Turning on the faucet in the washroom behind the grounds, I literally had to cool my head.

Despite the pain, fortunately I didn’t pass out and made it here on my own.

Well, if I had passed out there, there would have been no one to help me… They were all demons who were continuing the game without regard to whether I was taking off or not.

I guess it was for the best, because although I was still in pain, I didn’t seem to be a monster, and I had a legitimate excuse to get out of that hellhole. If I had remained in the midst of a group of male monsters who acted only out of a desire for Yua’s approval, something even more miserable might have been waiting for me.

I was now grateful for the heat, which made it depressing to go outside.

Because the cold water felt just right, and it felt so good.

And so I soaked in the water for a while.

“Is that you, Yua? What’s wrong?”

I answered, still holding the water against the back of my head. There were no boys in this deserted place, so I was able to reply without hesitation.

“Shinji, is your head okay?”

“Well, there’s a better way to ask, isn’t there? I understand what you’re trying to say though.”

“You looked like you had a really bad fall earlier.”

Yua, with a worried look on her face, reached out to me regardless of the fact that my hair was still wet.

“It was just a little bump. Well, it’s not even a bump. The pain has already started to subside, so I’m fine.”

“I see. I’m so glad~. It’s all thanks to your muscle training.”

“No, I don’t think you can work out the back of your head.”

“Your hair’s gone all wet, you know?”

“Yeah, it’s this hot anyway. Just give it a minute and it’ll dry out.”

I tried to bring my hand to my hair to wipe the water out of my hair.

I noticed Yua in front of me, peering intently at me.

“What is it?”

I stopped my hand and asked.

“No, nothing. Do you want to use this?”

Yua pointed to a towel that was hooked around her neck.

“No thanks… I’m fine already.”

I had been thinking about the possibility that Yua’s towel was used.

It’s not that I don’t want to use it. Quite the contrary to be honest.

Because that would mean that if Yua’s sweat soaked into the towel… it would mix with Yua’s bodily fluids.

I can’t do… such an embarrassing thing.

“I had never seen Shinji’s face so clearly at school. I wanted to take another look at it.”

Ousaki suddenly flew into my face, and I was hit in the cheek with a superman punch, which caused me to go down for the second time today.
