Chapter 175 Unexpected Madness

Ash rising from the east, screams from the north, wails in the south, and the pungent scent of sulphur coming from the west

Living in the abyss can be said to be all but peaceful, with things like death, violence, war, and chaos being the norm of the day.

However, deep within this same abyss where has been marked uninhabitable by almost races apart from abyss demons

A human was currently laughing wantonly as he flew in the sky reaping the lives of demons on the ground wherever he passed.

"Hahaha! This is more like it!"

Like a grim reaper holding his scythe, Elric held a weapon made out of pure shadows as he swooped down with his bat wings attacking the demon horde in his front

"Second-circle magic! Lighting chain!"

Raising his left hand, a series of about five glowing blue circles appeared in the air

With five quick bursts, the five circles connected together showering lightning upon the land

Feeling the amount of mana he had left, and the power of his attack just now, Elric had a satisfied expression on his face.

Second-circle!

Two weeks had passed, and it turns out that Davis had entered the second circle automatically pushing Elric to the same level

"Haha, it seems that there are more aspects about 'the source of the extraordinary' to find out

Shaking his head with a smile, Elric focused on slaughtering the abyss demons before him.

According to Elric's discovery, these demons he could see in groups should be on the lower class

Although stronger than the average human, that was just it.

Apart from having ugly faces and a slightly stronger physique, nothing else could be said to be special about them

Now under finding a huge horde of them, a signal thought came to Elric's mind.

Soon under Elric's accurate and powerful shots, all of the surroundings were filled with the screams of abyss demons as each of them died under Elric's ruthless attack

"Damn human! You dare wreak havoc in the abyss!"

Like music to his ears, perhaps it was because of the violent factor with abyss mages, or the blood thirst aspect of vampires

But as time passed and the slaughter continued, Elric's sanity began to slowly fade away as his mind continued edging on the brink of madness

Spitting the same words over and over, Elric showed no signs of stopping his slaughter as various spells and abilities keep getting unleashed one after the other.

Soon a day passed, and Elric's intensity had actually increased rather than reduced

Now various demons from all around had come to hear about the human slaughtering their kind.

Under their sudden reinforcements, the tables had turned from Elric against a few ten, to Elric against hundreds if not thousands of demons.

"Attack! He's about to run out of energy!" Shouted a random demon

Noticing the decrease in Elric's movements the demons began to attack more fiercely as they sensed his weakening

Unfortunately, what happened next was completely beyond their expectation.

Although already on the brink of madness, most of Elric's abilities and movements have already been imprinted within him.

Now feeling his own exhaustion, Elric unknowingly used one of his favourite abilities

Unlimited Mana!

With the ability to borrow mana from every wizard, theoretically, as long as the number of wizards keeps increasing

Then Elric can be said to have an infinite power bank.

However, although the number of wizards under his command hadn't reached an exaggerated number, it was still enough to last a long time.

Unfortunately, due to his madness, Elric couldn't control the amount of mana he borrowed.

At first, perhaps it was Elric trying to preserve his last bit of consciousness before letting the madness and bloodlust overtake him, Elric tried counting each demon that fell.

Unfortunately, after reaching a certain level, his body was unable to hold on drowning his consciousness in darkness as only his instincts took over.

"Blast!"

Covered in blood and rich killing intent, Elric's body moved fully stained with the blood of his enemies

"M–m-monster!"

"D-d-demon!"

"C-c-crazy!

These were the names that the abyss demons gave Elric after seeing him refuse to fall.

Unknowingly, Elric had become more demon-like than the demons himself

With that, time soon passed and the horde had gradually reduced.

Many demons had turned and ran fearing for their lives, while others stayed firm ready to fight to the death.

Also with the ground littered with dead bodies Elric's unconscious body would unknowingly drink the blood from their bodies from time to time.

Luckily, this allowed him to escape from danger, after all, if his body was ended up passing out from hunger

Then Elric's final result would be nothing less than being ripped apart from the surrounding demons

Unfortunately, it would only be after his consciousness came back that Elric would realise just how lucky he was.

Now another three days and the battle finally showed sides of dying down.

Because of the scent of human flesh, a lot of demons still rushed towards Elric even after seeing the surrounding dead bodies

And they all had a similar thought.

"What if I attack when he's weak and kills him?"

Counting on Elric to be tired from all the constants fights, more and more demons kept storming him expecting him to be tired

Unfortunately, the now-unconscious Elric shows no signs of running out of mana
