355 Easter Castle Town ③ - Castle Town Cook

Name:Isekai Ryouridou Author:Eda
These are my three dishes.

It was Timaro who raised his voice with exasperation.

In the empty space of the table, new plates are brought in one after the other.

"This is a black fuwano juice dish, this is a black fuwano dumpling dish, and this is a vegetable vinegar pickled dish made with white mammalian vinegar"

"Well, this is interesting again"

The people of Banaam are happily speaking up.

The subtle air brought from Varcus was also completely wiped out by then thanks to Roy. Both Raina-Lou and Sheila-Lou stare at Timaro's cuisine with a quiet face.

So, it's that Timaro dish.

The juice dish apparently had black fuwano flour punctured as it was, with a dark gray loose stew-like finish. The difficulty is that it looks a bit like muddy water, but fortunately the aroma is great. It looks like spicy shim vanilla or some kind of seafood is used on it.

A dough dish is a stewed dish in which black fuwano dough is served with meat and vegetables. The dough is about the size of a ping-pong ball and the color is still dark gray. The meat was thinly sliced carons and the vegetables could be confirmed by Ma Guigo for now when it was paprika and Ma Pra and Satoimo. Those ingredients are covered in thick milky white broth.

And the vinegar-pickled dish was filled with various vegetables in a moist, translucent liquid. This is Zucchini Chan, Carrot Nennon, Cabbage Tino, and Dickon Shima.

"Hmm. This is the powder of the fuwano thrown as it is."

A few members of the mission rarely watch a juicy dish divided into small names. It is likely to start sniffing the scent with my nose.

"Instead of baking or boiling the fuwano, it's novel to use it as it is. I can't imagine the flavor at all."

"Well, let's have it"

Along with Wellhide's voice, three of the banners carried the same dish to their mouths.

The reactions vary.

Wellhide slightly frowned, the old man opened his eyes and Fuchi grinned at the full face.

"I don't know... this tastes hard to explain"

"Yeah, I was very surprised"

"But isn't it quite delicious"

I'm sure they're not as used to complex flavoring as the nobles of Genos. To sympathize with that surprise, I decided to take my mouth off the juice dish, too.

The first thing I felt was tingling pain. I must be using chit fruit and another two or so herbs. It also has a slight acidity.

The flavor of seafood I felt in the aroma was apparently crustacean, similar to sweet shrimp called mallow. Whether it was used as stock or rinsed, I can't feel the texture of the meat but the smell is quite strong.

In addition, sugar and tau oil are probably used. Sweetness and salt gas are quite strong. It has a complex flavour that is reminiscent of Thai cuisine, with spicy and sour flavours that add Japanese sweetness.

So, because black fuwano flour, similar to flour and soba flour, is put in exactly, the juice is quite powdery, and its complex flavors and flavors pass through the mouth in a cursory motion. To put it badly, it's persistent, and if you put it well, taste the aftertaste, and so on.

So the ingredients were impressed with the maybe loin of caron meat and then the shimmering texture of Tino on Ma Pra. Other than that, it seemed to be used around Chang and Rohyoi and Ma Guigo, but they have melted and disintegrated into the soup in terms of texture, which would be a good stock.

"Uhm. The flavor is impeccable. But, come on, it's not as comfortable to eat as it gets caught in the throat."

When Marstein commented that way, Timaro drooped his head "yes".

"That will be the difference from the normal white fuwano. If it's white fuwano, the throat will be a little smoother, but its flavor and flavor will soon fall out."

"I see. Well, with tea and booze, nothing's inconvenient."

A small surname sneaks in without sound and pours white mammalian liquor into a glass that has been emptied by the Marquis.

"This dough dish is fantastic with teeth. Is this because of the black fuwano too?

And, Polearth speaks with a smile.

"Yes, what separates black fuwano from white fuwano is its texture and slight flavor. Flavors are easily eliminated by vanilla and so on, so it's up to me to think that it's still best if you enjoy the difference in texture."

"Yeah, I'm sure this is a difficult flavor to produce in White Fuwano. I like it very much."

Then I decided to mouth the same dish.

The fuwano dough is simmered too, so even if you try stabbing it with a silver fork, the palate is soft. When I let the guy covered in milky broth go round in my mouth, the sweetness of the caron milk and panam honey spread first into my mouth.

