Chapter 199 [Bonus ]The Coronation Begins!

Out of the corner of her eye, Seras glanced at her mother.

Kirina had declared that she wanted to help her daughter get dressed and the vampire dragon could not find words to refuse her.

While the two were certainly not enemies, their mother daughter relationship had long been eroded over the course of several centuries.

This was the first time in over 500 years that the two had even been in the same room together.

"Are you nervous, my daughter? Your husband is about to become king of an entire race, and you one of it's queens." Kirina delicately draped a thin black veil over her daughter's shoulders and stepped back to admire her outfit.

Seras wore a ravishing black dress with a deep cut down the center that exposed her cleavage and muscled abdomen.

The dress was cut at an angle at the bottom so that her pure white legs and large tail could both breathe freely without any sort of restraint.

On her ring finger, she wore the same ring of repulsion that he gave to all of his wives, and it served as a symbol of just how far their relationship had progressed since their first meeting.

"There is nothing to be nervous about." Seras replied flatly.

Kirina nodded, expecting such an answer as she moved to brush her daughter's hair. "You have become so beautiful... I'm sure your father has been beside himself with worry ever since you advanced to the 5th stage."

"I have not seen father in ten years. I doubt he's heard of my evolution, or even knows that I've gotten married for that matter."

This admittedly came as a bit of a shock to Kirina, however she elected not to pry.

She did not wish to spoil this happy day by prying into the affairs of her daughter and her supposed husband.

"I see... Well you have chosen quite the splendid husband. His looks, power, and potential are all frighteningly-"

"None of those have anything to do with why I fell in love with Abaddon." Seras interrupted.

"Oh... Then why did you?"

The hybrid woman silently wondered how she should answer that question, or if she should even answer it at all.

The answer was tied with her own familial struggles after all.

"It's... not important."

Seras finally stopped looking at herself in the mirror and prepared to meet the rest of her family, when Kirina suddenly grabbed her wrist.

"Seras... I know that I've made some mistakes but I hope that you will allow me the opportunity to make up for them. I truly do not desire any more from you than that."

"We... shall see what the future holds."

Seras quickly pulled away from her mother and exited the dressing room, leaving Kirina with a small smile on her face.

It wasn't much, but she knew her daughter well enough to know that she had just extended a proverbial olive branch.

Now, all she had to do was put in the work to mend their relationship.

-

It didn't take Seras very long to find the rest of her family minus her husband, and everyone was so immaculately dressed that she couldn't help but feel her eyes sparkle.

"You all look so beautiful!"

Naturally, all of Abaddon's wives had demanded to be present for his coronation.

All seven of them were adorned in immaculate dresses made with only the finest craftsmanship and they could not have looked more queenly if they tried.

"You look great too!"

"I love your dress!"

"I'm jealous your boobs look so much bigger than mine."

"Everyone's boobs are bigger than yours Lailah..."

While the wives engaged in pleasant and lighthearted small talk, the kids were all circled around the family pet, Entei.

"Apophis... why did you do this to him?" Thea asked as she stared at the embarrassed looking guardian lion.

"Our mothers said that everyone had to dress nicely. I thought dog should be included."

"He's not a dog!" Mira reminded.

"Apologies, sister... I thought that Entei should be included."

Mira nodded in satisfaction as she looked at the beast that was bigger than even a bear.

"I think he looks cute!"

"I think he looks embarrassed..."

"I still think he looks like a dog."

The beast in question didn't look all that different from it's usual appearance.

The only difference was that now he was wearing a black bowtie around it's neck.
