■Chapter 2 【New Scenery in the Renowned Nagumo Family】

◆Part1【The Person Next to Me Isn’t Just Blabbering and Delirious, But Also Dissing Me.】

That day, our class had a seat change.

Seat changes are a big event for me.

If I had to sit in a spot with a bunch of noisy people around me, I would have trouble studying in class and during lunch break.

It was best for me to keep my seat in the corner of the classroom, but there was no way I was going to start a movement to stop the seat change. Even if I were to take the lead, no one would follow me.

And thus, it was time for the fateful long homeroom.

The homeroom teacher’s handmade raffle determined our new seats.

As a result, I didn’t get the best position, the left corner of the classroom, but I was able to get a good spot next to it.

I pretended to study on my own, but I am concerned about the result of the lottery.

Yua still hadn’t decided where she would sit.

At last the moment arrives when all the seats around me are occupied.

“Really now, I’m next to Nagumo-kun?”

Ousaki was the last one to move into the seat to my left.

“It’s too bad it wasn’t Yua-chi, huh?”

Bending down, Ousaki whispered into my ear so that only I could hear.

“I’m fine with anyone next to me as long as I can concentrate on my studies. That’s why I don’t want Ousaki-san to be next to me.”

Ousaki smiled as she put her hand on her cheek and uttered this exotic word.

【Cabrón】

Ousaki turned away from me as she fired those words at me.

I knew a little bit of Spanish because my father had been to Mexico many times.

”Cabrón” translates as “son of a b*tch,” a word that should never be spoken in a Spanish-speaking country.

I had thought that Ousaki’s attitude had softened recently, but at this rate, it seems that I shouldn’t let my guard down yet. If I had to do this, I would have preferred to have a stranger, even if it was someone from the other side of the room. That way, I would have been left alone.

What can I say, I’m sure that I’ve ended up in a seat that might be a hindrance to my study.

Translator’s Afterword:

I’m not 100% sure with the English translation of the Spanish word. If there’s any native Spanish speakers or at least, well-versed with the language, please let me know if I messed it up or what in the comments, thanks in advance.