Karon milk is probably used in broth and Panam honey is condensed into fuwano dough. After all, I can feel the salt gas from the tau oil and the flavor like pacchii. The broth was firmly stuck in the dough, so they mixed with the sweetness of the honey and spread the rich and complex flavor in my mouth again.

So, as Polearth admired it, even though this much broth was smoked, Fuwano's dough crumbled easily through his throat when he snapped. If it was white fuwano or poitan, it must have had a more sticky texture and remained persistently in my mouth.

In just about any juice, the roughness of the black fuwano flour particles is friction, and in this dough dish, on the contrary, it creates a light texture. I twisted the exact opposite effect by using it as powder or finishing it as a dough. The idea seemed quite unique to me.

"What about Dali-Souti, the chief by the woods? I know that the dishes of Genos don't really fit the mouth of the people by the woods, but I'd like to have a frank opinion on them."

Called on by Malstein, Dari-Sautti, who had been quiet all along, raised his face.

"I don't like this juice. The one named this dough can be said without force... but it is still hard to tell if it tastes good or not. First of all, we don't have Giva's meat, so we can lift ourselves up like we don't feel enough."

"Hmm. But when you were eating Asta's fried Lillione dish, you felt a lot more satisfied."

The fried lilyone dish is a fried river fish made for tartare sauce. Dari-Sautti blinked his eyes in a vain manner.

"I wonder if I would have looked that satisfied.... but sure, that was fish meat, not giva, but it felt so delicious"

"Mm-hmm. Because that fried dish was certainly excellent, too.... but the food is excellent for the people of Genos, Timaro."

"I'm honored to have overstated you," Timaro finally bows his head.

"This vinegar-pickled vegetable also has a strange taste. I find no meat anywhere, but I feel strongly about the flavor of meat."

I say yes to Tolst's words with a smile. Timaro was full of confidence today.

"That's not only white mammalian vinegar, but also caron fat melted together. We pride ourselves on bringing out a different flavour than the red mammalian vinegar pickle."

Either way, I'll put my hands on the last dish.

but all this didn't fit my mouth a bit.

The translucent thick liquid was precisely a fusion of white mammalian vinegar and caron fat. Can you imagine it more clearly if you describe it as a mixture of vinegar and beef fat? It seems that other herbs are used, but the presence of vinegar and fat was too intense to discern properly.

Moreover, he is carefully marinated and fermented, and the vegetables themselves have a strong acidity. So the meat flavor or even the greasy, snug flavor overlaps, so it was not difficult to get through the throat.

Looking down at the straw all the time, it seems that Tour-Din, who said the same thing, is getting nagging with tears in his eyes. When I rushed out to offer him a glass of tea, Tour-Din forced him to swallow the contents of his mouth with it, and then "Aww," he gave them their only voice.

"Are you okay? 'Cause you're not gonna be able to talk about it anymore, are you?

When I whispered sneakingly, Tour-Din snapped in tears, "Thank you......"

"I wonder how the Raina-Lou guys were? It's a lot of crackling to talk about Timaro's cooking."

"Right...... I still don't think it's delicious to let go, but I'm getting a slightly different impression back then"

Rayna-Lew responds in a whisper.

"I mean, it seems understandable what that cook named Timaro is up to. I'm sure that's because I found out what Varcus tastes like."

"Yeah, I guess I'm in a similar mood. It feels like there's a Vulcan ahead of Timaro."

Then I asked Eurifia, "What is it?" I was called upon to.

"If there's anything you want to think, it's something we need to hear too. For that reason, Asta and the others are making sure the food tastes good on this occasion, right?

"Oh no... well, the texture is still unique about black fuwano, so I think Timaro's cuisine is great to get the most out of it"

"Hmm? So what about Varcus?

Varcus puts the dish filled with juice on the table.

"I don't have a particular idea."

"Oh, are you unhappy with Timaro's cooking?

"If you're asked if you're dissatisfied or satisfied, of course you're dissatisfied. And being used with rare ingredients in this way is very unwillingness."

Timaro's smile caught my eye.

"Lord Varcus will not acknowledge my dishes for once. So many different ways and preferences."

