The massive tree grew on top of the hill. Its massive trunk towered towards the sky, throwing a shadow all over the fiery hill. Clouds of smoke from the dragon's attack still drifted through the air.

The dragon was flapping his wings high in the sky, yellow light still radiating out of his open mouth.

Soon the heavy smoke dissipated, revealing blackened and broken roots with magma covering and continuously burning them. Pieces of burning wood were lying all over the large blackened swatch of land. The new roots already sprouting from the ash-covered soil, quickly growing in size.

Puddles of orange and yellow glowing magma were everywhere. The heat radiating out of them was distorting the air around them.

Vesuvius quickly analysed the situation as he looked at quickly regrowing roots, 'They are regenerating too fast, and they always shield the trunk. I could try to brute force through them or wait for an opening, but that would take a long time.'

The whole tree trembled, its whole body igniting in bright orange flames that kept licking around its tall trunk. Its flaming leaves swayed as if powerful winds moved them.

In an instant, the damaged roots lashed out towards the dragon hovering in the sky, their massive wooden frames moving with elegance, ash and cinders falling from them as they flew.

'Movement restricting abilities, how annoying.'

A loud explosion shook the forest, the trees swaying as magma and black clouds exploded from the dragon's hands, his body rocketing even higher, easily outrunning the roots flying behind him.

The dragon stabilised high on the black sky out of the root's reach. Large and thick black clouds spread from his body, quickly covering the sky. He pushed mana into his horns, electricity dancing around them with blue and gold sparks flying out.

Massive arcs of lightning crackled in the dark clouds. Dozens of lightning struck across the black sky, and thunderclaps constantly resounded.

More and more yellow flaming spears launched from the tree, flying through the dragon at an immense speed, all of them quickly approaching Vesuvius.

Unbothered, Vesuvius concentrated, orange light flashing all around him as dozens of fireballs kept exploding around his body, flames repeatedly engulfing his hard volcanic armour.

The blue and golden lightning arcs in the sky started to intensify, litting up the dungeon in a blinding light.

Vesuvius fed even more mana into his horns, grasping control over the water and lighting around him as if they were part of his own body. He kept pushing more and more mana into them, the temperature of his body getting higher with every second.

Millions of tiny water droplets dispersed through the air creating a vast veil of water. They were all moving in sync, forming paths in the air as if they were wires.

The lightning started to crackle more and more, blue electrical currents moving through the paths of water, covering the sky in a webbing of lightning.

In the meantime, the massive roots started to wiggle, more and more of them launching out of the burned soil. All of them quickly moved and wrapped around the tree to shield it. A massive dome of twisting roots rapidly grew around the whole tree, bright orange flames blazing out of it, making it look like an enormous fireball.

,m Vesuvius rose up his hand with massive long claws up in a symbolic gesture, his whole body sparking with electricity.

He moved his hand down, and all of the lightning in the sky gathered into a massive thick pillar of lightning that struck towards the sphere of roots.

Blinding blue light flashed, illuminating the whole dungeon and a loud thunderclap resounded through the sky. The powerful soundwave sent all of the clouds moving in a spherical shape.

The lightning struck the sphere of roots, blinding Vesuvius and preventing him from seeing what was happening.

The light soon dissipated, everything turning quiet except for the sound of the dragon's wings flapping in the air.

On top of the hill, where was originally a massive tree, remained only a blackened trunk split in half, pieces of wood were sewn everywhere and a massive black circle spread through the whole hilltop.

Between the two halves of the trunk was a massive orange ball burning in yellow flames with green roots sprouting from it, connecting to the trunk. They were wiggling and pulsing as if they were alive.

Vesuvius looked at it with surprise, 'So you are still alive?'

He flapped his wings, his massive shadow descending towards the remains of the tree, each flap of his wings rising clouds of ash from the ground. His enormous body kept descending, his eyes glowing in greed as they locked with the orb.

The dragon outstretched his arm, his clawed hand moving to grab the orb. The green roots sprouted out, lashing against his armoured fingers.

The claws moved, effortlessly cutting through all of the small roots

His palm closed around the flaming orb and yanked it, severing all of the green roots.

In an instant, darkness spread through the hill as all of the flaming trees extinguished, leaving behind only leafless branches and trunks.

Dozens of notific??ation flooded the corner of his vision, bringing joy with them.

Reading through the massive rewards, the dragon felt his heart beat louder, 'This... Such a large reward just for this. It took me a long time to find fire based dungeon, but it was more than just worth it. This was insane!'

Suddenly he erupted into laughter, "Hahaha, just as I thought the system never counted with someone completing the dungeon so fast on my level, I probably broke its rewards multipliers.'
