CH 9.2

“Excuse me. I’m here to pick up my kid?”

A blunt face fell from the foggy window. It was Imsoo. Yaba’s heart almost fell out.

“I heard he left while he was out to buy cigarettes. I’ll take our kid now.”

Cha Yiseok took a sharp breath and clicked his tongue. And he surprised with himself for being so irritated by Imsoo’s appearance. He turned his head and stared at Yaba, who sat on his thigh. Yaba is wet all over, only biting his lips. His shaking eyes and hand gestures made even the viewer uneasy.

“I don’t care if there are bystanders.”

Cha Yiseok snorted. Yaba covered his wet lips and red face the back of his hand. The genitals on his buttocks were still hot and erect. The lower body that was in contact seemed to melt. If he got out of this car now, it would be all over. He would never go to that villa again, and Cocaine would be safe. Meanwhile, Imsoo stood firm. Yaba moved to the passenger seat. He tried to open the car door, but it didn’t open because Cha Yiseok had locked it earlier. Yaba said in a hoarse voice.

“Open it.”

There was a rattling sound from behind, and after a moment the door opened. Yaba opened the car door and stretched his legs out.

“Wait.”

Cha Yiseok took out his wallet from his back pocket. Through the open zipper, his thing rises. Cha Yiseok pulled out five sheets of paper and handed them to Yaba. Yaba looked at the blue cheque placed in his hand. His head went blank thinking about what this meant with the number of circles in it. Did the kiss from a while ago mean the same thing as this cheque? Right, the kiss was a cheque. The kiss was a cheque. Thinking like that, the kiss that melted his soul felt faint. After a long silence, a voice was heard over his forehead.

“Is it insufficient?”

Cha Yiseok opened his wallet again. Yaba turned around and got out of the car. When the cold wind blew against his lips and the back of his neck, he realized that the places were all covered in saliva. He got into Imsoo’s car and didn’t look at him once until the door closed. Imsoo sat in the driver’s seat and started the engine.

“How did it go? The boss is waiting for you, so give him a call. Fasten your belt.”

Imsoo looked through the rearview mirror.

“What’s wrong with your forehead?”

Yaba glared. It was the first and the last time; it was the first time he showed himself completely to Cha Yiseok, and it would be the last time. But this ignorant bastard ruined everything. Ruined everything! Yaba kicked the back of Imsoo’s seat.

“If you don’t want to be thrown into the river, quit it.”

He said in a low voice. Yaba’s kicking grew stronger. A sigh could be heard through the kicking noise.

“Don’t throw a tantrum carelessly. You know who Director Cha is interested in, don’t you?”

Yaba stopped kicking. He glared at Imsoo with his mouth tightly shut.

“What am I… throwing a tantrum about?”

“Don’t talk rudely. There’s something about you. You don’t even notice what guests say about you sometimes, do you?”

“What am I throwing a tantrum about?”

“I said don’t speak informally. Anyway, I’ll pretend I hadn’t seen what happened earlier so you also should forget it happened.”

Imsoo looked at Cha Yiseok’s car through the side mirror.

“Don’t be swayed. That kind of person, once they decide to be cruel, can destroy people to the very bottom.”

“Don’t pretend you’re looking out for me, I feel like I’m going to vomit. What you saw today, go to Giha and tell him. So you can get commended. Dogs live with the pleasure of being praised by their owners.”

This son of a bitch who stole Yaba’s balls gave him a fierce look.

“Fasten your seatbelt. Don’t talk nonsense.”

He added that he focused on driving. Yaba fastened his seat belt and leaned back in the comfortable chair. In his tightened hand, a check crinkled and rustled. He held out the light blue paper so it didn’t get wrinkled. A cold color engraved on his chest.

Like Imsoo said, were his feelings becoming overwhelming without realizing? Was that why Cha Yiseok drew such a boundary? Why couldn’t he handle his emotions more sophisticatedly?

As they turned the corner, Cha Yiseok’s car was pushed out of the view of the side mirror. Now it was all over. Tomorrow he would look at him with unfamiliar eyes, and he would be preoccupied with Cocaine. Making that man promise before he took off his mask was the best thing Yaba had done this year so far… He recited it in his mind. Even if he became more greedy in the future, it didn’t matter.

Imsoo’s car drove around the corner and disappeared. Cha Yiseok started the engine. The sleek Pontiac slipped into the road. A slightly excited hand turned the steering wheel. He remembered Chairman Cha’s expression and the guy who made him do that, and let out a laugh. Between the open zippers, desire under his underwear stubbornly bulged. Not being able to easily break free from the afterglow of fever, Cha Yiseok grabbed a cigarette and bit it. He filled his empty mouth with strong cigarette smoke and let out a long puff.

Yaba, Yaba… cheap drugs.

He licked the saliva in his mouth with his tongue. The face hidden under the mask was like estrus. There were two types of guys who work in high-end brothels. Either they blatantly seduce their partner to get them out of their lonely life, or they don’t really care. Either way, the fact that they live a low life didn’t change. He thought it was obvious when he asked for a kiss in the first place. But just a kiss… He intended to leave even though he had mounted him on his lap.

Seeing how he talked about the bugs, there must be great trauma. He was also a guy he didn’t want to run into again because he seemed familiar with his dead sister. In any case, choosing him for the job was an excellent choice and a neat finish. Today, he wanted to celebrate by himself without anyone disturbing.

When he picked up his phone, there were already a dozen missed calls. It was Chairman Cha. He was about to throw it in the passenger seat, but a vibration sound was one step ahead.

“Ahh—!! Urgh—! Go away! Don’t touch me!!”

“Hold the legs!”

Cha Yiseok received an urgent call and drove back to the villa. When he arrived, Cha Myunghwan was twisting his body in pain. Chairman Cha’s wrinkles deepened. All of the needles were pulled out due to Cha Myunghwan’s movements, and blood flowed from the empty hole. Cha Yiseok looked down at Cha Myunghwan, who had become scrawny. The brothers’ hostility came with a more beautiful melody1 than any other music. His lively appearance satisfied his vision more than any other famous painting.

One, two, three! The male nurses coordinated and put Cha Myunghwan on the bed and pressed down his legs. Dr. Yang quickly gave Cha Myunghwan a pain reliever.

“Ugh—! Kill me! Just kill me—!”

Cha Myunghwan struggled and rolled over on the floor. The needles were stabbed countless times, and now the blood vessels are in tatters. Cancer cells that had infiltrated everywhere ate his bones and melted his intestines. Now he had been occupied by cancer cells, even to his surrounding organs. No matter how much he took painkillers, the pain of rolling around in a fire pit did not go away. Cha Myunghwan grabbed Cha Yiseok’s trouser leg. I want to stop suffering now. Please! Please…

A quiet dawn came to the villa where winter had just entered. As the wind blew the leaves, the Doberman pricked up his ears. The bodyguards also lit flashlights and walked around the villa. After a time like war, there was silence in the interior. Away from the hustle and bustle of the world, the dawn crouched and waited for the morning. Cha Yiseok remained in the room alone and watched Cha Myunghwan’s emaciated appearance. His approach to death was more sublime than any other seeker.
