Chapter 655: In My Past (part 20)

“Shit! We’re too late!” The Elf shrieked shrilly as the mana circles revolving around her shattered all of a sudden, causing her to bleed from her orifices, clearly having pushed herself too much to divine the massive fate that was being created.

Her expression was one of shock as she muttered in disbelief, staring at the sky as she observed mysterious lines of fate all converging in one place, “Just…what is being created to cause such a disturbance in fate?”

Boom!

A long trail was formed in the sky as Gilthru made a beeline towards Tookh Village, a territory in the Demon Empire where Tirb Felera was situated at. The moment he entered the Demon Empire territory, Gilthru identified the location, “So, it’s Tookh Village. Then, this means it’s that bastard in action.”

He frowned in distaste, knowing Tirb Felera beforehand. Tookh Village was named a village, but in truth, it was an underground research facility where Tirb Felera experimented all the time to create new Magic Beasts to tame later.

Above ground, it was a heavily fortified location where all his Tamed Beasts lived their daily lives.

Swoosh!

The moment he neared Tookh Village, the Tamed Beasts stationed there noticed his approach, targeting him with a hail of artillery.

Among the Tamed Beasts were Human Mages that chucked fireballs, wind blades, and the likes at him.

Gilthru glided through the air, swerving sharply to avoid the attacks as he closed in on Tookh Village. His descent stopped abruptly when he noticed that he was surrounded by a column of rotating wind.

On the surface was a group of Giants that manipulated the air, creating a tornado to trap him first before wearing him down gradually. Gilthru had to constantly expend mana to keep his powers as a Wind warrior activated. Otherwise, the tornado would shred him apart.

After all, the Wind Mages had mixed in Wind Blades into the tornado, turning it into a terrifying vortex capable of shredding anything apart.

Boom!

Suddenly, a small segment of the tornado transformed into metal as it rotated at the same speed as the rest of the tornado. Gilthru condensed two wind blades that stretched out of his arm, slamming them into the metal ring that absorbed all the momentum of the tornado, turning it weak when he chucked it at the village.

He harnessed the tornado’s power to empower his metal ring and used it to attack the village. As the metal ring descended into the village, it segmented into almost a hundred chakrams, spreading apart as they bombarded the village, killing a good fraction of the Tamed Beasts there.

“That’s Gilthru!” One of the Tamed Beasts shouted in horror, having lost his legs from the attack as a chakram had severed them. He stared in fear, for it was Gilthru that had resulted in his Kingdom’s collapse.

He someone survived that ordeal before being captured and turned into Tirb Felera’s Tamed Beast. But now, his horror paid a visit once again.

It wasn’t just him that was feeling this way, but everyone that had witnessed Gilthru’s actions was the same. After all, it wasn’t easy becoming the right hand of a Demon Princess, especially a Pseudo-Saint like Daka Felera with plenty of Pseudo-Saint Tamed Beasts.

It was just a show of his might, for he had done this while only being a Grandmaster.

‘Even though he relied upon the superior control of an Elementalist, since Arnark did that, I should be able to do the same.’ Gilthru thought as he extended his hand, focusing on the chakrams lodged into the ground as veins popped all over his arms and neck.

His mana billowed as winds churned around him.

Creak!

The Human Warrior that had shouted just now noticed the chakram before him—the one that had severed his legs—wriggle, making creaking sounds as it vibrated.

“Keuk!” Gilthru grunted as the chakrams hummed in response before slowly beginning to rotate as they exited the holes they had formed.

Creeeeek!

The chakrams acted like a saw as they made cuts all over the ground, beginning to move.

“Aah!” The Human Warrior only managed to shriek in response before a chakram moved past him, severing his body from the middle. His blood poured into the thin groove that formed the ground. Similarly, blood from various living beings flowed through the grooves as countless people were killed by the moving chakrams that roamed through Tookh Village like worms.

Bang!

Suddenly, like a kite whose strings were severed, Gilthru’s wind was knocked out of him as he fell to the ground. The sound of a glass shattering resounded around him as he coughed out blood, causing a crater from his collapse.

He looked around, noticing a tattered straw doll of him lying nearby. His expression solemn, Gilthru stared with a sense of urgency, watching a Birdmen Witch and a Stone Ogre appear in his line of sight, a troublesome duo that had combined their already tricky powers, intending to deal with him.

“We’re being attacked.” The Merman Queen said, noticing that Tirb Felera was calm.

“It’s only Gilthru.” Tirb Felera waved his hand casually, “He might kill a lot of my Tamed Beasts, but that doesn’t matter. Once he becomes tired, capture him.”

He revealed a wide smile, “I’ll make him my Tamed Beast.”

Roar!

Yifa yelled out a hoarse roar as her body finished transforming, becoming a four-legged gluttonous beast capable of devouring everything in its path. Its stomach was its Magic Organ, its sole function to store an insane amount of stuff within its expansive space and gradually break it down to an atomic level.

But, that wasn’t the extent of her power as she was able to selectively target what she wished to consume.

Tirb Felera clapped in joy, “Bravo! Yifa! You’ve done well to succeed.”

He placed his hand on her forehead, turning her into his Tamed Beast before staring at Yela, “Now, it’s your sister’s turn.”

As Yifa had just endured an excruciating process, she was too weak to resist and was hence turned into a Tamed Beast. She was carried to the side by a group of Orcs before her sister, Yela was placed on the platform and chained.

“My diary!” Yela shouted when a Merman took her torn book.

“Leave it with her.” Tirb Felera waved his hand, “Since she’s attached to it, something interesting might happen as a result.”

He smirked, watching the Bards sing while the Polymorphs began to take action, “Such is the beauty of life.”

“Always interesting.”
