Nagasawa did not say anything and just laughed.

Kusagakure’s Kage was a little confused and asked, “Morishita, why are you laughing?”

He respected Morishita very much since Morishita was strong and dedicated to Kusagakure, a rare talent.

However, this was Anbu’s important meeting. If Morishita couldn’t give him a reason, he would definitely beat him up.

“I’m laughing at the ignorant Sarutobi Hiruzen.” Nagasawa laughed.

“If it were me, I would never propose to sign the so-called peace treaty with Iwagakure. I would’ve pulverized Iwagakure Shinobis until they surrendered.

The Kage frowned and said, “Now we are discussing how to deal with Konoha, why are you talking about the war between Konoha and Iwa.”

Nagasawa smiled and continued: “Of course, I know how to deal with Konoha. Leader, don’t worry, listen to my analysis.”

Thinking how good and reliable Morishita usually was, the leader finally relented and listened to Morishita’s analysis.

Nagasawa asked: “Who won the war between Konoha and Iwagakure?”

“Konoha!” A Squad Leader quickly answered, not understanding why Nagasawa asked such an idiotic question.

The Kage frowned even more.

“So, who proposed to sign the peace treaty?” Nagasawa didn’t care and continued to ask with a smile.

“Konoha did, they even brought Suna Shinobis to deter Iwagakure.” the Anbu Commander replied with a thoughtful expression on his face.

He knew that Morishita was hinting at something, but he still couldn’t figure it out.

Nagasawa smiled and nodded. He said slowly, “That’s why I said that the Third and Fourth Hokage are not smart enough. It’s no different than losing.”

A Squad Leader hesitated: “There might be some information that we don’t know about. If the Third Hokage is really stupid, how can he develop Konoha into its current state? If the Fourth Hokage is stupid, how can the Third Hokage let him be the Hokage? “

Nagasawa’s words were objected, but he was not in a hurry. Instead, he said lightly: “Konoha is just big, and do you think the Fourth Hokage became the Hokage because of his own ability?”

“Didn’t he? The name Minato the Yellow Flash spread throughout the countries as the person who massacred so many Iwagakure Shinobis.” The vice-captain said in a deep voice.

Although Minato was a Shinobi from another village, the other Shinobi Village respected him. They allowed their Shinobi to give up the mission without punishment if they encountered the Yellow Flash in the middle of the mission.

Nagasawa smiled contemptuously, and the Vice-Commander almost slammed the table and stood up. Fortunately, the Kage stopped him.

“It’s true that Minato is strong, but is he smart? Besides, there are stronger people in Konoha! Have you forgotten about the Sannin?” Nagasawa sneered.

“Indeed, they should be more qualified than him.” The Kage agreed with Nagasawa.

“The reason why Minato can become a Hokage at the age of twenty-three is not because he’s strong. On the contrary, it is because he’s not as skilled as the Sannin!” Nagasawa said.

Everyone present was Anbu veterans, and they’ve seen all kinds of darkness in the world.

When Nagasawa said this, they instantly understood what he meant. The Fourth Hokage was just the Third Hokage’s puppet.

When they thought about it carefully, it really made sense. Otherwise, why would Sarutobi Hiruzen give up his position as a Hokage even though he wasn’t that old yet?

When Nagasawa saw everyone’s expressions, he knew that these people were almost fooled by his own Hokage conspiracy theory, and he didn’t just badmouth Minato for nothing.

Seeing that everyone took the bait, Nagasawa continued to add fuel to the fire, “Do you know that before the peace treaty was signed, The Third Hokage had already appointed Minato as the Fourth Hokage, so it was him who was supposed to sign the treaty.”

“If you sign the treaty after winning the war, you will definitely be badmouthed by the future generations thinking that Konoha was so foul.” the Anbu Commander sighed.

He felt that those politicians were truly cruel. Anbu like them would take on assassination missions to silence some people, but they certainly sounded much better compared to the dirty politicians.

“Although you are right, we still don’t know how to deal with Konoha.” The Kage said.

He wasn’t interested in Konoha’s dark politics. He just wanted to know how to get through the current crisis.

Nagasawa said with a smile, “It’s simple. Iwagakure had been in an all-out war with Konoha until recently, and despite that, Konoha just wanted to sign a peace treaty even though they emerged victorious. In comparison, we only sent a few Shinobis to steal the intel regarding that treaty.”

The Kage thought about it and felt that what Nagasawa said was very reasonable. If Iwagakure went to the Land of Fire, Konoha would definitely forgive him.

Compared to Iwagakure’s frontal assault, Kusagakure’s failed attempt was not even worth mentioning.

“Then are we not going to prepare anything?” The Kage asked. He felt that Morishita had researched quite a lot about Konoha.

Nagasawa shook his head and said, “Of course not. We have to prepare enough compensation. After all, Iwagakure is one of the Five Great Shinobi Countries, and we are just a small country.”

The Kage frowned and said, “Then why did you say that?”

He felt like he was listening to a bunch of nonsense.

Nagasawa explained: “Konoha definitely will not start a war with us. The Third Hokage will not let the war break out again, but we must prepare a worthwhile compensation because we are a small country.”

The Kage sighed, “Yes, we are a small country.”

“Right, we must prepare more compensation,” Nagasawa said.

The leader looked at Nagasawa doubtfully. He didn’t know why Nagasawa would make such stupid remarks. They were the ones who gave the money. The more they gave, the rougher their situation would be.

“Our Shinobis are now growing rapidly, and Konoha must’ve had their eyes on us. If we give a large amount of money to Konoha because of this, they will definitely look down on us, thinking that we’re no match against them and we can use that time to develop steadily.” Nagasawa explained.

The Kage hesitated for a while, then said, “Let’s leave it at that. I will discuss the compensation with Daimyo.”

After that, the Kage looked at Morishita and said, “Morishita, you did well this time. If the village successfully survives this crisis, I will give you some rewards.”

“The rest of you should learn a bit from Morishita. You have to pay more attention to the other villages.”

On the way back to the office, a Squad Leader sighed: “Morishita, you really are amazing. I didn’t expect you’ve already made so many preparations without anyone knowing. In order to understand Konoha, you must have made a lot of effort.”

Nagasawa smiled politely and nodded. Why bother? No one knew Konoha better than him because he was a Konoha Shinobi.
