630 Lew's House Study Group ② - Stock and Oil

Name:Isekai Ryouridou Author:Eda
Upon returning to Luu's settlement after completing the stall business, there was already a rich scent of stewed Kimmus bone gala.

Even if it's not as powerful as Gibba's, Kimmus' Bone Gala is also an ingredient that exudes quite intense aromas. Yet today, because of the wind direction, we set foot in the square and were to be greeted by the pressure of its scent.

"Thank you very much, Michelle. Guide today, please."

That's how I greeted him at the Kamadu cabin in the main house, based on the fragrance.

Michelle, who was stirring the contents of the iron pan, looks around at us with the usual grumpy face.

"Holy shit, that's a lot of people today. It's going to be hard for all of them to get into this."

Sixteen regular employees combined with four trainees made a total of twenty justices. Plus, I joined Tia on the table, so another one probably adds up.

Then Barsha, who was peering into the iron pan from Michelle's place, looked up.

"If I were sitting there, I'd be disturbed. Let's split some firewood outside."

"No, if one Barsha leaves, this number won't be possible. Why don't you just take it easy on the outside?

In Kamado Cabin, only five people, including Mother Meer Ray and Sheila-Lou, were encouraging us to go down for tomorrow. It certainly seemed impossible to hold a study group indoors, as you should want Michelle to do the same.

So Michelle's stewed iron pan will be transported to the outdoor kamado, and we'll start working on it. The women of Dana looked at her strangely.

"Um, do you fulfill the bottom line for tomorrow on this occasion? I was wondering if those jobs would take place at Fa's house..."

"Ah, yes. What we do on this occasion is about cutting meat and preparing a little underneath. That's why they keep commercial meats and ingredients at the Lew's."

"Really? But even on the day the study group takes place at the Lou's, the Dana and Havilla ladies are supposed to be on their way to Fa's house at noon, right? For the moment, I think the three of us who didn't go down to town are headed to Fa's house..."

"Yeah, you should be working there. I leave it to the Fou women to make things like curry vegetables and dry pasta."

Interacting like that, Tour-Din rushed over in a rushed fashion.

"Shh, excuse me. Seems my words weren't enough. We should have explained it more clearly."

"What are you talking about? There is no sin in Tour-Din. I cannot understand it in a single explanation. I have no sin."

"No, no, nothing is such a fuss story. Everyone in Dana and Havilla will have difficulty grasping the flow of the day because they are not yet in the habit of moving at the time of the day clock"

I smiled and put it that way in order to fool the two of them.

"Keep up the good work and listen to anything you wonder. Now let's finish this job."

I felt like I could see just how considerate these two names were of you. Tour-Din also seems to be steadily deepening ties with his blood clan, as far as I'm happy.

After all the work you've done, it's time for Michelle to move on.

As we walked out of Kamadu's cabin, people from the Lou family who finished their work first surrounded the outdoor kamadu.

"With this number of people, you're cramped out there. The people in front bow down and let the people behind you see."

When Mother Meer Ray gave her stiff instructions, the preceding people broke my knee.

In it, Rayna-Lew smiles back at me.

"Asta, please, up front. It would be inconvenient to exchange words with Michelle in that place, wouldn't it?

"Yeah, thanks"

To Michelle, who stood beside Kama, I let her walk. Mime, who had been allowed to stir the iron pan, grinned.

In the meantime, Michelle was sighing as she looked around at the people who had stopped by.

"Now you're all of them, right? It's a lot of noise."

"Thank you so much for today. Once again, let me thank you, Michele."

"Well, the people of the woods owe me more than I can repay."

Saying on the top of the Buddha, Michele took up a leather bag at his feet.

"Well, I'll explain. This guy bought it in the meat city in the morning, it's Kimmus skin."

The skin of the Kimmus removed from the leather bag is spread over it. The colour is light peach and the size is not even 30 cm square. Kimmus is a small beast that can't be a rabbit or a duck. The skin didn't have a beautiful square either, and the shape of the foot could be seen at the bottom.

