“We’re almost there.” Looking at the town not far away, Midori Inuzuka sighed.

Nagasawa glanced at her and said, “Didn’t you say you were powerful and wanted me to teach you Haki in advance? Yet you’re tired already?”

Midori Inuzuka chuckled and said, “It’s not that I’m tired. This journey is just too boring.”

As they approached Kusagakure, the four of them changed their clothes and no longer wore Anbu’s uniform.

After all, they were not stupid. Swaggering around a foreign country wearing Anbu’s uniform was basically asking to be captured.

Nagasawa observed for a while and found that Kusagakure did not have a barrier that covered the whole village as Konoha did.

So he took the three people to a remote corner and slipped in.

Even though it was called a Shinobi Village, Konoha was actually around the size of a town. Even Konoha could not guard every corner, so they had to place a barrier.

Since Kusagakure didn’t have a barrier, Nagasawa and the others sneaked in very smoothly without encountering any obstacles.

“Why Kusagakure seems dilapidated?” Looking at the old houses around her, Midori Inuzuka said.

Before Nagasawa could explain, Ensui said, “First, it is because of the place we entered. Second, it is because of the war. Not long ago, this was the battlefield between Konoha and Iwagakure.”

“Kakashi and Ensui, pay close attention to her. Don’t let her blow our cover.” Nagasawa ordered.

If her cover was blown, he’d have to step in. No one should be able to beat him in Kusagakure anyway.

Perfect infiltration – killing everyone who saw you were the same as no one saw you, perfect infiltration.

Both Kakashi and Ensui nodded. Obviously, they also knew that their teammate was not very reliable.

Nagasawa looked at the sky. The sun was high, and it was really hot outside, so he said, “we will investigate in three teams. Kakashi and I will go alone. Ensui, you will go with Midori.”

Konoha’s Anbu was usually built on the edge of the village, similar to the place where they entered.

However, when he entered Kusagakure, he sensed that there were no Shinobi there, only ordinary people.

Nagasawa searched carefully and finally found a place with many presences hidden underground in the west of Kusagakure.

The terrain on the west of Kusagakure was lower than on the east. There was a river and lush forest, but only a few people passed by.

Above the Anbu Base was an ordinary courtyard.

Anbu, who was called “Morishita-sama”, did not say a word. He just nodded and left the courtyard directly.

Nagasawa thought for a moment, then jumped up and followed.

He thought that finding information could take a while, so why not transform into Kusagakure’s Anbu?

“Morishita-sama” just now seemed to hold some status and should be able to enter and leave Anbu Base at will.

If he were killed and then used the Transformation Technique to sneak in posing as him, it should be much easier to find the information he was looking for.

If the person he transformed into held a high enough position, he might be able to get that information directly from a Kusagakure Anbu.

Nagasawa felt that this was a good idea and worth a try.
