Difficulties in Love 1

“─na, Nina, come on, wake up!”

In my drifting consciousness, I heard a voice.

Had it been two hours already? I hugged Cheryl warmly, wishing I could sleep just a little longer.

“I’m still sleepy.”

“…..”

“Are you trying to kill Dirk?”

‘Ah, that voice sounds familiar. And what did they mean by trying to kill Dirk?’

Then, when I slowly opened my heavy eyelids, for some reason, Dirk’s face was in front of me.

“Eh? E-Eeeeee!?”

In a moment of surprise, I jumped up and hurried away from Dirk. I fell off the sofa, but Cheryl caught me with her back. What a good girl she was.

I sat up again and rubbed my eyes. Without a doubt, Lara and Dirk were in front of me.

I wasn’t sure, but apparently, I had fallen asleep clinging to Dirk’s arm, not Cheryl’s. I really didn’t understand why.

“W-Why are you two here….?”

Sitting on the sofa across from me, Lara gracefully rearranged her long, thin legs and stared at me.

“Since Dirk wanted to hand over the shoes, I kindly volunteered to come with him so that Alvin wouldn’t find out. Then, I broke the wards and put the knights around the house to sleep.”

“Y-Yes?”

“I wanted to go back quickly, but you were asleep and didn’t answer the doorbell. It would be troublesome if I left him here and he was found out, so I forced him into the house and stayed outside.”

“I see….”

“And when he didn’t come out for a while, I got angry and went inside too. Then I was surprised to see Nina in front of Dirk, who was standing still.”

After that, apparently, I rolled over and reached for Dirk’s arm, and we ended up in a hugging position.

I didn’t expect the two of them to visit me today, so I was completely caught off guard. However, while I was asleep, the transformation spell would be broken anyway. So, if they entered the house on their own, there was no way to avoid them.

It seemed that she also easily disabled the security equipment that had been set up to prevent anyone from entering without permission. I usually didn’t take naps, but the timing was too bad.

“Uh, Dirk, I’m sorry. Does your arm hurt?”

“….. no.”

“Your voice sounds so small.”

Lara snickered at Dirk, whose face was red for some reason, and then came over to me and lifted my chin.

She gave off a surprisingly good scent, and the overflowing sex appeal and overwhelming beauty made me feel dizzy. Even though we were of the same sex, my heart was pounding.

“I thought that Alvin, who had finally lost his mind, had changed your face to look like Nina, but turns out that wasn’t it.”

“Yeah, it’s me. Long time no see, Lara, Dirk.”

Lara, who had said some very frightening things today, eventually hugged me tightly.

“Jeez, when did you come back? My sweet Nina-chan.”

“It’s a little… Ugh, painful here.”

“I thought we were best friends, but you’re hiding things from me!”

I couldn’t breathe as I was pressed up against her enviably large bosom.  Lara said, “Oh, I’m so sorry,” and quickly let go of me.

After being released, I turned to face the two of them again.

“It’s been a really long time. Sorry I didn’t get to see you sooner.”

“…. Seriously, Nina, what the heck?”

“Yeah. Dirk really hasn’t changed.”

When I smiled at him, Dirk’s honey-colored eyes narrowed and he looked as if he was about to start crying.

The next moment, I was grabbed by the arm and hugged tightly.

“I’m so glad Nina is okay. I missed you.”

“Thank you. I’m glad to see Dirk, too.”

“For the past two years, all I’ve thought about is you.”

“Dirk….”

I could feel Dirk’s concern for me. I put my arm around his big back and felt glad to see him again.

“Sorry to interrupt you guys, but can we continue our conversation?”

“Ah, sorry.”

“….”

I quickly let go of Dirk. The two of them asked me a lot of questions, and I briefly explained what I had been doing.

Lara, who had leaned back deeply in her chair and crossed her arms, clicked her tongue.

“Alvin’s still the same, going about his way as usual. I hate that about him.”

“…. So, Catherine was Nina.”

“Yes, I’m sorry I didn’t tell you. But Dirk is awesome. Even though I have different faces, you still recognized me.”

Then, Lara snickered, “Of course.”

“He’s the kind of guy who spends his entire day idly gazing at those little dirty shoes while thinking about Nina.”