"Whatever the method, delicious food is delicious. And I think that your cooking is never far from my manipulation. … so the inability to do so is also noticeably noticeable."

"You think my cooking is so impossible?

"I can't. If I were you, I wouldn't use sugar in this juicy dish. If you wanted sweetness, you would have used minmi or lamam fruit. Besides, Mallory is not enough flavor, so I think we used seagrass and fish smoke together."

Again in a blurry tone, Vulcus begins to say harrowing words.

"Med's vanilla is not required when it comes to dough dishes. It was very uncomfortable with the sweetness and bumps of Panem honey. So you should have used sugar and milk fat for the broth."

"Well, doesn't that just make it sweet?

"That dish deserves about the sweetness and saltiness. Adding flavor in vain will just disrupt harmony"

Timaro suddenly, Vulcus cools more and more in inverse proportion to it.

"Vinegar pickling of vegetables, for example, doesn't even have to be argued. What does it mean to use caron fat for that dish? I'm just saying it's rare, and it's even making it taste bad. If so, it's just better to soak the vegetables in white mammalian vinegar"

"Varcus, I don't know if that's enough."

And, again, Refraia raised her elbow voice.

"I'm so tired of hearing about your interactions, but I'm sure the rest of you will."

Varcus thanked her for not seeming to have any emotions.

Timalo, who still tries to speak up, is suppressed with his gaze, and then Refraia looks around at the VIP people.

"Varcus and Timaro were both cooks serving the Count Turan family. Since then, they've been obsessed with each other like this. I don't have the muscle to explain that I'm no longer my husband, but please include that such a cause exists."

The people of Banaam and others raised their voices like they were impressed with "hahaha......" for their perseverance that did not suit their childhood.

This is how young and deserted Refraia can take care of herself in public. And it never occurred to me that her taking the initiative from herself in this way would be a good change for herself.

"A well-armed cook is a strong sense of complacency. If I hadn't, I would have brought the chief chef of the castle, but it still seemed right to think about it."

Without hesitation, Malstein also said such words.

"So shall we finally indulge in Vulcan cuisine? You must be preparing a dish that will greatly entertain us because it speaks so much."

The small names bring in a new basin. What was on there was a large plate covered with a fishing bell-shaped lid for thermal insulation.

What emerged from under its lid was a round roast of aromatically baked chimus.

But it's not a regular whole grill. The Kimmus had a completely pitch-black hue until the blur.

We had already seen that strange figure in the cook, but most of the first visible aristocrats were shouting surprises.

"What is it, that dish? I guess it doesn't mean it's too much on fire and it's burning..."

"This will be a dish made with black fuwano and gigigi vanilla....... Siri-Low"

"Yes," he nodded, and Siri-Low approached that plate. Apparently it's her job to cut that meat apart.

Using the prepared meat cutting knife and iron skewer of the lowest surname, Siri-Low indulges in cutting the meat of Kimmus. What emerged from beneath the black epidermis was a glossy, thin peach flesh.

Siri-Low carefully cut the black skin across all the meat.

Then, I soak up the broth that I still want to heat from the little pot that my last name has newly carried, and hang it on the meat I cut it into.

"Thank you for waiting. Enjoy."

Siri-Low quickly retreats, and his last name splits the dish into small plates. The kimmus was pretty big, but only a very small amount goes by for thirty people.

It is a wonderful dish because of its aroma.

There is a complex teasing of the sweet and spicy aroma of tau oil, the fragrant smell of roasted meat, and the spicy aroma of multiple herbs. It was such a fascinating aroma that it would further revitalize the stomach that has been quite filled.

When I mouthed that dish, I said, "Um, this is -" and even Malstein couldn't keep saying it.

Other nobles and ladies have also raised their voices of admiration. It was about Melfried and Arishna who remained calm on the surface alone.

Listening to those voices, I put my hands up on that plate, too.

I accidentally let one of them into my mouth, which was also filled with all the chips.

The surface is crunchy.

Plus, like the last fish dish, I guess I'm applying multiple thin clothes while broiling them. The tenderness of the meat and the fragrance of the epidermis were exquisite.

Kimus tastes as pale as scissors everywhere. Its simple meat taste is intricately coloured with black clothes.

