Chapter 143 Roy vs Noah (1)

Amelia and Delilah stood up to accompany him.

But when he saw that, he immediately stopped them.

“You two, wait here.”

“But-“

Amelia hadn’t completed what she wanted to say when she was interrupted by Roy.

“That’s an order.”

Standing side by side and pouting miserably, they could only see Roy walk away.

Seeing the troubled youths, Julian cleared his throat and said, “I’ll go and inform Uncle of this. I have a feeling his help will be needed,”

Then… he left the room to them.

The backyard was just behind the manor and was 500+ meters wide with trees surrounding it. The pond Old Roy drowned in was also here. It wasn’t tended by servants, as magic circles took care of its well-being. Noah and Roy appeared here.

They were standing face-to-face with a distance of 15 meters between them.

Noah took out a coin and twirled it between his fingers. “The fight begins when this touches the ground.”

Roy said, “That’s fine with me.”

Immediately after, Noah flipped the coin up in the air, but it rolled down to the ground due to gravity.

“Clink!” The sound of the coin hitting a solid surface in the backyard rang out, and the battle between the two half-brothers started!

“Since you’re a stage lower than me, I will be generous and let you make the first move. Come at me!” Noah said arrogantly.

“Don’t regret it.”

An instant after saying this, Roy dashed towards Noah at breakneck speed; his muscles and bones were in sync with his breath and intentions, and his figure was moving as quickly as a cheetah on the hunt.

“Whoosh!”

He was like a fierce gust as he covered much of the distance separating him from Noah.

But just at that very moment, Noah’s lips thinned into a scheming smile, and he raised his hands above his head.

[Crystal Materialization!]

Immediately, out of thin air, three blocks made of crystal manifested above Noah’s palm, and as his eyes narrowed, one of them followed his will and vibrated so intensely that its surface glitched, and its level of solidity suddenly experienced a change great enough for its creator to change its shape into a javelin that was thrown towards Roy.

“Whoosh!”

The glistening radiance on its triangular edge was flashing menacingly, threatening to pierce through all that existed in its way, but Roy remained fearless in the face of it and even dared to not stop and continue moving forward.

With both moving towards each other, the gap that existed between them vanished in three seconds, resulting in the creation of a scene where it looked like Roy was running to his death and it would pierce him, but just then, he leaned sideways, causing it to brush past him in such a manner that his shirt was torn but not his skin.

His hand shot out in the direction of the javelin and instantly grabbed its handle. That’s what happened before he raised it and smashed it on the ground, snapping it in two halves but also causing crystal splinters to splatter before him.

“Whoosh!”

They were still rolling on the ground when he hurled the broken parts of the javelin with sharp crystal bristles Noah’s way!

By that time, Noah had changed the shape of the other two crystal blocks into spheres with spikes sticking out of them, and like a bossy gangster, with a flick of a finger, he sent both forward and had them block the gift Roy was trying to return to him in the air.

“Believing your opponent’s words,” Noah roared at his younger brother, “How naive can you be?”

“Trust you?” Roy chuckled, “I knew you would play dirty, and I never trusted you. Who would trust a person who wants them dead? But I still charged forward because I was confident that whatever trick you had up your sleeve, I would be able to smash through it with nothing but my strength. And you just saw me overcome your trick.”

“That was just an appetizer. You still need to go through a full course meal!”

An instant after uttering those words from the depth of his throat, Noah swung his hands downward, and the spheres hovering in the air took a plunge like divers jumping out of a plane.

They could be seen coming straight towards Roy.

“You consider something like that food?” Even with the enemy’s attack approaching him quickly from overhead, Roy still found a way to taunt Noah, “What weird tastes you have. I expected nothing less than that from a psycho like you.”

Summoning two swords and gripping their handles, Roy jumped towards the two crystal spheres and swung his weapons towards them in order to stop them from gaining more momentum

“Clang!” Reflection and Ghost Chaser received the crystal spheres head-on with an intense level of ferocity. Noah’s creations were blasted twenty meters away.

Seeing them going in directions opposite to Roy, Noah flapped his hands again, and as a result, their trajectory immediately changed back to Roy.

This didn’t escape Roy’s notice, and he realized that Noah could control their movements and change their trajectory with the movement of his hands.

“I need to immobilize them first and then see how I can turn this situation in my favor.”

Roy waited for the flying sphere to come close, and at the last window of opportunity, just when they were a meter away from him, just when Death’s breath brushed against the back of his nape and made it tingle like Roy’s business, he pushed himself off the ground, jumping in the air.

“Bam!” The crystal balls smashed the area where he had been, raising dusty clouds that colored the air brown.

“Did I get him? Or was it a miss?” Noah wasn’t able to see through all that dust, so he didn’t know how Roy was faring.

Roy landed on the ground just behind the two spheres and put the sword with the white surface away to grab Ghost Chaser with both balls.

“Time to play dead by basketball with my scummy half-brother!”

He raised it before he brought it down and smashed them on the butt of the sphere with such strength that they were blasted out of the dust-covered area and fell towards Noah like two meteorites.

“W-What?” Although shocked to see his own creation endangering his life, Noah swallowed his fear and pushed his hands towards them, reestablishing a broken connection that allowed him to slow them down only a little.

“Stop!” He screamed, and veins popped up on his neck, and his mental connection with them indeed became stronger, but in the end, he was only able to stop one and not even take control of it. As for the other one, it was dropping down on him.

“My own creation won’t be the end of me.”

Noah jumped backwards with all his strength as it crashed on the spot he had just escaped from pathetically.

He was a physically frail mage, so his jump only helped him escape getting squashed like an ant by his own creation by a hairsbreadth and made him fall right next to it.
