The day after that incident at the Adventurers' Guild, I went to the guild, undeterred.

It might be a bit misleading to say that I never learned my lesson, but my purpose was to receive the reward for the dismantling of the Dashboas that I had requested from Bold.

As one would expect, after several visiting the guild, it was easy to become familiar with the place. At any rate, I started to look for Nicole.

I soon found the person I was looking for, but she was talking with someone a little interesting, so I kept my ears open while trying to suppress my presence and listen in on their conversation.

“Mirian-senpai, come on!”

“Because it can't be helped. I'm just a human being. (Ningen damono)”

“Don't make such a cheap excuse, just do your job. Work!”

The person to whom Nicole's polite but irritated tone directed her voice was Mirian, the first guild employee I met when I arrived at the Adventurers' Guild.

In contrast to her twin sister Marian, who had a serious and earnest personality, she had a more easy-going and carefree character and declares a line that I had heard somewhere before. (TLN:  He's talking about the Ningen damono part. Look here)

On the other hand, unlike Nicole in the Laresta Adventurers' Guild, Nicole here had a serious personality and seemed to stand just the opposite of Marian and Nicole in Laresta.

“If you are going to be any more selfish......I guess you need to be educated again.”

“Hiii, w-wait Nicole-chan. Please anything but that!”

“If so, then do your job, do your job!”

“A-All right, I get it. I know what I have to do.”

Apparently afraid of Nicole's "education" just like in Laresta's case, Mirian started to work with a sulky expression on her face.

After watching the two of them go about their business, I went straight to the reception counter where Nicole was and asked to receive my reward for yesterday.

“Here are two small silver coins and five large copper coins for the dismantling of the five Dashboas.”

“Seems like a bit much.”

“They were in better condition than the Dashboas hunted by other adventurers, so we paid more for them than usual.”

I see, perhaps, the same is true of the Dashboas material I dismantled. I thought it was strange that the materials for three animals cost the same amount as two subjugation requests, but apparently, it was because of that.

Then, when I was discussing my next request, Mirian became involved. However, she returned to her work soon after, perhaps having received a pinch on the cheek from Nicole in the name of education.

“So, Rolando-san, I'd like to discuss something with you, is that all right?”

“Hmm? What is it?”

“I bought the dashboa material from Rolando-san yesterday, and as a result, it sold so quickly to the commercial guilds that I have received several inquiries from other buyers asking if I have the same material.”

“I see. So do you want me to go hunt for another Dashboa today and if possible, have it dismantled by me?”

“.....yes, I'm sorry, could you please?”

“I will of course add a fee for the dismantling.”

“Then that's no problem.”

After I finished talking with Nicole and put the money for the purchase of the Dashboas in my magic bag, I immediately set out to the Dashboa's habitat.

~~~
I arrived at the meadow where the dashboa was living in just a few minutes and started hunting immediately.
Since it was a little earlier in the day today, there were fewer adventurers than yesterday, and I had the feeling that the rate of dashboa encounters was higher because of it.
“Gobogobogobogobo…”
“Now, this is the ninth one. It's time to start the dismantling process. ......Hm? What is that?”
The hunt was going well and I thought I would hunt one more monster, but then things suddenly changed here.
I had gone too far into the meadow and was at the border between the meadow and the forest when a monster different from the usual dashboa appeared from the forest.
It looked like a dashboa, but its stature was incomparable to that of a Dashboa and larger than the Lesser Grizzly I once fought.
It was probably three meters in height at a rough estimate, and it was coming toward me with a stately step, swaying its huge body.
I tried to find out the identity of the monster that appeared, using the appraisal anyway for the obvious appearance of a higher species.......
“This one was one of those.”
The results of the appraisal were so unexpected that I couldn't help but mutter them out loud. This was what the appraisal told me about this guy's ability.
[Name]: Wild Dashboa
[Age]: 12 years old
[Gender]: Male
[Race]: Boa Species
[Occupation]: None (D rank)
Physical Strength: 1400
Magic Power: 300
Stamina: C+
Endurance: C
Agility: C-
Dexterity: D
Mental Strength: C+
Resistance: C-
Luck: D-
[Skill]: Rush Lv3, Roar Lv2, Leadership Lv2, Physical Enhancement Lv1
Its strength itself was inferior to mine, but only by a notch or two overall, so I had to be on my guard.
Its physical strength was almost equal to mine, and its skill level of Rush was a little higher at level 3. And this guy was the same age as me in this life.
It also had a low level of physical enhancement, and leadership would likely be a skill used in leading a herd of Dashboas.
I had been thinking a lot about the Wild Dashboa monster......but now a fatal problem had arisen. The problem is---
“Oh no, my magic bag is full, I can't take this guy back with me.”
Yes, there was no way I could have expected to run out of space in my magic bag here.
The magic bag was purchased in the town of Laresta, but the shopkeeper told me that the capacity of the magic bag I got at that time was limited to fifty kilos.
In fact, the last time I tried to bring the dashboa back with me, I ended up putting as much as I could into it.
This time, it had already reached its maximum capacity and when I was about to start dismantling them to lighten the load as much as possible, I had no time to spare.
“I personally would like to hunt it down because it seems to be a higher level Dashboa, but my magic bag won't allow me to do so. I had no choice. I'll just let it slide this time.”
“Bumoooooo”
However, the monster could not understand my words, and the Wild Dashboa was rushing toward me as if it had lost its nerve.
As might be expected of a higher species of Dashboa, its movements were agile and its rush was noticeably more powerful.
However, no matter how fast or strong the boar's charge became, it was still a boar's charge, and as long as one knew the direction and timing of its charge, one could avoid it without difficulty.
While avoiding the wild boar's rush several times, I searched for options to escape from this situation and came up with the best solution.
“This is what you get for coming at me with such stupidity and honesty! Take this! [Pit Hole].”
“Bumoooo!?”
A pit hole was dug in the direction of the Wild Dashboa's direction of attack using an earthen magic pit hole. However, the depth of the pit hole needed to be shallow so that it would only be a stumbling block.
The Wild Dashboa, who was only focused on me as its prey, would not be able to react to the sudden appearance of the pit hole, and it would fall into the pit hole without much trouble.
“Okay, let's get out of here while I still can. See you later, you pig. Next time I see you, I'll be sure to get some of that delicious-looking meat. Good-bye!”
With a discarded remark, I moved from that place in the blink of an eye using body reinforcement.
With a discarded remark, I moved from that place in the blink of an eye using physical enhancement.
By the time the Wild Dashboa escaped from the pit, I, its prey, was already far away, and I easily succeeded in escaping.
I then fled to safety, dismantled all nine Dashboas I had on hand, ate a little late lunch with the meat I had obtained, and then, like the last time, took a break before returning to the city.
After getting the nine Dashboa materials I had acquired paid off, I received seven small silver coins and five large copper coins, which was the total of the success fee for the Dashboa subjugation request, the dismantling fee, and the purchase money for the materials. In total, I received seven small silver coins and five large copper coins.
“I decided, my next goal is to raise enough money to buy a new magic bag!”
While muttering these words, I returned to my lodgings and went to sleep for the day.
