Chapter 940 As Orchards

"That'll be the secret to the success of our Royal Sect."

At his announcement, Rass observed that even though all his subordinates displayed excitement, their eyes weren't as vibrant as their actions indicated. 'Indeed, fools they might be, but they can sense that they don't have a place in this setup. They are pretty foolish.'

He snorted coldly, causing them to shudder as if their thoughts were leaked to him. Though a second later, Rass said spiritedly, "I'll be at the centre of this change as the Royal Sect's founding Sect Master."

"To inherit my power, all the noble families would send their daughters for a political marriage." He then pointed at the subordinates, causing them to flinch at the sudden action, "And this is where you idiots would come into play."

"I'll be having thousands of wives. I'll be busy making babies and won't have time for anything else. And hence," He grinned, "Once the children begin to grow up, they'll need to be trained in the ways of combat."

He stared at his subordinates, "And you're the only ones who know how to wield them apart from me."

"Yes," He grinned upon noticing their eyes light up, "You'll become masters of the first generation of Orchards in the world. Your names will be passed down through history for many centuries to come."

"Orchard?" As all the subordinates became glee with joy, one of them asked, raising his question.

"That's the name of those with my powers." Rass said, "They'll be called Orchards."

"Orchards," The subordinates muttered the strange name one after another before they got used to it. Their world didn't have the concept of Orchards, so it was a new term for them.

Rass instinctively picked their term, as just like an orchard, those with his power grew items that could be distributed to others. Had he known its original meaning, he probably wouldn't have picked this name.

But instinctively, the purpose of both seemed similar, so he picked that from the knowledge ingrained into him.

"Now," He began to create suits that they wore to slaughter the Martial Artists, arming his subordinates with a pistol each as he commanded, "Head to the nearest postal office and dispatch letters to every single noble house in our country, inviting them to the Royal Sect."

Five subordinates that were well-versed in writing took charge of the mission and exited the restaurant.

He then pointed at the subordinate in charge of their wealth, "Summon the best of architects from the country to design the layout of our Royal Sect."

"Where will we be building it?" One of the subordinates asked.

"The Spirit Sword Mountain." Rass grinned, observing the shock on the faces of his subordinates, "It's the biggest mountain in our land, not to mention that it faces spring throughout the year. Its peak has more than enough area to create a Sect twenty times bigger than the Spirit Sword Sect. They didn't build a bigger one due to sentimental values. But we don't have that and hence could go all out."

"We have enough capital anyways. And if we come to lack it, the noble families would provide for us." His eyes glinted cunningly, 'If they want to get my power, they would have to pay the price anyway.'

The previous night, there was a heavy downpour thanks to the forest fire. Hence, the fire was snuffed out by the time it reached halfway down the mountain. Considering the bountiful nature of the region, the forest would grow back to its prime within a few years.

Rass began to delegate tasks to each of his subordinates and finally returned to his room late into the night, slumping as he rested. Two hours later, the window to the room opened slowly as a figure crept inside.

But before it could crawl towards Rass, a bullet pierced its forehead, causing it to slump to the ground. Rass yawned as he got up and observed the corpse, "A Martial Artist, huh? This is getting boring."

He summoned a couple of restaurant staff to clean the corpse and returned to bed, 'The assassins they sent when I wiped out the first Sect were dozens of times better than this assassin.'

"It's only a matter of time before Martial Artists vanish, especially once my children begin to roam around." Grinning at his bright future, Rass returned to sleep.

Unbeknownst to everyone, Compass Carburettor was asleep under his bed, silently observing everything from close up. As this was within the Dreamscape where he could do anything he wished, to not influence anything, he turned himself into Rass's shadow.

This way, he wouldn't interfere with the world in any way whatsoever, keeping everything natural. Only then would he figure out the secrets he came here for.

News gradually circulated throughout the continent, sending waves of shock into the minds of everyone. The power that annihilated the Martial Arts Sects was now up for grabs. Even the families that originally lost their family members—that were affiliated with a Sect—instantly set aside their hatred and sent eligible women to the Royal Sect.

It was because they realised that the information was sent to every family with notable authority, whether big or small. So, if they were caught up in their revenge of the past and refused to send anyone, the other families would gobble up the offer and would rise in power.

Eventually, they would have no place in the new world order. When the entirety of the Murim failed to annihilate Rass, it was best to bend over for him.

Rass had cunningly triggered a race, causing everyone to compete with each other as the noble families sent lots of wealth along with the brides. Immediately, every commoner noticed large caravans proceeding toward the Royal Sect from every corner of the continent.

There were other continents beyond their continent. But strangely, Martial Artists only existed on this continent. There were some secluded Sects situated on islands surrounding the continent. But beyond that, the concept of Qi, Martial Artists, and Martial Arts didn't exist. People living there were just a few in number without much development to speak of, not to mention that they were all mortals.

That's how Murim Worlds existed. Everything of value was only concentrated on the primary continent.

And now, Rass made waves throughout it, beginning the change that would influence Martial in the future.
