Chapter 14: Bald Cat

Last night, Xu Jian did a long time of psychological construction only to allow himself to ease over the shock brought to him by the ‘I bumped into Qin Chen showering without closing the door’ thing.

The top of the zippered pet bag is a round glass with many tiny round holes in it which is used for ventilation and for light to go through.

Xu Jian lay listlessly on the sofa, mourning his abs. The four-pack abs that he finally trained are now unified in four to one. In response to Qin Chen’s inquiry, he only looked at him lazily:

“Meow…”

Suit yourself ba, I can make do with anything.

Anyway, pets can’t be on the plane so they must be checked in.

Qin Chen saw the white cat’s whiskers bent down with no spirit. He looked at the pet bag again and said to himself:

“Don’t you like this color?”

Raising his hand to the soft uninterrupted Xu Jian on the sofa, who was paralyzed and rubbed his face. Qin Chen placed his forehead against the cat’s face with a coaxing voice:

After getting into the pet bag, Xu Jian found that the bag was unexpectedly soft inside.

This sound is sharper and more piercing than the sound of chalk across the blackboard at school.

Qin Chen’s assistant, Xiao Nan, and the driver will pick them up at the airport. After breakfast, Qin Chen watched TV with his cat in his arms. When he saw the laptop commercial on TV, he rubbed his cat’s head while saying to himself:

“My laptop should also be changed.”

Xu Jian who secretly used Qin Chen’s laptop until the battery is dead looked up at him with a guilty conscience, “Meow~”

Qin Chen’s hooked Xu Jian’s chin with his finger and asked with a smile, “Milk, do you also think it’s time to change?”

Xu Jian thought that he could not answer this. If he wasn’t sure that there was no surveillance at home, he suspected that Qin Chen saw him stealing his laptop.

Looking at Qin Chen for two seconds, Xu Jian guiltily looked away and pretended that he was watching TV.

Not long after, Xiao Nan called to confirm the time with Qin Chen, saying that they were already on the way to pick him up and ask if he had anything to bring.

Qin Chen said that they could just come over directly. Out of the corner of his eyes, an ultra-thin notebook swept on the light of the TV, and he asked Xiao Nan to help him look at the notebook again.

Xu Jian heard Qin Chen tell Xiao Nan that his current laptop’s battery capacity is not working, it should be because it had been with him for a few years so the function is not working.

Qin Chen remembered that he turned off the device the night before, it showed an 85% of battery. As a result, when he went to turn it on this morning, it unexpectedly prompted that there was insufficient power to turn it on.

Xu Jian who was on Qin Chen’s lap became more and more guilty to the point of almost holding his tail into a ball.

If a cat can whistle, Xu Jian would show Qin Chen on the spot as if nothing had happened to prove his innocence.

But then Xu Jian thought again, no matter what, Qin Chen is not likely to connect his notebook’s abnormality with a kitten. What did he do with such a guilty conscience?

Thinking of this, Xu Jian’s tense nerves relaxed a bit but he also knew in his heart that the next time he uses the device, he can’t use up all the battery, and at least give Qin Chen a little bit of power to turn on the device.

After opening the door, Qin Chen did not go out of the way but stood by the door holding the cat with one hand and the other on the doorknob. He looked down at the girl in front of him, the impatience in his eyes flashed:

“What are you doing here?”

Hearing Qin Chen’s words, Xu Jian subconsciously opened his mouth: “Meow?”

This is not your assistant?

The girl didn’t mind that he was blocking the door, she pursed her lips and smiled rather sheepishly, and spoke in a thin voice.

“I heard from dad that you’re going to Xincheng today to film a movie, I came to see you off.”

After saying that, the girl handed the delicate gift bag in her hand to Qin Chen and smiled, showing her dimple.

“This is the gift I carefully selected for you yesterday.”

The girl looked around 165[cm] with light makeup on her face, wearing a mint green long trench coat, and a velvet dress inside with a pair of short boots. The slightly curly long hair is about to reach the waist, the trench coat has lotus leaf sleeves. A hand raised just revealed a slim and white wrist……

Judging from the clothes on her body, it was evident that she has taken the heart to see Qin Chen.

However, Qin Chen did not appreciate her, nor did he take the bag she handed to him, rather, he asked expressionlessly:

“Liu Qianqian, who told you that I live here?”

Ah Chen: The use of “Ah” indicates familiarity, though they’re not really familiar with each other. (*me is angery*)

Qin Chen said with a stern face: “No buts.”

Xu Jian: “……”

Seeing Qin Chen’s attitude towards Liu Qianqian, Xu Jian finally understood why the outside world said he was difficult to get along with and not easy to get close to.

Based on Qin Chen’s current attitude and tone, Xu Jian felt that it was for the sake of his face that others could greet him.

For the delicately pretty girl like this, it’s either a hopeless steel bar or a mosquito coil bending.

If the financer behind Qin Chen knows that he is privately involved with other women, will he make things difficult for him?

“Ah Chen, when did you raised a kitten ah? It’s so cute!”

Liu Qianqian reached out to touch the cat in Qin Chen’s bosom but before she could touch the cat’s fur, Qin Chen dodged. At the same time, Xu Jian also meowed and climbed up Qin Chen’s arm to his shoulder.

After squatting on Qin Chen’s shoulder, Xu Jian opened his mouth to Liu Qianqian with dissatisfaction: “Meow——”

Don’t mess it up and touch, it will be a bald cat!
