Jiang Chengyan came out of the interrogation room and went straight to the director’s office, not for any other reason, just to take a leave of absence. After Sun Ting’s confession, the director readily gave Jiang Chengyan three days of leave, but only after all the information was handed over to the court.

“Hua’an, say… this director really…. The case has already been closed,  and they can do well in the follow-up work without me. Why do they have to hand it over to the court before granting my leave request.” Jiang Chengyan peeled an orange while complaining.

Listening to the casual coquettish meaning in Jiang Chengyan’s tone, Ling Hua’an raised the corner of his mouth and said with a smile, “because you can work harder, that’s why your director does this. It shows that he believes in your ability. I can walk around freely now and don’t need to be guarded. So, you can work at ease.”

“Captain Jiang, are you hot? You’re sweating. Let’s wash together.”

“I’ll help you.”

“Hua’an, don’t…”
