I had two spells cast on me–one that made me feel relaxed and comfortable, and another that made sure I was stuck onto him like glue. When Cory tried to take off the spells from me, everyone around us looked disappointed.

First, Cory removed the spell that stuck me to Swan. He gently carried me to the tower of pillows in the corner of the room.

Cory knew that I couldn’t get out of the blankets because of the spell that Swan had cast on me. He was slowly preparing to get that spell off of me too.

“Oh, wait. I want to stay like this a bit longer.”

Cory nodded and put his hands back down.

Cory and Hylli dragged a few more of their pillows and blankets to help make the place more comfortable. I ended up trapped in a mountain of pillows and blankets.

Yves began to explain about how everyone got here to a confused Cory and Hylli. Although they were laughing when they first began listening to Yves, they stopped laughing and began to nag me ever so often. I just nodded without a word.

The others just placed me in the middle and sat around me to discuss how they were going to send me back to the girls’ dorm.

One suggestion was to make me a boy and just have me sleep here, another was to make me wear a boys’ uniform to sneak back in, and another was to just make a run for it.

Cory just listened to everyone speak before speaking.

“If she flew in here, she can fly back out.”

Cory had an incredible amount of magic, so it was possible for him to just cast a flying spell on me to send me back.

Everyone agreed with what Cory suggested–it was the cleanest and fastest method of all.

Cory levitated me with magic. I began to feel a distinct sense of déjà vu from this. Didn’t Cory wrap me up in a blanket and float me like this some time before? But my face was hidden then, so I didn’t feel so embarrassed that time.

Cory worried that I was going to fall and put another layer of levitating magic on me. He cast one layer on me, and another on the blanket that I was wrapped with.

Because of that, I couldn’t get out of the blanket bundle even if I wanted to. I began to float out of Hylli and Cory’s window looking like a caterpillar before soaring across the sky.

When I realized that I couldn’t get the blanket off of me, it was when I was out of the room and heading towards my dorm.

“Wait! Hey! The blanket! Hey! No! Hold on!”

My shame had reached such a level that I couldn’t feel physical comfort anymore.

I had soared across the sky looking like a cool witch, but now I was coming back looking like a caterpillar.

I didn’t want to imagine how I looked right now. It was obviously going to be absolutely shameful. It probably looked like a caterpillar was squirming across the night sky. Or maybe a bug that was wriggling on a spider web.

I glared towards the four of them as I wriggled in my cloth prison. I didn’t know who it was, but one of them was waving their hand. Stop being stupidly friendly. Don’t be friendly at all.

When I yelled at them to release the spell on the blankets, Cory frowned as if he couldn’t hear me. When Swanhaden muttered something to Cory, Cory nodded and threw me a bag of snacks.

With an incredible amount of control, Cory put a single snack into my mouth.

“No! Not this!”

I yelled, but I didn’t think they could hear me. We were so noisy that a few students were trying to head out to their verandas to look, but Swanhaden immediately chopped them in the neck and sent them straight back to sleep.

I let my mind go and just stared at the night sky.

There was a beautiful full moon shining brightly in the sky.

I wanted to ride my broom across the sky with the full moon shining brightly behind me, just like the witches on TV. But my current form…………

“……….is closer to ET.”

I watched the passing moon as I smiled.

I made a new item for Karim to fly in. I had experienced all of the special circumstances that I needed, so I took note of those and made sure to create a safer magic broom.

Karim ecstatically received my gift. He zoomed across the sky. With a shy, grateful face, Karim thanked me again and again. He looked absolutely elated.

“It’s all okay if you’re happy…………………”

I smiled again as I watched how cute Karim was.

Chapter 9. School End Party

The end was in sight for our third year. Soon, we’d be done with junior school.

As time passed, the trees shed their green leaves, then their red leaves, and now they were bare.

The weather was growing colder. I couldn’t help but curl into myself when the cold wind blew across my neck. I layered on undershirt after undershirt as the weather grew colder under my uniform. But it was still cold.

When I breathed out, I could see my breath curl in the cold air. When I looked up, I could see giant clouds that were moments away from snowing. I shoved my cold hands under my armpits.

“Honey! I’m cold……..”

“Heehee, come into my arms. I’ll keep you warm.”

To my left was a couple that was hugging each other and sharing their warmth.

“Huhu, dear, I have a present for you today.”

“It’s a warm scarf! Thank you!”

To my right was another couple. Those two were exchanging gifts and spending a nice time with each other.

I didn’t really feel anything when it came to couples before, but I got strangely annoyed with them these days. I wanted to just shove them apart whenever I saw them sticking with each other.