"Oh... that seems to be the skin of Kimmus without a shadow"

I could hear Yun-Sudra crushing with a strangely choppy voice. She was the one who saw the living Kimmus with those eyes at the tour of Dalaim. It was quite a humorously shaped Kimmus.

Without knowing such a complicated mood of Yun-Sudra, Michele overlaps words.

"As you can see, when they sell it in town, they peel off their nokimi feathers, so there's nothing troublesome about cooking. All you have to do is chop this guy up and set him on fire."

"When you do, can you take that stunning stock, which was used in Varcus' dishes?

Raina-Lou, arranged in the front row, raises a question with a seriously-inspired look.

"Hmm," Michelle snorted as she looked sideways at you.

"I didn't see or say that dish, so I can't say for sure. But did Varcus himself state that he used the skin and bones of Kimmus?

"Yes, I did state that"

"So, if the broth was golden, now there's no mistake. The oil taken from the skin of Kimmus is golden."

"Oil? Isn't it stock?

"It's the bone that takes the stock, it's the skin that takes the oil. You and I are taking the fat out of Giva's skin, right? Just think of it as something like that."

That said, Michelle flipped the skin of that hand.

"But as you can see, Kimmus doesn't have fat stuck behind his skin. The fat in this skin needs to be carefully squeezed out.... mime"

"Yes," nodded Mim, receiving skin from Michelle's hand. Apparently, before we got here, we had a meeting to work on.

Baton touch the iron pan stirring on Michele and Mime settles his hips on the rug at his feet. There, slabs and cooking knives were prepared.

With those instruments, Mim slices the skin of Kimmus thoroughly.

It is roughly five centimetres square in size and has a mixed shape. Immediately after the work, Mim transferred the cut Kimmus skin into an unused single-handed pan.

Outdoors are provided with two kamados, so place the one-handed pan in an empty space. And the fire was also lit on its face.

"I see. Instead of simmering in water, you keep it on fire. Indeed, the procedure seems to be similar to when making Giva La Dora."

"Mm-hmm. Bake in a slightly stronger fire at first, and when the color changes, flip it. Nothing is difficult."

The fragrant scent of burning skin is all over the area. Besides, there was plenty of oil already from the start, playing a good tone of puffiness and economy.

"I don't know, you smell hungry! Sounds a lot different than Gibba Noodle!

Rimi-Lou, stuck in Raina-Lou and Sheila-Lou, is giving a sneering voice. Behind it, Malfira-Naham stared at the iron pan so that it could eat in.

"Dad, it looks like you're getting all tinted up. Can I flip it now?

"Oh, they'll fit in by now. If you flip it, keep the fire weak."

"Copy that!"

Mim used a wooden bell to flip the skin of Kimmus, pulling out some of the burning firewood outwards.

"And then we wait for the oil to come out. Time's about four and a half minutes. … be aware that burning here will transfer the scent to the oil"

"Yeah, okay.... Wow, you're starting to feel like you're frying your skin in oil."

Mim looked very entertaining while following Michelle's instructions. This is what Mim always looks like when Michelle receives a role as a guide. I'm sure you're sincerely proud of the esteemed father for such a role.

"Speaking of which, those skins were peeled from Kimmus' flesh, right? Do I have to buy every piece of Kimmus skin?

Speaking that way was Yun-Sudra. Michelle twists you as she takes the ash juice from the bone gallows.

"Looks like the only way to get the skin in Inn Town is to buy every piece of meat. But with Tsutsu in Castle Town, you can only buy skins from there."

"Really? The people by the woods do not like the meat of beasts that are not gibberish, so that would be helpful.... but it's still a value thing, isn't it?

I could have answered that question.

"The skin of Kimmus is surprisingly sturdy, and just like the skin of Karon, it's processed into leather goods. So we're talking about skin and meat that can be removed from one kimmus being traded for the same price."

"Really? How much is that, exactly?

"If you're a little Kimmus, it looks like three red copper coins each, one piece of meat and one piece of skin. But this is the price of the bulk purchase, so if you buy it normally, it's six times the price."

When I looked back because I heard a strange voice called "Guuuuu," Malfira-Naham was shaking its length even though he relied on it.

