“Ah! I’m back!”

“you’re noisy.”

Since then, nothing special happened in the capital, so we just came back. I walked around the city to see if Wallace and the others were there, but I couldn’t find them.

“Hey Sophie?”

“What is it?”

“Can I see your status?”

I asked her that at lunch the next day. This is something I’ve been asking her ever since we were about seven years old.

“I’ve said it many times, if  you show me your status without hiding it, I’ll show you.”

She’s been saying this for a long time and never showed me her status. In the past, I couldn’t help it, so I hid all my titles but child prodigy and and showed the rest at a slightly lower level.

“I showed you before!”

“I won’t show you anything until you show me everything.”

“That’s all!”

“No. You’re still hiding it.”

I’ve been disguising my skills and titles for a long time, so even if Sophie has appraisal, she shouldn’t know.

“Oh, and Sophie …”

“Yeah?”

“I’m going to be an adventurer while attending school.”

“I thought so. I understand.”

“Being a solo adventurer sounds fun!”

“That has nothing to do with ni-san.”

“Um, are you trying to say I’ll have a party soon?”

“What are you talking about? You’ve got me, you can’t call the two of us solo, right?”

“That’s right.”

It seems it was decided she’ll be an adventurer with me from the beginning.

“That’s why … I’m thinking of adding Shana to the party …”

“Why?”

“Well, if it’s just me and you, we don’t have anyone who can detect traps, so I think we need Shana who can.

“I understand”

“eh?”

I was expecting Sophie’s usual sermon to start again, so I was surprised that she allowed Shana to join the party.

“What’s with your reaction … did you think I would deny it?”

” Well….. Yeah “

I thought she would definitely deny it.

“If you want to add her to the party, I won’t deny it without thinking, let alone this time where you have a good reason, I won’t deny it.”

“Oh”

“And since we confirmed that time with the orc that Shana-sama can move in cooperation with us, there’s no problem with cooperation, so I strongly agree with her joining the party apart from personal feelings.”

“Thank you, ahaha”

I was nervous about telling Sophie, and I laughed because I felt like an idiot.

“‘It’s just that if that happens, It would be difficult for you right?”

“Huh?”

“You draw against Shana-sama in melee and lose against me in magic, right? And Shana-sama can detect, and I can use recovery magic. Huh? What’s Brother’s role? Aren’t you just lacking in skill without a single trick?”

“………”

I’ve been thinking something similar for a while. For now, I wouldn’t be using Thunder magic in public, and my close combat is about as good as Shana’s. But it’s not as if I can’t do anything, and I’m sure Sophie has her own thoughts on the matter though she sounds harsh.

“And I think your level is probably lower than Shana-sama’s, right?”

“That’s right”

I’m out hunting in the middle of the night. I also have the effect of titles. So she’s probably winning in level.

“That’s why it doesn’t make sense to imitate Shana-sama or me, right?”

“Yeah”

Even if I imitate Shana and Sophie, it’s just a degraded version of the two.

“If so, what will Zero ni-san do for the next two years?”

“Become stronger”

“How”

“Work hard?”

“Fufufu …”

That said, Sophie began to laugh and the serious air she had built up till now disappeared.

“Fufu … that’s more like my brother.”

“You’ll support me right?”

“Of course”

I guess Sophie was trying to make me work harder by being so harsh with me. So, as her brother, I want to get stronger than expected.

And so two years passed and It’s time to enter the academy.
