Chapter 25 We Are Wizards (II)

"Wizards?"

hearing the unfamiliar term, a look of confusion appeared on the trio's faces.

"yes, Wizards!" Said Elric as he gave them a look of affirmation. In fact, ever since he realised he was in a different world, the first thing that came to his mind was wizards and dragons.

Unfortunately, the herd reality of this world quickly told him there was no such thing as wizards, thankfully with the A.I. chip he had the opportunity to create it.

thinking back to those mysterious powerful wizards with long white beards and robes written in novels and movies back on the blue star he suddenly felt excited

"Wizards are people who have a never-ending thirst for knowledge, they are people capable of studying the natural phenomena in their surroundings and manipulating it for their use!" Said Elric with an impassioned glint in his eyes.

Hearing this, although the three of them had never seen a wizard just from Elric's explanation alone, they had already developed an inexplicable yearning for this powerful and mysterious group of people.

unfortunately, Elric's next words dampened their mood

"Although we were on the road there, at this stage we can't truly be called wizards," said Elric as he began to explain.

"Firstly, although three of you have been able to sense mana, you're yet to do any meaningful manipulation with it"

Unfortunately, the three of them had a look of confusion on their faces.

"don't worry you'll soon understand, this time I want you to enter a state of meditation just like last time, only this time try to use your mind to manipulate the red particles in this manner"

saying this he tried to draw the fireball inscription on a piece of paper

*Boom!*

Before anyone could react, a loud explosion sounded, shocking everyone.

"Young master!" (x3)

As soon as the explosion happened the three of them stood up and immediately rushed toward Elric's direction.

*cough* *cough*

with a slight, the smoke and aftermath from the explosion had died down revealing the figure of Elric with messed up hair covered in ash.

Seeing their young master in such a state, the three of them couldn't help but want to laugh, but looking at Elric keep silent they wisely held it in.

Too bad Elric was too lazy as his thoughts were currently elsewhere.

*It seems ordinary materials are not capable of holding magic inscriptions* thought Elric as he looked at the residue in front of him.

*Sigh..... it seems there's still a long way to go on the road to wizardry*  Thinking that he might have a long beard like his favourite wizard he suddenly felt it wasn't all too bad.

Feeling the stares of the three of them, quickly put the tho

"Okay it's time to get serious, although I can't draw the inscription for you yet, I'll just have to explain it to you manually"

"However in case one of you doesn't get it, don't feel too down once I find a material that can hold it, I'll write it down so that person can study later"  giving them a slight warning after all it's not everyone that had an A.I. chip that can successfully guide them.

"start!"

Soon after explaining the inscription shape and pattern, he motioned for them to start.

Just after a few minutes, a floating fireball appeared in the room. unexpectedly, the person who succeeded was neither the strongest Davis nor the active George but rather the weak-looking Alvin.

Unfortunately just like Elric, after a few seconds, the flame extinguished leaving Alvin in a state of mental exhaustion.

"Good job!" motioning for him to rest, Elric began to observe Davis and George.

Soon time passed and after about thirty minutes this time Davis was the one to succeed with his fireball a bit bigger and lasting a few seconds longer than Alvin probably Due to the fact that he'd been strengthened by an unknown fruit before.

Following the Same routine, after a few words of congratulations, Elric motioned for him to rest as he began to focus on George. Unfortunately, no matter how much time passed, George sat there motionless, unable to conjure up a fireball.

opening his eyes, George looked at Elric with a sad expression. According to his thoughts, he had failed his young masters' expectations

Thankfully Elric noticed this and quickly cheered him on.

"Don't be down George, as there's always another chance to try again" said Elric

Hearing the confidence in his young master's voice, a feeling of warmth surged in Davis' heart.

"Remember, we're all beginners on the road to wizardry, so don't feel too down if you fail once"

After Elric said this, George and Davis on the side nodded showing it was fine.

Clearing up the atmosphere, Elric began to tell them of his next plans.

"Although we have initially gained extraordinary power, however, we cannot afford to be complacent!"

"Do you remember how our family and friends died due to a slight rage of that river God?"

"Do you think your 10-second fireball and my two-minute fireball could kill that God?"

Hearing Elric talk of this, the three of them with clenched fists couldn't help but think of the family and friends they would never see again due to that incident.

Sensing their anger, A look of satisfaction showed on Elric's face.

"Good! That's why we need to work harder!"

Said Elric as he began to explain his plans.

"Firstly, the wizard system has just been created, so we need to study more, and think of ways to let out attacks become stronger and last longer without draining all our mental strength"

"Second! we need to find a material that can withstand magic inscriptions so that when we discover anyone with the ability to see magic particles, they can learn it from there instead of me describing it manually"

"And lastly, we need to hunt more magic beasts in order to gain more study materials and gain more inscriptions" hearing they were going to hunt more magic beasts, the three of them couldn't help but think of the flame slime from earlier coupled with the fireball just now, the three of suddenly had a look of enlightenment on their faces.

"Alright, that's all for now, if there's anything we need to do or anything you have in mind let me know"

Hearing this the three of them shook their heads indicating there was nothing they had to say, and so with excited expressions on their face the three of them left the room.

watching the three of them, Elric picked up a book to read.

"Sigh.... although it's a good start it's not enough

With a slight sigh, he started reading trying to clear his mind of distracting thoughts.
