“What should I do… It will take three days to choose.”

“The festival lasts for five days, so you have four more days to agonize over it.”

Bruno chuckled, said he was going to have a talk with the owner, and went into the back. I slowly looked around at all the magical beasts.

“But then again, being able to ride them is appealing, too.”

The knights on guard quickly rushed to the scene, but before they knew it, there was a small boy in the hands of one of the wyverns, and it appeared that they were unable to carelessly unleash their attack magic.

Bruno, who heard the commotion, came out from the back and suddenly looked up at the sky from behind me.

“Nina, where the hell do you think you’re going?”

“I’m going to take them down.”

I should be able to save that boy without getting hurt. If something happened to the child while I was worrying about my identity being exposed, I would regret it for the rest of my life.

“I’m pretty sure you’re not supposed to do that here.”

“I’ll just use my magic in the crowd and then run away, don’t worry!”

I dragged Bruno out of the tent and headed for the plaza against the flow of fleeing people. But it wasn’t going well, and it would probably be better to deploy my magic over a wider area from this distance. With this in mind, I held out my hands toward the sky.

As I looked around the square to see what had happened, I gasped.

His face, staring up at the sky, was expressionless, and from a distance, he looked like a delicate doll.

It must be his magic that was used just now. I wondered why he was here, but judging by his attire and the knights around him, he might have just returned from a subjugation expedition. In any case, I was glad the child was saved.

The crowd seemed to realize that it was the first prince who saved the child, and the plaza was filled with cheers.

I had been admiring the sight of him, but I soon came to my senses. Owen had told me not to let Alvin-sama find me.

Even though the place was crowded with hundreds of people, it would be better to leave this place at least for the moment.

I thought so, and I quickly grabbed Bruno’s hand.

Suddenly, Alvin-sama turned towards me. At that moment, his jewel-like eyes widened.

I was far away from him, with so many people around, and I was using transformation magic.

Alvin-sama was definitely not looking at me. He was just looking in this direction.

I knew this, but my heart was beating so fast that I forgot to breathe, and I couldn’t look away from him.

I could no longer hear the sounds around me, and I felt as if it was just the two of us in this world.
