[The Way to Spend Summer Vacation]

A few days after the water magic practical.

There was no change in our daily lives.

Raul trained under Holy Knight Klaus and was now able to control the power of the Demon Sword.

At first, the other students shunned Raul because he was from the slums, possessed the Demon Sword, and had even gone berserk once. However, they gradually came to know his cheerful and positive personality and understood that they’d gotten him wrong the whole time, and now they were treating him warmly.

Jarvis was still living as a boy.

Tayte, on the other hand… well, she was as cute as always.

Tayte always had a heartfelt smile on her face.

In the original storyline, she became a member of Raul’s harem, but by the latest chapters, it seemed almost as if her sense of presence was completely gone—however, the Tayte here was completely different.

She looked like she was having fun all the time.

I swore I’d do anything to protect her smile.

No other incidents had occurred since the attack on the night of the ball.

The academy was still continuing its investigation, but nothing useful had turned up so far. I’d been keeping tabs on Mr. Timmons, but he didn’t seem to have made any suspicious movements, either.

In which case… was the attack the doing of the original storyline’s antagonist organization?

No, it hadn’t even made an appearance in the original storyline, it was fully possible that it didn’t even exist, to begin with. As far as it went, it was only my assumption, after all.

The other thing that had been on my mind was—the fifth member of the hero party.

So far I’d had no luck with finding her.

I’d searched around the academy on my own, but there was no girl named Eureka among the students, staff, and any people with related access to the academy.

Who on earth was she?

I wanted to meet her as soon as possible… but being impatient wouldn’t do me any good. Let’s be patient.

As long as nothing bad happened, it wouldn’t matter, anyway.

What mattered the most to me was for Tayte to spend her days in happiness, everything else was secondary.

Which meant, summer vacation was just around the corner.

“Barrett, you have any plan for the vacation?”

I got a feeling that Jarvis had been waiting for us to exit the classroom.

“Ah, er, you mean summer vacation, right? Well, I’m planning to go to my family’s villa.”

“Ah, Tayte is going to come along with me.”

I wondered if Jarvis was feeling under the weather.

“Yes, for three nights and four days.”

“Wha?!” Jarvis’s eyes widened.

After some moments of silence…

“…Where is the villa?”

“On the shores of the lake east of here.”

“What’s the lake’s name?”

“Uh, if I’m not mistaken… it was Lake Sarias.”

“Lake Sarias…”

As soon as she heard the name of the lake, Jarvis put her right hand on her chin thoughtfully, and then she walked away.

“? What’s up with her?”

“Could it be that Jarvis wanted to go too?”

“Hmm, maybe.”

Speaking of, only Tayte and I knew that Jarvis was a girl. With that being the case, we may be the only ones she could spend time together with without worry. Maybe she had wanted to invite us to play somewhere during summer vacation.

“Well, let’s have fun together just the two of us this time. I want to properly admire you in a swimsuit.”

“P-please stop it with the teasing!”

While she might sound angry, Tayte had a bashful smile on her face.

Ngghh, I couldn’t wait to go to the villa!
