Birds of the same Feather

“You are pushing everything to Juumonji-kun aren’t you Hideyori-kun.”

Even if I don’t get involved, it’s all good as long as this can be resolved peacefully.

Now, show me what a protagonist is made of, Takeru!

“Sorry, I don’t really have business with you, Juumonji-kun.”

“Ah, yes ma’am.”

“The one I have business with is that stupid-looking guy over there.”

“That’s what she said, Hideyori.”

Try a little harder won’t you, you useless protagonist!

This is why 20 percent of the players voted for you on the most hated character in the game you know.

That might not mean anything coming from the guy who’s hogged 60 percent of the vote though……..

“You seem to be quite an expert at buttering people up aren’t you.”

“Then you must be an expert at bothering us huh.”

“Ugh, how nonchalant! Stop copying me!”

Why do troubles always seem to find me I wonder……

I mean, she came in like a storm.

She’s a completely different person from the lively Tsugaru Madoka I remembered from the game.

“Tsugaru-san, I think you are misunderstanding something. Hideyori-kun is not a bad person you know.”

“O, Oh, Emi!”

Emi seems to be scared of Tsugaru but it looks like she can still offer me some support.

“You were told to say that right, why would I listen to you.”

Seems like nothing will get through no matter what we say to her.

I can see that she absolutely doesn’t trust me.

It’s kinda sad to be hated so unreasonably like this……

“I wasn’t told to do anything. Why does Tsugaru-san hate me so much.”

“I do feel some irritation talking to Sasaki-san but I do not hate you. It’s still irritating though.”

“Why do you have to say irritating twice though? You sound like you are super irritated by me. Rather, you actually do hate me don’t you?”

“Not yet I don’t. It just feels like I will in the future. That’s why my irritation is building up.”

“What do you mean building up?”

Tsugaru and Emi’s conversation is locked in a spiral.

That aside, letting them have a silly back and forth like this is just a waste of time.

“Hey, Tsugaru-san.”

“I don’t really want to talk to you.”

“Just listen to me okay. I won’t do anything dangerous I swear.”

In a roundabout way, I conveyed to her that [I won’t use my Gift].

Perhaps she caught that, Tsugaru reluctantly stood down and quietly waited for me to continue.

“Leaving me aside, can you not say something like hate so clearly to Emi? Let’s [Break this Chain of Sadness] here.”

“……Eh?”

Alright, she took the bait.

It would be impossible for the game’s title to be dropped like this in a normal conversation after all.

It was a bit awkward but Takeru and the others seemed to be thinking [Don’t use some difficult words man], and just let it go. Since I wanted to quickly convince Tsugaru, I chose the best words that can convey my intention.

“Tsugaru-san, my circumstances are actually quite similar to yours. We are birds of the same feather you know.”

“No way, that’s impossible……”

“You actually want to be friends with Emi aren’t you, Tsugaru-san.”

“……”

“You can get along with her. Emi called out to you by her own will because she only wanted to be your friend you know.”

Hearing the information that should be unavailable to the inhabitants of this world from me, Tsugaru started thinking.

Please, let me get through to her.

“Alright. Akechi Hideyori, I still don’t believe you but for now, I think that you are not the person I thought you to be…….”

“Ahh, that’s plenty enough. Let’s talk again.”

“Yeah, birds of the same feather, huh. That’s a nice way to put it, I want to take my time talking to you next time.”

Flipping her long hair, Tsugaru turned back and walked away.

….…I’ve never expected to meet someone who’s in the same situation as me in this world.

However, it’s impossible for those who know about the game’s story to not be interested in one another.

“Well, there she goes, it seems that Emi and Risa can get along with her just fine now right?”

“……I don’t want to get along with her anymore.”

“Why?”

“It seems like she might become my rival…….”

Rival in what though?

I can feel Risa’s fed-up gaze on me but Takeru has already burst out laughing.

“Don’t worry about it.”

Since that’s what Emi said, I decided to not pay it any mind.
