CH 18

In the early morning of October 30, 3020, although it’s only four hours, Jiang Chengyan slept soundly. When he arrived at the Police Station in the morning, he felt so refreshed, like he did not have the fatigue of staying up late. Compared with the other people with two eyes and a haggard face, they’re simply in two different states.

Yao Min yawned and asked strangely, “Captain, why are you in such good spirits? It shouldn’t be…”

Jiang Chengyan retorted, “Damn girl, what do you mean by that? How come I can’t be in good spirits?”

“Yesterday you clearly…”

Yao Min frowned and said, “If you just want to get rid of Li Jiang/Guo’s entanglement, then Yao Jiang can do it too, did we think wrong?

“According to my investigation, Yao Jiang is not a native of Huacheng. His family was poor and lived in the rural area of Pingcheng. He can go to college because his parents borrow money to pay tuition fees. The tuition fees later depend on his work-study program. Yao Min said in disbelief, “So Ma Cuiping has compromised?”

Liu Ran sighed sadly, “Ma Cuiping is a woman with low education, she depends on Li Jiang/Guo to survive. She file for a divorce because she is really scared of being beaten, and she doesn’t know if she has the ability to support her daughter. Instead of letting Li Qiuran follow her, she let her follow Jiang/Guo, at least he can support her.”

Yao Min said with disgust, “Why can’t she support her? There are so many single mothers living with their children. Even knowing that Li Jian/Guo’s violence almost killed people, she still had the heart to leave Li Qiuran behind. She is not worthy of being a mother.”

“Later she remarried and had a son, her husband was honest and faithful, and she had a good life. She wanted to get back the custody of her daughter, but when she went there, she was beaten. Even her current husband was also injured, so she gave up.”

Yao Min nodded, “yes, Captain.”

Seeing Jiang Chengyan look over, Guo Hai took the initiative to speak, “Then let me tell you about our investigation results. Chen Miao1 and I checked Jiang Changping’s financial situation, we found nothing other than money disputes with Jiang Cheng.
