Chapter 393 Illusion And Reality Collide, Resulting In A Miracle!

His words seemed to have hit a nerve.

Aura burst out of the red ape and sharpened the stones into rock daggers. Some were the size of a finger, and the others were the size of two to three fingers. They could truly be considered weapons capable of harming aura masters.

"Then die!" The red ape said with a vicious look in his eyes as the stone daggers whizzed through the air and stabbed toward every inch of Roy's body.

"You aren't the only one with skills and abilities!"

Seeing that the rock daggers were about to pierce him from every point and turn him into a sieve, Roy's eyes narrowed slightly, and his Sword Force gushed out.

The sudden appearance of a murky black sea was shocking enough, but when the red ape saw all its aura-infused rock daggers slowing before coming to a stop in mid-air, it became speechless, and its jaw dropped.

Actually, the weapons haven't stopped. They were still advancing towards Roy, but at a pace so slow that it looked like someone had pressed the stop button.

"What power is this?" the red ape asked in bewilderment.

"It's called Sword Force," Roy said as he stepped past the layers of weapons and walked towards it like he was taking a stroll in the back.

"Force? I haven't come in touch with this concept, but you are saying you have mastered it? This must be a dream. I must be in a dream."

But when the moonlight sword infused with killing intent was swung, and the hand it raised to dodge was chopped, it knew this was no dream.

Everything that was happening was real.

The barrier that separated a 20-year-old aura beast from a 30-year-old was the concept called Force.

It was 100 years old already, but it hadn't even begun to understand it. Yet, a man fives times younger than it has learned it and was using it in battle!

Simply inconceivable!

"Aagggghhh!"

The ridiculousness of the situation didn't bend physical laws and couldn't stop the pain from kicking in. The red ape howled in pain, its claw flailing wildly and its hot, red blood spurting out of its body.

Roy saw this moment as an opportunity to take it down and swung his sword again, this time aiming for its head. The red ape suppressed its confusion and swallowed its pain, and dodged the life-ending blow in the nick of time, jumping many feet away from Roy.

'A talented genius of the human race like him can't be left alive, or else there will be no future left for us aura beasts.' the red ape thought to itself as it attacked Roy with everything it got. Its body was set ablaze, and it used its vitality to further fuel the magic fire.

The level of the magic fire increases as a result.

Initially, it was only a level 4 magic fire. But once it poured its life force into it, the level of the magic fire reached level 6.

This fire was unbelievably hot. The red ape could only endure it for a moment, although its defense was one of the best Roy had seen.

"I will bury you with me." The red ape said as it pounced on Roy.

What followed next was as the red ape expected. It hugged him, and it saw the fire on its body latching onto Roy and burning him alive, burning him till his bones were turned to ashes and there was nothing left of him alive.

"Enough dreaming."

The voice of the person who had died in front of its eyes sounded in the red ape's ears, causing its eyes to widen. Then an immense amount of pain washed over its body, attacking its consciousness. With whatever strength and willpower it had in its body, it forced itself to keep conscious and looked down to see the point from where the pain was emerging.

It saw a white sword driven deep inside its flesh, and the hilt of this blade was held by the young man himself!

The Ghost Chaser Sword was on the ground next to his feet. He had dropped it for something else, for something so great that even a 20-year-old aura monster was fooled, due to which he was granted the opportunity to catch it by surprise.

"H-How?" asked the red ape as it came close to drawing its last breath.

"You were so consumed by your pride that you failed to see the obvious." Roy said, "I am so strong that even three of you aren't enough to take my life."

"B-But how?" asked the beast again.

It would probably become a ghost and haunt him if he didn't satisfy his curiosity.

Roy unfurled his free hand, revealing a runic stone. "The very runic stone you gave your slave to hunt innocent passersby became your downfall. How do you feel?"

It would have been better if it had died without knowing such a shocking truth.

What it was seeing when it was burning Roy to death was an illusion.

It had fallen into an illusion long before it had hugged Roy!

Roy, the owner of the high-level fire-control skill, had extinguished its flame with a casual glance right after it set itself on fire, and then he waited for it to deliver itself to death's embrace.

"I-I… I am unresi...gned." the red ape uttered

"That's what everyone you hunted thought before you killed them." Roy twisted the sword, causing even more damage and drawing its last breath out.

『1000 points of damage have been dealt to the Sunfire Ape』

『Its HP has dropped to zero!』

The system's notification was like a warning that told a lot to him.

"Still hasn't died?"

After the beast's health bar dropped to zero, Roy yanked the moonlight sword out of its body and struck again.

With one final blow, Roy delivered the killing stroke, and the red ape's head dropped to the ground, rolling up to his feet.

『Ding! Congratulations on killing a level 2 aura monster for the first time』

Only when this notification sounded did he put the moonlight sword and the illusion-type runic stone away. He also picked up Ghost Chaser, gave it a hard shook to get the dust off of it, and tossed it into the subspace.
