As expected from a popular theater troupe's performance, it was truly magnificent. While the magical effects were quite flashy, the story was interesting, and the actors' performances were excellent.
Thanks to the preparation beforehand, the transition from holding hands normally to holding hands like a couple with Kaori-san and Olivia-san was smoothly accomplished, and I can confidently say the result was flawless.
[It was fun, wasn't it?]
[Unn! It was amazing! The ending was so happy, I’m really glad...... Well, let's talk more about that at the cafe we’re going to!]
As Kaori-san had mentioned earlier, we planned to discuss our impressions of the play at a cafe afterward. There was no issue with that; in fact, I was quite thirsty, so I fully supported going to the cafe.
The theater we went to had a stylish atmosphere, so it might have been expected...... but unlike a movie theater, they didn’t sell drinks or popcorn in the audience. The play was long, so while it was interesting, I felt thirsty and a little hungry.
......Well, even if drinks had been sold, it would have been difficult to drink with both of my hands held......
[B- But, you know, holding hands like this is kind of embarrassing. I mean, it feels nice....... like there's this sense of security, but once we go outside, it gets more embarrassing.]
[Do you want to go back to holding hands the way we did before?]
[Hmm...... Do you dislike it, Kaito-kun? If you're okay, I'd rather keep holding hands like this a little longer......]
[Yeah, I do feel a bit embarrassed, but more than that, I'm happy to be holding hands with Kaori-san, so there's no problem at all.]
[Fghh, y- you're being like that again......]
[......Wasn't that the scene where the protagonist hugged the heroine to calm her down?]
It seems like Kaori-san, still hyped up from the romance play, is suggesting that I hug Olivia-san to calm her down, just like in the scene we saw earlier.
H- Hmm? I'm not sure...... I think startling her to bring her back to reality might work, but hugging her might be a bit disrespectful to Olivia-san...... But at the same time, leaving things like this doesn't feel right either...... S- Should I just try it?
Though I feel a little carried away by the situation, guess I'll just try it...... if it doesn't work, we can figure something else out.
[Olivia-san, I'm sorry. Please excuse me for a moment.]
[Mighty and radiant Miyama Kaito-sama, there is no need for someone as diminutive and insignificant as me to be apologized to, you also need not to excuse yourself around me. For everything works as per Miyama Kaito-sama's will————- ! ? ! ? ! ? ! ? ! ? ! ?]
As I gently hugged Olivia-san, who had been murmuring calmly...... she froze completely, her eyes wide open as if time had stopped.
......Arehh? Did I make the situation worse?
<Afterword>
Makina : [You know, I really hold Olivia in high regard. She has this solid foundation of genuinely praising my beloved child, which gives me a sense of security when I watch her. With someone like her, I feel like I’d want to cheer for her relationship with my beloved child.]
Serious-senpai: [......So when she’s flustered, Olivia might be somewhat similar to when Makina goes into overdrive...... Well, with Olivia, I don’t sense any madness at all. It’s more like pure faith and affection, so the impression is pretty different from Makina’s rampages...... Also, in Olivia’s case, she’s at least listening to Kaito and responding. It’s just that while she’s responding, her mind seems to be somewhere else, so the conversation doesn’t really connect well......]