"Oh, oh, are you six red copper coins? So, so, I could buy out every meat today, so I'm supposed to pay 12 red copper coins as well?

"No, actually, today, I've been working with Luu and Fa to buy every box in bulk. So six red copper coins combined with meat and skin."

"Oh, yeah..."

Malfira-Naham breathed relieved.

Then this time, Lily-Lavitz, who was smiling softly instead, raises his voice.

"But if you can buy it in a box, that's going to be a lot of the price. Giva meat and so on, you would do 90 to 150 red copper coins in a single box, right?

"Yes. Kimmus skinned meat was just 90 red copper coins in one box, too. Originally, Giva meat was supposed to be twice the price of Kimmus skinless meat, so it looks like the form fits."

"I see...... so will the house of Fa and Luu continue to eat that Kimmus meat for a while? Or will you throw the meat away as unnecessary? Asta said there's no use for meat in the morning, right?

"Yeah, all we needed was skin and bone gallows, so we have a commitment to take the bulky meat to the Inn in the Inn Town."

In my reply, Lily-Ravitz said, "Really?," he tilted his neck.

"But selling the meat I could have bought in the lodging town to others was like it was a sin under the laws of Genos...... was this my mistake?

"No, because that was a law that forbids people who bought in bulk from selling in small pieces to make profit, they're not guilty of selling it out at the right price. We checked the area well in advance."

Exactly, Lily-Lavitz was impressed with the sharp spot he was going to poke at, and I let him answer that.

"If not, even if it took some time, we would have only been able to buy out Kimmus skin in Castle Town. Even if there were a lot of copper coins, there was no way I could buy meat that I wouldn't eat."

"Really?" Lily-Lavitz smiled a lot.

"I'm sorry I broke your hip about the story. Please keep talking."

"Yes. To sum up, Kimmus' skin is three red copper coins for one. And this time, you'll have bought about fifteen wings for Lew and Fa."

"One piece of skin is the amount of skin that's cooked there right now, right? Then it's still a lot of value."

Yun-Sudra is breathing unfortunately. Speaking of three red copper coins, it must still be expensive because it is the price for fifteen arias.

"Well, if we were to use it, it would be a feast dish after all. If I could use this to complete the dish that I deserve for a feast dish, my parents would allow me to buy it too."

"Right. I hope I can cook as brilliant as that Varcus dish... Oh, but I was wondering, like Mim, if that dish doesn't need the sweetness or sourness of fruit"

"Yeah. If the people by the woods are going to say it, we need to use it as a giva dish."

While such an exchange was taking place, one hand pan was extracted with a great deal of oil.

At this point, the oil can be seen glittering in gold. Peeping into the pan, Michelle nodded, "Okay."

"So, that's the last procedure. Put Meermoo here to get rid of the smell of oil"

When Mim put in the mummy mummy she had cut for the first time, the puffiness and oil bounced around exactly like a fried food dish. And the effect of Myrmu, which resembles garlic, leads to an aroma that stimulates the appetite center.

"Don't ever scorch this, either. Because the flavor of Kimmus oil is life. When the smell of burning shifts, it's not worth bothering to make it"

"Yeah, okay"

The expression is flamboyant, the glance is serious in itself, and Mim is manipulating the woodcutter. Raina-Lou and the others in the front row were staring at its contents with their necks up diligently.

"When the heat hits Myrmu until he's on the verge of burning, that's it. Prepare the iron net while you can."

"Yes, roger that."

The necessary equipment was on the rug, so I set it up.

In order to be quite a weak fire, it also seems that Meermoo needs the right amount of time to color. Mim pulled up Kimmus' skin and Myrmu over the iron net after about ten minutes had elapsed in my physical senses.

Both the skins of Kimmus and Myrmu are dry to crunch, leaving a glittering oil in a one-handed pan. After the crude heat was removed, filtering it with an iron mesh and a filter cloth removed the impurities and produced a golden sparkle that was not mixed.

"Oh, this scent alone reminds me of the Varcus cuisine.... I just don't think Varcus was using Myrmu"

To Rayna-Lew's words, Michelle shrugged her jaw, "I guess".

