. I will go out and find a more secluded area to set up the signal. Once General Liu sees the signal, he will naturally be able to find us." Ming Jiling suggested.

"That's fine too. It's just that you have to be careful by yourself." Su Zongwen nodded.

Ming Jiling squatted in front of the extinguished bonfire, and casually picked up a piece of charcoal, then tore off a piece of his clothes and quickly wrote a few words on the cloth.

"Then I'll leave first." Ming Jiling kept the cloth inside his clothes, and casually picked up the bow and arrows that was placed at the corner of the wall, and walked out, "Brother, you stay here and don't move."

Su Zongwen smiled at the little cousin's nagging and agreed.
