Chapter 173 Unpredictable Action Of Their Lord

Wiping down his face, Draegul tries to calm himself as he exhales.

"My lord..." He pauses, trying his best to think of his next words and how he could construct them in a way that would be meaningful.

Starting with his grudges, he raises his head and takes a glance at the remaining tribal heads.

Although he did try to be anonymous about his words, his gaze fixated on Vanas and a few times on Mich or Aster had been a warning sign for the three.

"I am not much of a talker..."

Hisha nods his head, understandably he was better off than the two who still sat silently with nods in agreement with Draegul's words.

"I hate disturbances and wish to live simply..."

Draegul tilts his head as he stares at Vanas with an evil glint flashing in his eyes, "any who ticks me off gets their fair share."

Vanas couldn't help but feel amused by the words, winking in his direction.

It had taken him just a few minutes to have his broken jaw and nose healed and this had only boosted his morale on getting on the nerves of Draegul.

"What happens if that's how the individual's behavior is?" Vanas counters.

All facepalm at Vanas' question, knowing he was speaking for himself.

"When that happens, you will have your answer." Draegul states coldly.

Turning his attention to Hisha, Draegul's features soften.

Hisha blinks at the screen in front of him, it was unexpected for him to gain points from Draegul, and wondered what could have triggered it.

'Am I gaining their fear or is it just respect?' Hw questions HTC.

[Both, the higher the fear and willingness to do as you please, the higher the charm points]

Hisha's face fell at the explanation, it had only meant one thing, it was more respect from Draegul.

Thinking about it, he attributes it to him going out of his way to ask about their welfare.

"I seek vengeance on the individual who had taken the one who I loved." Draegul clenches his hand as his eyes glow in rage at the thought of the person being one of his overlord's harem.

'Why the hell did this get all complicated?' He thinks with regret.

Hisha furrows his brows as it had not been recorded as to who had killed Draegul's beloved nor did it look like he was willing to say it.

Murmurs erupt among his tribal chiefs who all discuss who it could have been.

Wae on the other hand had a glare fixated on Vanas, warning him not to provoke more than he could bite.

Taking the clue, Vanas rolls his eyes and scoffs but reluctantly agrees to the warning.

He had struck at a wound that had kept Draegul vengeful and majorly silent.

He still had his Countess and could not relate with most of them who had no spouse excluding Nezrugg and Elkhazel.

"Once I get my hands on the individual, death will be imminent!" Draegul concludes with the thought of Yuria in his grasp.

Hisha sweat drops at how deep the conversation was headed. 'Uhh does this dude not have woes? Troubles for crying out loud!'

Draegul blinks, realizing he had spoken a little out of his usual self, but could also not hide his despair and vengeful spirit, not after witnessing the very sword of his beloved used in battle.

Clearing his throat, he turns his attention to the main issue. "My people have suffered no casualties as we have maintained our peace and power rank for centuries."

Hisha's smirk was clearly visible at the obvious bragging of the dragon tribal chief.

'Typical of the dragons and they are on an island and it should be well protected as described, right, HTC?'

[They live up to their power level with a majority having outstanding prowess]

Those words felt like a stab to Hisha's heart as he had not witnessed a single one of the harem who had to participate in being one of his tribe.

[The only downside to their females is that they can only maintain their prowess for a millennial, after that they are just like the common people with Sux at their disposal]

"How are your people managing the resources sent weekly?" Hisha randomly asks, his gaze firm.

Draegul stares at Hisha in shock, blinking in disbelief. 'This isn't the same person who didn't care about what we did or our people. What has changed?'

The rest of the tribal chiefs all stiffly turn their heads in Hisha's direction, also in a state of surprise at the direct question.

This had been one of the reasons they had connived to have their overlord taken down–the fear of the unpredictable enemy enforcing rules only made them rebellious to have their desired freedom to do whatever they pleased.

Even if it meant the whole land would be thrown into anarchy, they were ready to tear down all that Hisha had built.

The repetition of the charm points reminded him so much about the desire points he could accumulate from his harem members and was grateful he could finally see what impact he was making on everyone.

"My lord, are you feeling well?" Draegul questions, feeling a bit uneasy by the question.

He could tell his question had turned all attention to him as they all stared at him with similar expressions.

It had also made him understand that some traits of the previous host weren't that welcomed and he needed to iron them out.

'Only when they still prove to be rebellious after I have done my part, they will witness my wrath.' Hisha concludes with his thoughts.

Instead of directly answering, he gives his answer in the form of a question. "Have I ever been ill?"

Silence.

They all stare at Hisha knowing he understood the motive behind the question.

"You can speak, I'm listening, Draegul." Hisha urges with a smirk.

"We are doing well thanks to the careful consideration." Draegul replies with a bow.

"I know you are doing well with your tribe. Any complaints can be directly tendered to me later on." Hisha assures.

They had all their attention drawn to Vanas who was the next in line to be queried.

"What?! Why are you fuckers..." Vanas pauses at the indirect curse that includes their overlord.

'Fuck!' He curses at his bad luck, averting his gaze elsewhere.