The strongest feeling was the sweetness and spiciness.

Neither, however, can quite tell what the flavor is derived from. The flavor of Panem honey was felt, but the mellow sweetness of the fruit is also added there. Even with a little sweetness, the flavor is that deep.

Spicy would be the effect of vanilla. It was not very spicy, but a twitchy, tongue-inducing taste.

And the broth hung later must be based on white mammalian vinegar. Its distinctive flavors and acidity go hand in hand with the sweetness and spiciness of the black coat, creating a wonderful synergy.

When I concentrated further to ascertain the flavour, there was an odd flavour behind it.

It was a unique bitterness, likely overlooked if unconscious.

At first I also thought it was a fragrant flavor of baked clothes and skins, but apparently it's not. A strange bitterness that reminded me of something like cocoa was at the core of this dish.

Is this some kind of vanilla, too? Tastes I don't remember.

Even though it is a whispering flavor that is likely to be mistaken for the aroma of burning, once you are aware of it, you can see that this bitterness is tightening the flavor. The sweetness, spiciness, acidity and saltiness even caught me in such a sensation that it is brought together in one by this bitterness.

"... the skin of Kimmus is black because it is wrapped in black fuwano flour and gigigi vanilla"

Vulcan's voice sounds quiet.

"Gigi's vanilla is difficult to handle, but I never managed to reconcile it with black fuwano or white mammalian vinegar. The black fuwano and gigigi coat is also accompanied by grated lamb and lettuce oil, tau oil, caron milk, and herbs such as salfal, and the broth is made with white mammalian vinegar and liquor, panam honey, lamampa fruit, etc."

Listening to the words, I tried to soften only the transparent broth.

I do feel the taste of the ingredients as I was told. I guess fruit liquor is only used to the point of being concealed. It has an accentuated taste of acidity and sweetness, based on white mammalian vinegar.

So, when I peeled only one piece of black clothing from the area not hit by that broth and tasted it, now I felt the bitterness clearly.

I'm sure this is the bitterness of a vanilla called Gigi.

The black fuwano is grey-brown in the first place, so I guess this black shade was also brought from Gigi's vanilla.

I can barely feel the taste and salt gas of tau oil in other things, but I'm not sure about lambs, caron milk, etc. However, the smooth sweetness is clearly felt beyond the pain. Besides, without broth, the tingling spiciness sticks up my tongue. This dish is the first time that the flavors of broth and clothes are combined.

"... even the meat of Kimmus that doesn't taste so good will be flavored to this point if it falls on Varcus"

Rayna-Lew whispered that way in a whisper that only I could hear.

"I was kind of reminded of the difference with myself again. I'm ashamed to have served such unproductive dishes."

"No, I guess those dishes are still unfinished for the Rayna-Lew's, too? I'm the one who suggested I reveal it."

"Still, it makes no difference that I am immature"

Worried I peered into Rayna-Lew's side, but she wasn't depressed, she was burning into a fighting spirit.

And Sheila-Lou also comes face to face from the other side.

"I'm sure this flavoring won't go with giva or caron meat either. I think this is a flavor that can be made because it is Kimmus meat. … If we can also lay our flavors one by one and cook such delicious dishes with giva meat, we will surely have immense joy"

"Yeah. I wonder which vanilla you mean Gigi. I'd like to see what it would taste like if I used it for giva meat."

When she talks to Sheila-Lou, Raina-Lou has words for her family. Then Rayna-Lew looked even more flimsy, how relieved I was.

"No, this was a great dish.... but is it possible for a non-Vulcan person to make a dish in hand like this?

Eventually, when Marstein spoke that way, Varcus tilted his neck in a curse.

"Yes, it would seem possible to assemble a flavor close to this if it were my disciples"

"Doesn't that mean you can still only cook this kind of food in their stores? Then the aim of making Banaam's fuwano and mammalian flavors widely known will not be very much in line."

"… but this is a dish that is hard to make without Banaam's Fuwano and Mammalia. If so, do not pass on the excellence of those ingredients to guests visiting my shop."

"So I wonder how many humans could possibly try to buy Banaam's Fuwano or Mammalia themselves.... No, fine. There is no point in getting rid of this kind of thing. I want them to continue cooking delicious dishes in their own way."