"If it is Varcus, it is decided to take the odor away with a more attentive vanilla. If you don't want to rely on Myrmu, you can ask for your own vanilla."

"First, you have to know what this oil tastes like."

Prepared for this was the stock of Kimmus bone gala.

Michelle, who had taken the ash juice in mind until the end, said, "Okay," and looked up.

"It looks like this one is finished too, so remove the stock gala. I'd like to say hello to a man who's overpowered."

"Well, it's like I've been named."

When Barsha, who was pulling in behind him, gave him his name, the trainee Min women also rose. The women were also quite physical.

Filter the contents of a boiled iron pan for hours, so this one is quite a heavy labor, and still sticks to the risk of burns. But both of those names were perfectly unsafe and did the work.

Only Aria is used to remove odors because Kimus' bone gala does not smell as strong as Giva's bone gala. First, bone gala and aria were left over the iron net, and then a filter cloth was used.

In the process, "Ah," Raina-Lou speaks up.

"Michele, that broth... doesn't seem white and cloudy"

"Oh. That's how I finished it, naturally."

"But didn't you say there was nothing new to teach about the treatment of Kimmus' bones?

When Raina-Lou overlapped the words, Sheila-Lou smiled at you.

"Raina-Lou, those steps I have given you a tour. Michelle's right, there's nothing special about it. … it's just that the fires are different."

"Fire?"

"Yes, this iron pan has been simmering over low heat for a long time after the bubble was first placed on high heat"

I snapped "I see" by accident.

Then Rayna-Lew just turns back towards me.

"Did Asta know how to cook this?

"Yeah. Even in my hometown, there were two ways to take stock from bone gallows: low and high."

That is how to take stock, called fresh and white water. We used to use a method of white water to finish with high heat, both Gibba's and Kimmus's.

"Finishing with low heat doesn't melt out bone marrow or fat, so you can take this kind of clear stock. So, the clear stock has an elegant, refreshing taste, and the white, cloudy stock has a rich, powerful taste."

"I see... is that why Asta has handed us the method of finishing with a high fire?

"Yeah. And you would have originally used Giva's bone gala, not Kimmus, right? So I figured it would be better to narrow down the fat and bone marrow carefully to suit the tastes of the forest people."

"That's for sure, I guess you're right. Yes, that's why I think Gibba Bone Soup is delightful to many of his compatriots."

As he was finally convinced, Raina-Lou bowed his head.

"I apologize in the middle of a handful. Please continue."

"Keep going, all you have to do is mix these up"

Saying on the top of the Buddha, Michelle took up a small pot that had been placed on the rug.

"This tastes just like what you guys usually use in Giva bone broth. Add sugar and gnatta distillery to the tau oil and simmer."

It is a sauce that is flavored with bone glass soup. When it was thrown into the stock of bone gala, which was originally yellowish, the soup had a strong brown colour flavour.

"I would add Kimmus oil to this, but that would be better individually. Divide into each wood dish and add one cup at a time with this spoon."

The caterer decided that me and Mim would take it and spin the wood plates on the people.

At Michelle's behest, the soup is fairly small. The amount of oil is small, so I guess that's about right. When I threw Kimmus oil into the brown soup, the oil film immediately stretched out on the surface and shimmered.

It is not a pork bone, but the appearance and aroma of ramen soup finished exclusively with chicken gallows.

That didn't freshly upset me.

Hand out the wood dishes to everyone, and then I'll have to face my own too.

It is an amount that you can almost take in one bite. I threw that hot soup in my mouth with a wooden spoon.

"Oh... this is delicious"

To my words, Sheila-Lou says yes.

"Besides, this tastes exactly like the dishes served by Varcus. I wonder if adding some vanilla to this and reducing the amount of tau oil would get much closer to the same flavor"

Raina-Lou also nodded, "Right," with a serious look on his face.

"And I wonder if Varcus would have used a lot more oil. I think this fragrant flavor was stronger"

"Right. If you put so much oil in it, you'll have a bad chest, so maybe you're using a lot of vanilla to ease that."

