“Se…Sera?”

They didn’t think that Jerome would actually come out with such a shocking remark. Helios and Sera both looked down.

Jerome’s parents were likewise baffled, and they immediately bowed their heads again towards Helios. They’re incredibly apologetic and embarrassed for their son’s actions.

“Your Majesty, we’re terribly sorry. Jerome… does not know what great honor he’s been given, that he…”

“It’s all because we raised our son wrong, Your Majesty. It’s our fault for raising him until now, not teaching him how to see what great honor Her Highness has…”

Nevertheless, though mixed with a hint of bashfulness, Jerome’s ardent gaze was fixed directly on Sera.

Rosé also looked back at Sera with a completely bewildered expression.

Sera shook her head immediately, wanting to explain to the little girl that Jerome’s feelings for herself weren’t of any consequence.

However, Rosé turned her head quickly.

“Not Sera! You caaaaaan’t! NEVEEEEEER!”

And so, that lazy afternoon, Rosé’s deafening outcry shook the entire imperial palace.

* * *

“Your Highness Rosé, if you just hear me out for a moment…”

“Rosé.”

Jerome and his parents soon went back home after the incident. Of course, the marquis and marchioness bowed and apologized profusely towards Rosé and Helios before they left. After which, Sera, Helios and the twins quickly returned to the Star Palace.

Sera and Helios had been very restless ever since Jerome dropped the bomb like that, because even after they had returned to the Star Palace, Rosé had yet to return to normal.

It had already been half an hour since Rosé climbed under the duvet with her stuffed bunny in her arms, refusing to show her face.

Sera and Helios were nervous—they feared that Rosé might cry even more than they had ever seen her cry before.

“Your Highness, does your heart hurt?”

Sera didn’t want her relationship with the twins to go south, especially when they would be separated for good in the near future.

As Sera had unintentionally taken Rosé’s first love from her, she felt exceedingly uncomfortable.

“But Rosé, why are you upset, huh? You’ve just been there for thirty minutes now.”

Ferre still didn’t seem to understand what had transpired earlier, and he persistently tried to flip over Rosé’s duvet.

Sera and Helios weren’t expecting that the sulky Rosé would come out from the covers any time soon. But to their surprise, Rosé fortunately sat up on the bed on her own.

Now sitting up on the bed, Rosé could be seen having a pout on her lips.

“I’m not angry. So Sera and Heli Oppa don’t have to do this.”

Sera and Helios briefly exchanged a glance with each other, startled by Rosé’s mature demeanor. A silent conversation passed between them—Is Rosé really okay? Or is she just reacting like this because she’s too shocked?

However, as if noticing what went on between Sera and Helios just now, Rosé narrowed her green eyes.

“I’m really fine.”

“Truly?”

“Rosé, do you want a hug?”

But Rosé hugged her bunny tighter and shook her head. Instead, she looked between Sera and Helios with a hint of resignation in her eyes. For some reason, she even looked sorry for them.

“Because Sera has to marry Heli Oppa anyway.”

“Cough!”

“Huh?”

One after another, Helios coughed and Sera asked back dazedly the moment Rosé dropped yet another bomb at them.

Their eyes met again, however they both averted their gazes, smiling awkwardly.

Normally, the two of them would have denied this and would have scolded Rosé for such words—that she shouldn’t say something like that so recklessly. However, both Sera and Helios remained tight-lipped this time.

Because, on one hand, their denial would fuel Rosé’s broken heart from the rejection she received from her first love. It’s the kind of pain that she had never experienced before.

Again, Rosé looked alternately between Sera and Helios. Her sharp senses yet again seemed to have picked up on their thoughts.

“And I don’t like Jerome anymore.”

Huu!

Rosé let out a huff of breath as she said this, shaking off her feelings for Jerome.

“I didn’t like him that much in the first place. I like people who like me.”

Sera and Helios exchanged one last look and a small nod. It was a signal for the adults to quickly support Rosé’s decision. And their expressions were filled with relief this time.

“Your Highness Rosé, you’ve become such a wonderful child.”

“Rosé, you’ve truly bloomed into a wise child who has a broad outlook on life. Sure enough, you’ll find someone you’ll like even more down the line.”

“Thank you for taking my side, Heli Oppa and Sera.”

Rosé smiled with satisfaction, proud that she overcame her first love that did not bear fruit.

However, as clueless as ever, Ferre didn’t know what was going on at all. He tilted his head to the side at an angle, then asked Rosé seriously.

“Rosé, you liked Jerome? Since when?”

Rosé looked at his twin brother with a hint of pity in her eyes because he remained unaware until now.

Embarrassed, Ferre turned to Helios and tugged on his older brother’s arm.

“Heli Hyung, Heli Hyung, you knew that Rosé likes Jerome?”

Smiling awkwardly, Helios carried Ferre up on his lap. Even though no verbal answer was given, his older brother’s actions were enough for Ferre to realize.

“Sera, Sera. You also knew? That Rosé likes Jerome?”

Ferre gazed upon Sera with an intense gaze, perhaps saying, ‘Please tell me I’m not the only one who didn’t know.’

However, as Sera couldn’t bear to lie to Ferre, who was still on Helios’ lap, she touched his cute, plump cheek.

Thus, he realized that he truly was the only one who remained oblivious.

With an indignant expression on his face, Ferre muttered.

“Why am I the only one who didn’t know?!”