"Yes," Varcus said, drooling his head.

On the other side, Timaro is quietly closing his eyelids. She looks a lot pale, but she doesn't look disturbed.

(On second thought, Timaro has been comparing his culinary skills by Varcus for years. Wouldn't it be a tremendous gut to not be able to break your heart with that)

With that in mind, Eurifia raised her voice, "Come on."

"So now it's Jan's turn, huh? We were looking forward to your sweet treats, weren't we?

I'm sure we mean you ladies. Princess Vesta and Princess Serange, very similar as the sisters, shine their eyes on expectations instead of the next Marquis.

It was the black fuwano baked confectionery that was brought in that way.

Besides, this seems to be fried and grilled with milk fat. The thinly noodled black fuwano dough was wrapped around it in a spring roll-like fashion, with a rich hint of milk fat that resembled butter.

"Oh, is it fried, not baked?

"Yes, I was inspired too because the confectionery prepared by Lord Asta at the previous Tea Party was so wonderful."

Jan had stated that, but that's when I prepared the doughnuts. Its sweets, fragrant and fried and grilled, felt closer to pie than donuts.

Its sweets, like grey-brown spring rolls, are hung with a thick, thin red sauce. By the way, scattered seemed to be minmi pulp resembling peaches.

"Wow, it's delicious!

And, after he shouted out loud, Yun-Sudra shrunk to bright red. To that smiling look, Eurifia laughs, "It's okay."

"We were talking about honestly expressing our opinions here, right? I think I'm delicious, too."

"I'll come," Jan finally bows her head.

I also fed them, but that was no less delicious than the confectionery served at the tea party.

They also use caron milk and kimus eggs in the dough, which is rich in flavor and preferably crisp in texture. And hidden within it were jams based on the pulp of arrows and seals.

The sauce made of Panem honey and minced fruit is very sweet, so your jam is understated. There is a wonderful harmony of berry arrow and citrus seal acidity, to which natural sweetness is added.

This sweetness would surely be white mammalian liquor. Whether it is boiled with fruit and topped with alcohol, it has a gentle taste that even young children are likely to taste delicious.

And besides the more well stiff fabric and the thick and soft jam, there were also about two different textures lurking.

One would be fiber of Kimmus meat, just like last time. Kimmus' breasts, thinly torn like yarn, give the teeth a pleasant bite.

The other seemed to be fruits or vegetables.

It is still thinly torn and I can't feel the taste. It would crumble easily if chewed, but it was slightly puffy and elastic, which had also created a pleasant texture.

"... This is Ma Pra, isn't it?

It was Vulkas who spoke that way.

Jan nods calmly "yes".

"This is a simmer of Ma Pra in white mammalian liquor. It didn't feel chewy enough, so I decided to add it."

Ma Pra is a subspecies of pra, a vegetable similar to paprika. Since there is no bitterness like pra, I was also a vegetable that I often add for color and texture.

"It's a great idea. As I was asking Siri-Low, the arm that makes your sweets will be one of the best in Genos."

"It's an honor to have so many cooks like Lord Varcus say that."

With a nod, Varcus looked back at Timaro.

"Lord Timaro also had no less arms than Lord Yang when it came to confectionery making. Because there's something to keep an eye out for about one flavor, so if you take advantage of that technique when it comes to regular dishes, you're sure to make great dishes."

Timaro, who had a difficult face and mouthed Jan's sweets, scowls at Varcus in such a difficult face.

"No, this tasted great too. Looks like Banaam's Fuwano is good for sweet treats."

Jan says yes to Malstein's words.

"It tends to have a more tasteless finish than a white fuwano instead of just cooking normally, but it will be possible to make delicious confectionery with just a little ingenuity. There are not many people in Castle Town who use sweet treats as a snack, so it's very important to work with them."

"Then Timaro would like you to sift your arms on that side as well. I hear they're famous among your ladies, don't you?

"Ha..." Timaro says with a seemingly complicated face.

I guess it's where it hurts and itches to be praised for the skill of the confectionery because Varcus has stirred up more of the dish at the heart.

"What do you say, Odifia? You love these sweets, too, don't you?

