Chapter 173 The Righteous Knight Makes its reappearance!

The sword was deeply embedded in the Moon Reaper’s left wing, and it froze it and viciously drew blood out from the monster from that very spot.

Swoosh!

A violent wind blew.

Red droplets were seen scattering in the air like sand blown away by the wind. They collided with ice flakes, dyeing them red, as overhead, the Moon Reaper roared out in pain and terror.

It couldn’t feel, control, or flap its left wing, so how could it keep dancing in the sky?

The Moon Reaper yelled in fear as it plunged to the ground like a malfunctioning aircraft, as, without the support of its two wings, it couldn’t take flight, much less maintain it.

At this point, the Moon Reaper fully experienced the disadvantage of having a bigger build than the rest of its clan, and it felt terrified to see the eager smile on Roy’s face.

‘I need to unfreeze my wing by getting this shit out of it, or I’m going to fall to my death, and even if I luckily survived colliding with the ground, they would kill me. Fuck! Can’t these humans just let me go? I only aimed for their lives once, and now they are doing everything in their power to kill me. Fucking rotten bastards!’

In mid-air, the Moon Reaper wordlessly cursed Roy and Delilah as, using its claw, it grabbed the hilt of the sword and tried to yank it out of its wing.

Seeing what it was up to, Roy lit up, and his expression brightened as he smiled evilly.

“Why doesn’t it just drop dead?” Aydin rolled his eyes at the monster that was struggling in every way to keep itself alive.

Despite the pain, it kept its wings wide open to slow down its fall.

“Yeah, what’s the use of struggling so much when it’s going to get killed anyway?” Julian looked at Roy with gleaming eyes. “Right, Roy?”

He was certain that his friend had some way of killing the ugly, monstrous bird, even though it was high in the sky and far beyond their reach.

Roy nodded at him confidently. “Definitely.”

“It’s still trying to run away.” Maya pointed at the beast while pulling her master by the cuff anxiously. “Shoot it down, or it will fly away.”

Who didn’t know that monsters were vicious to the core? If it gets away today, it will definitely come back for revenge after getting stronger. It would be in their best interest if they killed it.

Roy patted her head. He wasn’t feeling rushed or hurried. “The only place it will be flying to today will be the afterlife. Since it likes picking on the weak and running away from the strong and must have killed many passersby in the past, I will personally help it ascend to the afterlife and put an end to its idiocy and villainy.”

The situation didn’t look to be in his favor, though, as the monster was out of his attack range, and it looked like the monster would yank out the sword and fly away any second now.

“But how are you going to do that, my lord?”

An instant after that question was asked, the sword stuck in the Moon Reaper’s wing suddenly glowed and released countless specks of blue that flew in the air, then swirled and twirled around each other and eventually condensed into the shape of a mighty and valiant knight. It was the true form of the righteous knight that couldn’t be manifested under the hand of a vain and selfish criminal like Carl.

『Ding! The special function of the runic item “Piercer” has been activated!』

The knight was dressed in silver armour with blue patterns and holding a mighty 2-meter glaive, and it manifested in mid-air, appearing just beside the Moon Reaper, who was only one attempt away from pulling the sword out of its wing.

Hearing the system’s notification and seeing the knight, Roy lit up. His expression brightened.

‘It’s about time that happened.’

“Puchi!”

Roy smiled after seeing that the knight had stopped his descent, which was obviously due to gravity acting on him, by viciously stabbing his glaive into the Moon Reaper and holding on to it.

This made it roar in pain and anger.

It wanted to instantly strike him dead.

There was a bit of rationality and a bit of madness in its eyes.

In the end, its rationality won over its madness, and it ignored the knight and used all its strength to pull the damn sword out of its wing and throw it away.

Immediately after regaining control of both its wings, it flew away with the knight still hanging from its body.

“I can’t kill them, but you… I will destroy you.” It eyed the knight poisonously.

The righteous knight became the target of its wrath and was attacked by it, but he dodged its brutal assault by using his glaive as a propeller to shoot himself upwards.

?o??? After dodging the claw made of wind and magically created metal that shattered the glaive embedded in the Moon Reaper’s flesh, the knight lightly tapped his feet on the side of its body and leaped up once again.

As a result, he landed on the back of the Moon Reaper.

The knight pressed down hard on its neck with his entire weight in order to keep it from attacking him before he pulled out a small blade strapped to his waist.

Standing tall and unmoving on a plane undergoing turbulence, the knight raised it high, bringing it to the same level as his chest, and then stabbed downward.

“Whoosh!”

It stabbed into the spot where Delilah had wounded the Moon Reaper.

Crack! This bone-chilling sound signified the shattering of a bone that not only connected to the wings but also made it possible for the Moon Reaper to fly

Without it, it couldn’t flap its wings, much less dream of flying!

“Oh, fuck!”

It lost control of both its wings. It immediately regretted looking down at the knight.

But spilled milk can’t be recovered.

It made a terrible mistake. Fixing it demands its life.

“Whoosh!”

It fell from the sky like a shooting star.

“That’s how.” Roy finally replied to Delilah. “I secretly poured aura into it to activate its special function just before throwing it at the monster. The effect was delayed, possibly because it was moving at a high speed. But in the end, it kicked in, so everything’s going according to my plan. I am not disappointed.”

Delilah opened her mouth and closed it at a loss of words.

“You’re amazing.” That’s all she could tell him in the end.

He had everything planned.

From the very start, the monster had no chance of escaping his grasp.

It was dancing in the palm of his hand, and he was eyeing his struggle indifferently.

Their eyes lit up when they saw the monster dropping towards a location 150 meters ahead. It has entered Delilah and Roy’s attack range.

Again, it should be noted that Arlo wasn’t interested in taking part in this fight.

“It’s time you finished it off, my friend!”

“Go deal it the finishing blow, master!”

Julian and Amelia encouraged him.

Their emotions didn’t go to waste.

“I have been meaning to try out my new skill. Guess I will use it to test it out. [Black Lightning Bolt].”

An instant after saying that, Roy forced the world’s energy to collide with his aura in many of his blood vessels.

This resulted in the creation of such a massive amount of electric currents that they seeped out of his body and crackled all around him.

He was surrounded by arcs of fierceness that were black in color, and with a single thought, he made them all climb up to his outstretched hand and gather at his palm.

There they fused into one entity and condensed into a palm-sized black bolt.

“Whoosh!”

He swung his hand forward, and it left his side and flashed forward as quickly as lightning.

It was so ridiculously fast that the Moon Reaper only caught sight of a black streak of light before it was no more.

“Boom!” The black lightning bolt struck the monster, causing it to instantly explode into bits, all of which were scorched black. It was not wrong to say that it was blasted to death so fast that it died without knowing what killed it.

The system’s notifications sounded in Roy’s mind.

『Ding! Congratulation. You have killed the chief of the Kirali Clan. You will be handsomely rewarded. You gained STR+3, AGT, +7, Stamina +4, Mana Storage Capacity +20, and +150 EXP.』

『It’s your first time killing a boss type monster above level 15. You will earn an additional reward. You get +60 EXP. 』

『Ding! Congratulations on reaching the third level of the Fake Mage Stage!』

『Loot the corpse of the Elder Tirali to gain extra rewards』

“That’s what I was planning to do.” Roy walked ahead to the spot where the monster’s remains were about to fall.