I wasn’t like this before. Usually, I was always on the sidelines cheering for them. But whenever I saw a pair of lovebirds together, something in my stomach felt like it was boiling over. It really stung. Honestly.

They stayed together when it was cold because it was cold, and they stayed together when it was warm because it was warm. As the empire began to relax when it came to dating guidelines, society began to get a lot more…excited. Couples were almost impossible to find when I entered the academy, but now more than half of the school was busy dating.

Whenever I went on walks with Hestia, I could see couples doing some excessive touching and petting in the corners of the walking trails.

When I saw them making sucking sounds like they were the only ones on this planet, I couldn’t help but grip my sword just a bit tighter.

Last time, Yves saw me get angry at a couple like that and asked, “If you’re jealous, do you want me to do it to you?” like some kind of pervert. I scowled. As Yves slowly approached me, Swan held him back by chokehold. He got slimier as he got older. Yves, you’re gross. You’re not cute anymore.

But I was almost middle-aged when I combined my current age and my former life together. Shouldn’t I try dating sometime in my life?

The dating that I was thinking of wasn’t one that was just a lot of touching and heavy petting. I wanted a relationship where both parties cared for each other and took care of each other.

But I didn’t know if that kind of person would come my way. I’d never even gotten a confession before.

I seriously worried if I had no charm at all. Honestly, I knew that I was leagues behind Hestia, but it wouldn’t have been that weird to have some normal, nice guy to like me, right?

I came to a conclusion. I had so little charm that even someone like a ‘Random Passerby 1’ character would like me. I just had a lot of friends instead.

Damn it. Fine. Friendship over love. I felt like I was going to tear up so I just stared at the sky. But this was still much better than my last life. I had only had family in my last life.

But I didn’t have a partner at all for the junior party, so I was kind of worried.

When the juniors and seniors ended finished their respective schools, there was always a huge ‘End School Party’. It was to celebrate that students had finished one school. It was hosted by the school, and students would dress up to the nines and select one partner to dance and spend time with.

Usually, boys would start asking girls to be their partners about a week before the party happened. And because of that, there was an untold competition amongst the students to see who got the most requests.

That was because usually, the female student who received the most requests had a high chance of becoming the ‘Augran Queen’. That title was chosen by students through a vote. If they earned that title, their popularity would soar. Because of that, a lot of students were aiming for that title.

Sorry, but I think Hestia’s the top candidate for that title.

I want Hestia to get that ‘Augran Queen’ crown. Who else was worthy of the title of queen other than Hestia? First, she was perfect on the outside. And her personality was. Um. Wild….? Yeah. My Hestia is really wild.

I bumped into Hylli while I walked through the walking trail.

Hylli seemed to have bought a new sword this time. He was showing it off to me. He went on and on excitedly about his sword before glancing around and seeing how weird things were. There were only couples.

“Let’s duel here.”

He also seemed incredibly uncomfortable after seeing the influx of couples before he held up his new sword. Thankfully, I had a sword on my hips so I accepted the duel request.

Cling, clang, cling, claong! The swords hit each other with a sharp noise.

“When I see you, I can’t resist.”

Coooooomraaaaaadeeeeee!

We battled with the sound of couples making out behind us. Because of me and Hylli, the weird, romantic air dissipated from the area. We excitedly yelled about our loyalty to each other amongst the couples whispering love to each other.

The couples all glared at us as we yelled and ran around the area. But we didn’t care. We just sweated as we grinned in exhaustion.

The lovebirds just stared at us like we were crazy before leaving the area.

Hylli definitely wanted to chase the couples away from here just like me. We fist bumped as we watched them all disappear.

Wahahaha. It was a victory for justice.

I muttered drily to myself. I suddenly thought about how similar I was to Hylli’s first year. Daamn it.

It was a week before the party. Everything was going exactly as I thought it would.

All of the girls received at least one partner request. All of them were busy bragging about the roses that they received. I watched as Isabel, one of the other girls in swordsmanship, receive a partner request from a boy in the green class. She held a pretty rose in her hand. Looking at that reaction, it seemed like she gave up on Hylli a long time ago.

Of course, as expected, I didn’t receive a single rose. I wondered if I needed to request a partner myself first. But I didn’t want weird rumors to go around after asking anyone to be my partner. If I didn’t have one, then I’d go without one.

It didn’t really matter if you went with or without a partner, but if you went without one…you were kind of the odd one of the bunch. It was okay. I’d never been really hip with the crowd anyway. It’d be weird if I pretended to be a cool kid. Hahahaha. Life is great.

I hurriedly turned to look at Hestia.