"Delicious," Rimi-Lou chuckles, trapped in a heated conversation between Raina-Lou and Sheila-Lou.

And behind it, I saw Malfira-Naham desperately in tears of emotion.

Other than that, Kamadoku's faces are expressions of surprise and joy.

In it, the women of Dhana spoke out loud.

"Um, I think this, too, is very tasty. It's just that it's supposed to be a dish made of giva bones and oil, right? How did a beast named Kimmus use bones and oil today?

Michelle is silent and has turned her gaze towards me.

I guess the idea is that it's not my role to explain it. I'm one. I nodded, and then I decided to answer her doubts.

"In Fa's nearest families and in the Lou family, this Kimmus bone gala soup is mixed with Giva bone gala soup. That way you can make it taste as deep as you can."

"Oh, was that what happened? I felt like our parents would complain if we didn't use Giva using all the other beasts... then I'm relieved"

"Yes, now you can finish the Gibba Bone Soup again."

I answered like that and then I looked back at Michelle.

"Whatever it is, it's great to call this Kimmus oil. If you use it to fry meat and vegetables instead of just putting them in a juice dish, wouldn't it be a lot more effective again?

"Hmm. It's oil in the first place, so it would be the main road to use to bake ingredients? … but the oil squeezed from the beast is easily reconciled with the stock of the beast's bones. Varcus must have laid eyes on it."

"Right. I would also like to start by thinking about the use in juice dishes.... So I'm talking to you, is it possible for a human to speak of the egg shell of Kimmus?

Michelle said, "What?" He frowned, and his eyes were uniformly round as if they surrounded us.

"That's another, much more abrupt offer. What kind of dish do you use egg shells for?

"I want to work into Poitan and Fuwano fabrics. Then you expect to be able to make more cosy noodles than pasta."

Kamado and the others are deliberately obsessed.

In it, Rimi-Lou raised his voice, "But Sa."

"The egg shell is hard on the chicken, isn't it? If you ate that, you'd get caught in the throat, wouldn't you?

"Yeah. So you squeeze it up, flour it, and then mix it in a poiton or fuwano. That's gonna add more teeth, isn't it?

"Hmm, I can't imagine at all!

Saying cheerfully, Rimi-Lou was blinking his eyes to curiosity.

Michelle, at the top of the Buddha, has a disappointing head.

"In Castle Town, there were no cooks using egg shells either. Or it must have been spoken of as medicine in the old days."

"Really? Well, I'd like to try the egg shell, too."

That's what I said, and I looked back at Mother Meer Ray.

"Um, if there's any extra Kimmus eggs here, I'd like to buy them off, wouldn't you?

"Oh, I just recently bought some extra, and I have a bunch of them left. Spend as much as you need."

"Thank you. Well, I'll just go over there and do some research."

"Wait. You should eat this guy before you get to your next job."

And Michelle offered me a wooden dish.

If anything, it is a shell of skins squeezed with the oil of Kimmus. It looks like salt is covered on a skin that has been baked and shrunk.

"There may not be much nourishment left, but this and the fine ingredients. Make sure it tastes good."

"Got it. Thank you."

I had nothing to do with it, and I let him carry it to my mouth.

Then, the unexpected delicacy spreads into my mouth. The crunchy roasted chimus skin was very fragrant and quite flavorful and textured.

Meermoo, who was also burned together, further stimulates the appetite center. It was more like a snack treat than a dish.

"Oh, this is delicious. I don't drink, but I think it's perfect for a knob."

"Well, some people in Castle Town can buy skins for more than oil."

After stating so, Michelle glanced over at the numbers as if to surround us.

"Don't look at me like I want so much. We're going to burn so much skin that we can all talk at the end of the day."

"Haha. Everybody smells like burning Kimmus' skin, and my stomach must be totally noisy. It was even mixed with the smell of Myrmu, so it's even more so."

Meer Ray's mother laughs delightfully. Some of the young ladies looked a little embarrassed.

What a peaceful, full time.

In order to make it more fruitful, I was also in possession of a slight force.