And I heard Eurifia calling on my young child.

Odifia, a five-year-old who is as loving as a French doll, nods "very tasty".

"But is this the only weird thing?

"Oh, haven't you eaten enough yet? Looks like there's still a little left on that plate over there."

"I don't think so, Odifia wants that mummy freak."

Naturally, that girl meant Tour-Din.

Those who had heard that conversation would stare at Tour-Din again, and the person in question would stick to my back.

"You really have become fond of Tour-Din confectionery. Well, then, Odifia, is it polite to remember your name properly? That little woodland cook is called Tour-Din."

"Tour-din," he snapped with an unexpectedly firm pronunciation, and Odifia stared at Tour-din.

"Moribe chief Dari-Sauti, as you heard, my daughter Odifia seems completely distracted by the treats that Tour-din makes. Sooner or later, is it possible for her to travel to Castle Town?

and to Dari-Sauti, not his father-in-law or companion, Eurifia turns her gaze and words.

Dari-Sauti smiled softly as she compared the figure of a noble mother and daughter wearing a pure white dress.

"If it is to the extent that it is an irreplaceable job by the woods, there would be no reason for the parents of the Din family to say no to that either. However, since the Din family is a member of the Chieftain Zaza family, they should talk to you first."

"Oh, I wonder if the Zazas were here, too?

To the words, Sufila-Zaza, who was down to the wall with the hunters of the escort, advances quietly.

"My name is Sphilla-Zaza, the youngest sister of Graf-Zaza, the head of the Zaza family.... you want to offer Kamadu no. Job to Tour-Din of the Din family, not Asta of Fa's house?

"Yeah, of course. I'd be very happy if Asta could come along. Even as Tour-Din, that would be more comforting."

"Really? … I will now pass that word on to the Parent Graph."

In response to his faceless expression, Sphyla-Zaza is also keeping a close eye on Thur-din's hindsight.

Tour-din was no longer going to disappear as he grabbed it on my back.

Eurifia smiles very satisfactorily and looks back at her so-called companion.

Melfried, who still felt like he hadn't uttered a word in this seat, opened his mouth with his grey eyes glowing cold, but when he realized he was staring from his foot to his daughter, he breathed silently and small.

Malstein, who watched the family of such sons with a bittersweet look, shouted "Well" as he regained his mind.

"After this, then, let's also enjoy a regular dinner along with the rest of the food. The disciples of Varcus are ready."

In response to Malstein's voice, the maidens also bring in new dishes with straw. Tartumai, Siri-Law, and Roy's three were cooking those dishes instead of helping Varcus cook. Gutsu and stewed soup, caron meat dishes, colorful vegetable dishes, etc. are arranged sloppily on empty tables.

"... and for the record, I want you to enjoy the game here in front of the woodland hunter Sin-Luu and the swordsman Gay Malos of Saturas"

One of the lowest surnames approaches the wall on the right hand side from us.

When the small surname drew a large drape, a large window was cut across the wall.

It is a huge window that is one meter high and would be as wide as seven or eight meters across. Several reinforcement columns are installed between them, but there is no inconvenience in checking what is going on outside. Peeping from it was a spacious stone stage.

Roofs and floors exist, but they're already outdoors there. Ten meters in diameter is a likely stone stage, with the roof supported by thick stone columns surrounding it. And the stage is illuminated by the barbed fire installed on its stone pillars, but outside the roof, the shade of the tree was black and obsessed.

We're moving to you on foot.

The nobles will be willing to browse while enjoying their meals, but this is not the place to eat. Lara-Lu and others put their hands on the windowsill and just stepped out of the momentum.

The three of us, Ai-Fa, Ziza-Lou and Gazran-Rutim, stand behind us silently. Still, the size of this window wouldn't have inconvenienced the Malsteins either. Also, as much as I couldn't take into account the inconvenience of the nobles, I, Lara-Luu, etc. had led Sin-Luu to himself.

(Anyway, don't just get hurt, Sin-Lu....... for Lara-Luu)

That's how two swordsmen come in from beyond the burning fire, invited by their lowest surnames.

Both wore silver armor, but one of them was Sin-Lu, a young hunter by the woods with unmistakable brown skin.
