Chapter 183 Trying To Play Necromancer?

Drac smirks and takes another sip of his wine. "Go ahead. I'll be watching you."

"I'll take you both down to the ground." Hisha taunts Drac as he raises his glass in the air.

"I'm not afraid of you," Drac smirks as he looks over to Vanas. "He on the other hand is out of our league."

[Tribal chief Vanas is out of your league, host]

HTC put up numerous laughing emojis to mock its host.

Internally facepalming, Hisha let out a sigh as he responded telepathically to his system, 'I will blame this body I look like, nothing more, nothing less.'

Hisha raises a brow and blurts out, "what are you talking about? He is just a tribal chief."

"And you can't even see his face. I bet he has some sort of special spell on his body that allows him to hide from our sight." Drac responds.

"What are you even saying? That makes no sense, what is so special about him aside from higher-ranked power?" Hisha questions in a whisper, getting annoyed by Drac's comments.

Drac stretches his hand out on Hisha's forehead, checking his temperature. "You're flushed. Your body is heating up. Why don't you go outside for a moment, cool yourself off."

"Really? That's the solution?" Hisha snarls at Drac and takes his hand away from his forehead. He picks up a knife from the table and stabs at the table sending shards of wood flying.

"What the fuck did you do that for! This is the best party I've been to in ages. And you ruin it with your whining." Drac hisses in Hisha's face.

All attention was focused on Hisha and Drac's exchange.

The bartender stops serving alcohol, and the guests turn around to watch the argument between the two men.

Noticing they had suddenly become the center of attraction, Hisha quickly pulls up his hood and storms out.

"So, what brings you to my establishment, Count Vanas?" Cassius asks.

Vanas glances over at the man walking out and smirks, "My beautiful wife is looking for someone."

Holding onto Hisha's arm tightly, Vanas tilts his head in a bid to get a better glimpse at the face, "young lad..."

Hisha could already feel his disguise wearing off and it was best if Drac didn't see him morph into another while still in the Tavern.

Shrugging Vanas' hand away, Hisha pushes past him to leave.

Vanas stares at his hand, slightly disturbed by what had happened, 'that aura, it felt almost familiar...'

"Dear, are you..."

Ignoring his wife's concerns, Vanas follows after the stranger, "no, wait...stop."

Hearing Vanas call out to stop, Hisha stops dead in his tracks outside the Tavern.

Stopping time, he lets out a sigh of relief at being left alone and turns around to see Vanas suspended in motion, frozen in place.

Hisha walks in circles around Vanas, adjusting his messy and smoothing out the creases on his coat. "You got some nerve trying to get to me!"

He lets out a laugh at being the only one excluding Vanas' wife who could see through his cloak.

Hisha pauses, "I may have misjudged you. Your territory, but I would never lose to a low-level beast like you."

Patting Vanas' head, he let out a laugh at how funny it felt to watch him in such a vulnerable position.

With no one in sight and the street dead empty, Hisha shoves his hand into his pockets and looks at the full moon.

'HTC, it is time I can change into the form I want, don't you think?'

[.... loading]

Ding!

[You are entitled to a change amounting to two times]

'That's fine by me. I have one perfect candidate for this.' Hisha says with a chuckle.

[By any chance, are you trying to play necromancer?]

'It would be appreciated if you go along with the body I want!'

Best

Time resumes and Hisha adjusts his appearance into a pale-skinned vampire male with short green hair.

The clothes he wore before were changed to a more presentable attire; a black coat, a hood that was used to mask his face, with a white shirt underneath. A pair of navy blue pants and brown boots complete the outfit.

His nails extended to claws and his eyes now turned red, he feels powerful, as if all his life he has always wanted to be this way.

Vanas' jaw drops as he looks at the man standing before him now. 'I could have sworn I had followed a lad out.'

"Is there any problem, Count Vanas?" Hisha turns around to face Vanas, his voice sounding firm and confident.

'The same aura.' Vanas points out, feeling uncomfortable with the man standing before him now.

It was almost as though the lad had transformed into this unidentified male before him.

Siadra runs towards her husband in worry, "dear, is there a problem?"

Vanas glares at Hisha, "what is this? Did you transform into an unknown individual?"

'My! My! They really are smarter than I had expected.' Hisha thinks as he looks at the two with a grin.

Before the rest could come out of the Tavern, he casts an opaque barrier to hide them from the view of the others.

Clutching onto his wife's shoulder, he pulls her closer to himself to give her a sense of assurance.

Vanas smiles in amusement at the way she had tried to comfort him even though they were in a situation that seemed dangerous. "I believe in you, dear."

'Uggh! Such a loving gaze, I want that.'

[You have several who has done that to you in your harem if I need to be specific]

'Thanks for the reminder.' Hisha deadpans and immediately shakes off the thought as he proceeds.

Pointing at Vanas, "Count Vanas, why don't we go somewhere else for a while? Somewhere a little more private than this place..."

'Somewhere I could whoop your ass and get a good fight out of it!' Hisha completes in his thoughts.

Siadra shakes her head, uncomfortable with the idea.

The more he stares at Siadra coming up at the wrong time and joining in to meet Vanas, the more his blood boils at the thought of not being able to go all out for the fear of her getting killed if he and Vanas did fight.

"It wasn't an option, Countess." Hisha says, "I am not here to cause trouble or anything of the sort, but you see..."

Vanas interrupts, "have we met before? You feel familiar."

'Of course, you can feel some sort of familiarity, my aura isn't one to be missed.' Hisha thinks as a smirk slowly builds till he bursts into maniacal laughter.

"Do I make you feel this way?" Hisha asks Vanas, "my name is Derek, and I believe we've crossed paths numerous times before."

Unable to grasp where the discussion was headed, Vanas pushes Siadra behind him before he continues. "If we have met, why don't you pull down that hood?"

[Why did you choose that path?]

HTC places several question marks on the screen.

'What scares one more than a horrid past coming to bite hard?' Hisha ponders as he steps closer to Vanas.

"Asking me to take off my hood? That's a bold move, but I will do so." Hisha chuckles, shaking his head at how this wasn't going to end well for Vanas once he gets a glimpse of the face and body he had under the hood.

Siadra holds onto her husband's hand tightly, "something doesn't feel right!"

The moment the words left her lips, she felt a cold chill run through her spine. She closes her eyes trying to get away from the feeling.

With a devious smile, Hisha removes the hood covering his face. "Hello, younger brother!"

"Derek?!" Vanas gawks in disbelief, taking two steps back.

Hisha grins as he takes another two steps forward, his arms raised high above his head to show off his muscles. "So! Does my face ring a bell to you, now?"

Siadra lets out a scream upon seeing Derek, dropping to buttocks and clutching onto her husband's arm as the couple backs up.

"C'mon! Are you happy to see your elder brother?!" Hisha laughs as he walks towards them.

[Who would be happy to see you in this body they recognize?]

"Stay away!!!" Siadra screams at the top of her lungs, making a clench of her fists while she watches Derek set off in flames.
