Stomping and growling, a terrifying group of beasts walked out of the innermost area of the icy, cold land and entered that part of the outskirts where Roy and his friends fought with the swarm of rippers not too long ago.

They were hardly similar to each other.

Each of them had distinct features.

The only thing similar about them was that they served the same person, and their disposition was like a sharpened and well-crafted sword, completely different from the disposition of level 20 and below monsters that reeked of savagery was innate to predatory animals.

Eyes twinkling profoundly and heads moving left and curiously, they walked forward as if in search of something.

Their thirst for knowledge and the curiosity they had about other races signified, and their eyes that showed human-like intelligence showcased that they were aura monsters.

These hundreds of aura monsters were surrounded by mist and clouds.

Leading the group was a small, round bat the size of a man’s hand.

Flapping its wings, it flew forward and sniffed the air, catching on to a familiar scent.

Immediately, its eyes lit up in joy, and its wings flapped faster in response to its excitement.

“Ganesha! I found them! The scent of the bastards that stole our fruit is thick in the air. They must be close by!”

“Good job, bat!”

This was said in a raspy, manly voice that was pleasant, almost seductive to the ears. It came out of the surrounding mist. It wasn’t wrong to say that mist and clouds praised the bat, who was coincidentally named Bat.

Ganesha, the mist and the clouds, ordered: “Move, don’t let them get away.”

The left minister of the Icy, Cold Realm added, “Catch them by tonight, even if it means chasing them to the very end of Threa.”

The left minister of this realm was a female who aura beasts found extremely attractive, and she resembled a humanoid with a pike-like head, which was completely outside the spectrum of what humans find aesthetically pleasing.

At best, she could be described as a child’s nightmare or a beautiful bride without plastic surgery and thick makeup.

Standing beside her was another humanoid with a shark-like face.

He was the left minister of this realm.

He opened his mouth wide, revealing razor-sharp teeth, and spoke commandingly.

“If it’s with them, retrieve it.”

One of the thousand aura beasts, a ferocious maid of Lord Ganesha, questioned the left minister.

“What if it’s not?”

“Annihilate them to the very last man!”

Ganesha opened his mouth and roared out a command.

“Set out!”

….

“Roar!”

A resounding roar reverberated throughout the outskirts of the Icy, Cold Realm, deafening the ears of many and scaring the magical crows and birds so much that they leaped out of their nests and flew away.

It was so loud that it created a vibration throughout the land.

Roy and his group felt shaken, their hearts thumping loudly.

They stopped in the middle of their step and looked back simultaneously upon hearing the ominous roar, only to see mist seeping out from behind the trees and creeping up to them.

Their surprise didn’t end here, as the rolling mist and churning clouds filled the air and thickened.

Their vision was compromised.

“No matter how I think about it, this situation feels damn ominous.”

Julian gulped nervously.

He was the furthest away from the group.

‘Being alone at times like these usually means death, according to the stories. I better bridge the gap between us.’

Julian didn’t want to die like that; he was too young for that!

Thus, he stepped closer to Roy and the others.

“Everyone, gather around me.” Arlo said to the scared members of the group confidently, “I will keep you safe.”

Soon, everyone gathered around him.

The vibration that they could feel got stronger with each passing moment.

This vibration wasn’t caused by an earthquake.

They could tell that something huge was coming towards them, and it was moving very fast.

The sound of uncountable footsteps became audible not long after, and then the ground vibrated as if thousands of horses were galloping.

They could not see through it, but they could locate their targets based on the sounds they were making.

With their backs to each other, they scanned the area in search of the sources of the noises, on alert.

The culprits that were causing the land to vibrate soon revealed themselves.

Roy was going to blast them with his spells, but Arlo stopped him.

“Don’t attack.”

“Why?”

“They might not be our foes.”

Arlo knew full well that only one person could mobilize so many aura beasts, and it was someone he knew very well.

Strange giant shadows with glowing red eyes, some of which were bigger than the trees, soon became discernible through the mist.

What they looked like couldn’t be seen.

Only their silhouette could be held in one’s eyes.

The system’s notification rang in Roy’s ears.

『You have encountered Ganesha and his Night Parade of a thousand aura beasts!』

“They carry the smell of the Rippers. Surround them!”

A thousand strong aura beasts stepped out of the veil provided by the mist, stopping just before a group of tiny, little humans, aggressively staring them down.

Roy and his group were surrounded by tall, towering monsters that parted ways, opening up a path for Bat and the left and right minsters to take to come up to them.

Under their gaze, except for Roy and Arlo, everyone’s legs trembled.

It wasn’t only because of fear that they couldn’t stop shaking like a belly dancer.

The pressure emitting out of the aura beasts was pressing on them.

That was the real reason they couldn’t stop trembling.

They felt like they were being crushed and strangled.

It became harder for them to breathe.
