Upon awakening, it wasn't long before the one-eyed demon asked his 5 elite guards about what had happened with Xavier after their exchange just hours before.

The last thing he remembered was seeing his 5 closest subordinates laughing between themselves across the corridor before things became hazy. Which just made him more curious as to what had happened between them and Xavier, since he couldn't remember the last time they had genuinely laughed.

And after being questioned by their boss, they told him most of what had happened with Xavier, skipping out any of the details that might cause the youth any problems.

However, they were surprised to find that their boss was quite tame and was eager to listen to them, which was rare, and upon hearing that he gave them names, he just smiled to himself and laughed.

"That little bastard was arrogant enough to think that he could name us."

Despite saying that, he didn't seem to dislike the name, and compared to the names Xavier had given his 5 elite guards, Goliath was a pretty decent name.

And from the fact that Xavier had called himself David, it seemed as though he was confident that in the future he could defeat the one-eyed demon.

"Then I guess I'll have to wait for little 'David' to show up in the future and show me what he's made of," he said before returning to his usual self.

Putting 2 and 2 together, the 5 that had formed an agreement with Xavier were starting to doubt whether he would actually keep his end of the arrangement.

It was starting to seem as though just like the one-eyed demon had said, Xavier was going to one day show up out of nowhere, and they knew he was reckless and crazy enough to do so first-hand.

But even if he was planning to, if he wanted to face the one-eyed demon and have a chance, it wouldn't be any time soon. To reach the level of their boss, even Xavier, who was clearly an abnormal talent, would need at least a few years of intense training.

Meanwhile, getting such training would be almost impossible for the youth, since the number of life-or-death battles that the one-eyed demon had been in was too many to count.

And it was that experience and their boss' monstrous nature that made it so that they were completely confident that he could never lose.

Or at least that's what they said to themselves.

But they were massively underestimating Xavier and had no idea how quickly the host of the Gangster System could develop himself and his gang.

-

After speaking among themselves in a relaxed manner for a short while, the one-eyed demon and his men quickly reverted to their stern selves.

Strong people make easy times, and easy times make weak people.

They couldn't allow themselves to start relaxing or allow their emotions and thoughts to get in the way of their duties. With that in mind, they all got straight to work.

And even the one-eyed demon started handling things personally for the first time in a while, seemingly faring slightly better mentally and wanting to drown out anything on his mind by working.

What better way to cope with all sorts of trauma than to continue chasing money and power?

Meanwhile, Xavier was walking home pretty slowly and outwardly appeared relaxed despite carrying such a large amount of money, but was keeping his guard up.

Paying attention to his surroundings and remaining vigilant, Xavier was also deep in thought as he walked around at night.

He avoided areas where he was likely to encounter trouble, not out of fear, but for convenience. As he did so, he collected his thoughts and eventually started walking faster.

-

Although street law requires all individuals wishing to carry or possess a firearm in or through the City to obtain a license from the NYPD, there were many that didn't adhere to such laws.

And so they would be much more likely to use their firearms to commit crimes. It was simply because there'd be less of a likelihood of getting caught as it'd be more difficult to trace the weapon back to them.

Aside from that, most ruffians out and about this late at night would at least have some sort of blade or at least brass knuckles with them to give them some sort of advantage over their target.

While they were also likely to move in groups, making them even more dangerous.

Just imagining how many people would swarm around him to try and rob him if they knew how much money he was carrying worried Xavier, so he started to pick up the pace.

Experiencing it numerous times, Xavier knew that real fights were very different from the sparring sessions he had with those in the Outlaw Gang. It was even incomparable to the fights in the Wild Dog Fight Club, where there were still a few rules. In addition, most fight club members would avoid striking their opponents with deadly blows out of respect.

But in a real fight, there were no such restrictions or honour.

As long as one came out on top, it didn't matter how they did it. And although Xavier was proficient in most forms of combat, he still had to be careful roaming the streets alone so late at night.

Especially with the amount of money that he was carrying.

And everything he had experienced previously was only on a small scale, and he wasn't planning on finding out what it was like on a grand scale any time soon.

-

With all that in mind, Xavier rushed home and thankfully didn't have any issues along the way.

Once again he found Connor sleeping. He then got ready to sleep as quietly as he could, and placed the duffel bag next to him, believing it was most safe beside him.

However, Xavier was struggling to fall asleep with all that was still on his mind as he lay there in contemplation for quite a while.

-

After all, he had seen from the one-eyed demon and his 5 closest subordinates, Xavier couldn't help but want to change his intentions with them.

If he could somehow get them to work under him and get the one-eyed demon to become an executive of the Outlaw Gang, the power of his gang would increase exponentially.

However, being able to suppress and tame such a figure would be impossible with Xavier and the gang's current capabilities.

But that's not to say it would be impossible in the future.

Meanwhile, from all they had said in his presence, he had gathered quite a bit. From it, he had come up with a few possible reasons for why they were the way they were.

And the only way to confirm which of his theories was correct was to get Zack to look into them. However, he knew that Zack, Eddie and Rachel already had a lot on their plate, and out of all the units, theirs currently had the most to deal with.

So, he decided he would get him to look into it at a later date. He was also sure that finding anything about it would be much more challenging than everything else Zack had done so far.

The reason being, the Wolf Gang weren't sitting ducks and wouldn't leave their information out in the open to be collected by Zack. Meanwhile, the 5 elite guards serving the one-eyed demon had already proven their abilities when they ascertained Xavier's identity, despite his efforts to be careful.

So if they could find that out so easily, it was fair to assume that they could also conceal information just as easily. And the fact that they didn't even have any names would just make it even harder to discover anything about them.

But all Xavier could do was hope that they hadn't also looked into Connor and Achara, and that they wouldn't keep tabs on him. Along with trust in the capabilities of those that he had recruited.

-

Closing his eyes to sleep, images of the 2 women being killed flashed in his mind and that seemed to be what was bothering Xavier the most.

However, the reason it was bothering him was that he hadn't been affected after seeing it take place. He was almost subconsciously trying to make himself feel some sort of way by replaying the scene in his head.

But he wasn't bothered in the slightest by what he had seen itself, which was a worrying thing to realise.

Despite that, he smiled to himself, and he had no reason not to.

Although he had almost lost his life and had seen 2 women be killed, he had won over a million dollars. He also completed the mission that the system had assigned him.

Along with all of that, he found out quite a lot about what the one-eyed demon and his 5 elite guards were like, while they reminded him just how real everything he was getting into was.

And with that, he was able to fend off his thoughts enough to fall asleep and all he could do was look towards the future.

However, while sleeping he suddenly sprung up and attacked the large figure that woke him...
